Over six years later and I'm coming back to update my review. This location is still awful. You already know how I feel about the pharmacy and that hasn't changed. I only go here because of the convenience of the location. Customer service is awful. They lock a lot of things up now, and have a button to push for customer assistance. I was just there today, on the 4th of July, and the store was nearly empty. I pushed the button to get some eye drops locked up, and stood there waiting for five minutes. Then a young woman employee came down that aisle, completely ignored me, and went on to put yellow tags on items on the shelf. I pushed the button again and she goes "Oh, I can help you with that!" Seems to be both good and bad impressions here. Always reliable and professional for prescriptions but the customer service here is really awful at times. For example came in at sun at 2pm after lunch and pharmacist wasnt even here to put in credentials in computer to even pick up prescriptions. I waited 20 minutes and I was first in line after 2 PM. read more

I was hesitant to use CVS Pharmacy on Lindero Canyon, Oak Park because it is not my prescriber pharmacy. My prescription was denied by my insurance and the cost was stated as $1,200 out of pocket. The pharmacist, Pontea, went to the trouble of locating a supplier where the total cost to me was $186. This pharmacy for vaccines or prescriptions has consistently exceeded my expectations. read more

Yes, it's a smaller branch, but if you get James to help you, it's gold. Also - had the most painless COVID-19 booster imaginable today - Lusineh, very kind young lady boosted both me and the wifey. I am fortunate to have this neighborhood CVS. Theresa is the operations manager at this location. She and her staff are very helpful at finding things in the store. We recently printed several wedding and engagement books there. Theresa was extremely helpful as these books required some decisions. She is polite and attentive to all customers in the store. I witnessed her kindness, because my husband and I were there for several hours arranging the books. The store is clean, organized and they have a nice pharmacy. read more

This is the ultimate in convenience for my old Oak Park neighborhood. They do their best to be well stocked with wine and pool toys! Lol. I miss walking here and getting my prescriptions. Talk about the the worst (Pharmacy) service ever. If you needs meds filled not the place for you. Lazy lazy lazy lazy wow did COVID really screw people's work ethic. The lady literally said I can call about ur refill but I can only stay on the line for maybe two minutes. Because they never answer. As she was standing there just blabbering her mouth about none sense with her coworker. I was a bit rude to the pharmacist today and feel horrible. I am ashamed of my behavior as it was nobodies fault but my own for not being more careful and mindful about paying attention to texts from the pharmacy and not assuming things. She was just doing her job and I took out my frustration on her about a certain medication. She called me back and was able to work it out so I could get the medication today instead of waiting until Monday. I want to thank her and I'm so happy that James, the other pharmacist is back as he's just awesome.... He is always very helpful and friendly. I previously wrote a negative review of this business, and it's time for another one. Three times over the past week this CVS location has closed its doors due to power outages. Other businesses in the center remained open with no problems. Pharmacies provide the vital public service of dispensing medications, some of which require refrigeration. Patients cannot be expected to patiently wait for several days while the pharmacy filling their prescriptions is shut down during business hours. This location seriously needs to get its act together. read more

This is my favorite CVS location of all I've ever been to. The employees are so friendly & helpful & the store is never crowded when I go there which is something I love. Whether browsing or just getting your shopping done quickly & getting out quickly, it's a top quality location. Plus I save a ton of money between ExtraBucks, my CarePass, coupons etc. I don't use the pharmacy so my review has nothing to do with that. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Worst pharmacy ever. The other locations are better managed. I made an appointment for the flu vaccine. I checked in at my exact appointment time. 1 hour later, still no vaccine! And they're taking walk-ins. Why would you add walk ins into the system when you're already so backed up!! Poorly managed. Unfortunately I cant recommend this CVS pharmacy. I've tried to support them as a business that is convenient located for Oak Park & North Ranch. From Waiting forever on the phone to get a question answered to trying to pick up a prescription and even though I was the only person in line, being completely ignored for between 10-15 min. I really just give up. They say "we do our best" really? If that's your best no thanks! I will take my business elsewhere. read more

This is probably the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I held back writing reviews the last two times here giving them the benefit, but after this third time, I have to leave a comment. The pharmacy was chaotic, with half open boxes all over the floor. The computer wasn't working properly so all the information that I pre-entered in did not register and the printer was down as well. Come to think of it the computer was down the last time I was here as well. Overall I felt it was very disorganized and cluttered. Go to the riteaid pharmacy on Kanan for great service and where they have working computers. Even when I had to wait, the pharmacist and the crew have always been kind and apologetic. read more

I love this pharmacy and everyone there with the exception of one person. Her name is Jennifer. I think she just an assistant. Looks to be in her mid 20's and long blonde hair. She has provided service for me the last 4 times I've been there and EVERY TIME she is down right rude. I know everyone has a bad day or two but you can't be in the service industry and treat people how this young girl does. Go get another job Jennifer. It's obvious you do not enjoy your job. This super chain Grocery/ Pharmacy is too large to treat their customers as people they want to please. The employees have no incentive to treat you as a real customer, instead you are something they must "deal with". I have been with them several years, but I am changing. You are better off with CVS if you want to buy groceries, candy of holiday junk. Its not a real pharmacy. read more

1) Went there on a Sunday to pick up pain meds for my wife. Was told that it would take 20 minutes and it ended up being closer to 2 hours. I it is going to be 2 hrs tell me and I will do other things. 2) I was so livid by the time they got to me, I did not realize they miss charged for 2 of the three prescriptions ($150). I go back the next day to get a refund and they can only do one of the two for $40. Asked me to come back the next day for the other and they would be ready by 9-10AM. 3) I came back on the third day at 1PM and they could not find the paperwork they insisted to keep the day before. After raising holy hell, the Pharmacy Manager gave me a CVS gift card for the balance $100. I wanted my CC refunded but for the sake of ending this painful drama, I took the gift card that I can only use at CVS. After the $100 is used up, I am done with CVS. read more

This pharmacy is completely incompetent! I can't think of a single time I've gone to pick up my prescriptions in which they were adequately filled. I'm either missing medications, have the wrong dosages or they're not filled at all even though I received the call saying they were. The staff acts as though your time doesn't matter and informs you that your options are to wait 30+ minutes while they take their sweet time to fill the prescription they already claimed was done or make the drive over there again when they get around to filling at a later time. This last incident was the last straw, they neglected to fill a prescription and then claimed they never received the script from my doctor...which they did because I confirmed it with him. It is NOT okay to mess up people's prescriptions and in my case it's flat out dangerous! read more

She gave my daughter a flu shot and was super sweet to her which made the whole experience more pleasant. CVS should keep hiring people just like her! read more

Alice the pharmacy manager at this location is an absolute rockstar! Our whole family loves her. She is the reason we continue to use this CVS location. She is so patient and kind whenever we call with questions. We went in this morning for flu shots and Alice was juggling numerous people waiting for shots and people picking up prescriptions with various purchases. She handled it all with her cheerful attitude and grace. The entire store team always greets you when you walk in and are happy to help. James was also fantastic when he was at this location. This pharmacy consistently provides a great customer experience. We are so happy to have this gem in Oak Park! read more

I created a Yelp account just to complain about this pharmacy. Oh My God are they awful. I stood there for 10 minutes as the technician ignored me. I finally said something, and was told to wait.... another 10 minutes goes by...and the technician is taking one after another pick up customers and I'm standing there like a fool. Then, the pharmacist and technician began to argue in front of everyone. I took my prescriptions else where. I will NEVER go back there again. This pharmacy location is the slowest location ever! Especially when the older lady with white short hair has a shift. She doesn't know what she is doing and has to wait for pharmacist to help her.
