Bummed to update my review to lower stars but... something stinks. Like literally. I noticed it the last time I was there and thought something out of the ordinary might be going but I went weeks later and it has that same, awful, rotten bathroom smell. It hits you right when you walk in. I thought I was going to gag, I covered my nose and did my best to get what I needed as fast as I could. Self checkout was having issues so I was trapped in there for so much longer than I wanted to. Please do something about that. I can't imagine the poor employees having to spend all day in there. Tonight 3/09/2026, No one was behind me at self check out, so I was taking time to add all of the correct coupons on the stupid app, The checker insisted on lecturing me on how I need to add the coupons before I get to the check out register? Where does it state this in a rule book?? I was visibly stressed with her bugging me. Would you rather me bust out 20 tiny pieces of a receipt to scan for me? I was taking an extra 2 minutes and the register was annoying the cashier, so she wanted to annoy me. I have 3 under 3 at home and I'm trying to just buy what I need for the best deal I can get. I was devastated. Lost my car rental keys in this store just today. I spent over an hour tracing my steps and scouring for them in my business clothes. The gentleman that worked there was concerned and checked in on me a few times, then offered to take my name should they be found. This is the best CVS pharmacy I've ever been to and that's no joke. Because of my life right now, I've had to bounce back between CVS from Kansas City, MO - Van Nuys - Studio City - Hollywood - and Las Vegas - and it's all been wildly frustrating. This Agoura Hills CVS is a breath of fresh air and I mean that.. Every person who works there has been so helpful in dealing with problems that I've had with my insurance and medication etc and they are diligent about returning calls. This store is a mess. I thought I would try ordering online with my mobile. A nightmare of error screens, long waiting times after clicks, product misinformation, and a bunch of other weird bugs. Whoever does their mobile app should be fired. I then tried using a laptop, it worked better and had lots of good deals. However, when I picked up my order it was wrong. They gave me different, cheaper products than what I ordered. I called to get the ordered fixed. After the phone rang for about five minutes I got an answer. Misleading Sales Tactics at Checkout - Beware A woman working at the checkout counter enrolled my underage daughter in the ExtraCare program costing $14.95/month--without explaining what it was. She simply asked if my daughter wanted to save $10 on her purchase (what teen would say no?), then instructed her to enter her phone number, press "yes," and insert her card. No mention of a monthly fee or subscription. This same employee tried the exact same tactic on me two weeks earlier. Fortunately, I read the screen, recognized the deceptive upsell, and immediately called her out. I reported the incident to the Customer Relations Department and cancelled the membership. BEWARE AND CHECK YOUR CC's if she did this to you. 1 month free then it starts billing you, so you might not notice. This kind of misleading behavior--especially targeting minors--is unacceptable. Terrible pharmacists. I asked a question regarding the Covid tests free with insurance since it states online that they still do it. The brown haired lady at consultation with glasses was very rude and dismissed me and said they don't do it anymore. I asked well why does it say it online and I showed her the cvs website stating it. She then asked some white blonde girl in the back with glasses and she then stated it's not a pandemic anymore. Then I asked if there was someone I could talk to about this since the information online is wrong and then they all continued to ignore me as if I was speaking into thin air. I went in to pick up a refill on prescription and they handed me a medication I didn't recognize. It was $1750 for a 3 month supply with insurance. I left and called the doctor. The refill request was for the generic version. What they tried to give me was the brand name. I went back in and the smug jerk at the counter said "let's print the prescription so we can both see", like he was expecting to be right. Sure enough, the prescription the doctor sent in was for the generic. It was $25 for a 3 month supply. Check your prescriptions to make sure they don't try to upsell you to the brand name version. read more

CVS has the poorest possible customer service and uses vague excuses to covertly deny customers access to their medications. Doctors are confirming that they have to bend over backwards to get scripts filled at CVS and prefer non-chain pharmacy services. There are zero benefits to using CVS. Run from this store, go to a mom and pop shop because CVS has so many conflicting priorities that the customer will always be last. And check out the numerous lawsuit stories/DOCUMENTARIES. Mike Levitt is an exceptional pharmacist with a deep knowledge of medicine. Despite the busy atmosphere of the pharmacy he always takes the time to assist each customer, unfortunately this is the only cvs in Agoura so understandably it's always pretty slammed. His helpfulness makes a significant difference for me and my family who seek advice or need medication. Just don't get it. This is my second YELP review. I've had, yet, ANOTHER bad experience at this pharmacy. I ordered a refill online. I received a confirmation 1.) Receipt. 2.) That it would be delivered to my home "today." The Rx never came. So, in order to get my medication, I had to show up to the physical store to pay... again, but with the onus on me to call a "1-800" number. I paid twice. (See: original online receipt below.) This is the upteenth time I have received the explanation: "There is nothing I can do on my system." And it was incumbent upon ME to straighten things out. I don't think CVS understands how this is about patient health. And I don't think CVS understands how to deliver a good customer experience. I hate CVS! Riteaide closed across the street and the closest is 12miles away. I was always able to walk in and get a Flu shot at Riteaide but CVS does not talk walk-ins and only does online reservations. I ask the technician to Ck if the CVS in Oak Park would take walk ins and she says to call myself and Ck. I ask her if she can just call for me really quick and she says to me she can give me the number for me to call but she was too busy to Ck for me. I turn around and I was the only one in line and no one else near the pharmacy. I promptly called the Riteaide in TO and the technician stated that they can fit me for a walk in with no issues. I arrive 20 min later and there was a line there, however they had me in and out in 15 min. CVS, your customer service is poor and if it were for the fact you are 1mile away, I would not visit you period! read more

the pharmacist here is mean and unprofessional, i wish he was on a recorded line. he licks CVSs boots all day, despite this pharmacy chain having the highest suicide rates of providers, and they do not accept GOODRX because it saves the customer money. l I can never get my meds right (i work in insurance) i'm constantly lasping meds because the wonderful pharmacist won't dispense my medicine as my doctor prescribed. i have to get the exactly biblical wording or the pharmacist has no idea what could be needed like going from 30 pills to 60 in a month.... gotta now re call my doctor so I can get my meds filled with the verbiage needed. which is not legality, idc what this quack pharmacist says, he's just lazy and i know that because he's actually happy with CVS. The Pharmacy is a disaster. I've been receiving a non-generic medication from them for years and for the last 3 refills they keep trying to give me generic. For years, they had me listed under two versions of my name - and despite the fact that I corrected the problem multiple times, it continued until recently. I have 2 refills remaining on my current prescription and they insist that I should not receive a refill for weeks despite the fact that my prescription is empty. (This is in fact due to an insurance mistake I have already corrected with the pharmacy.) It's impossible to get a pharmacist on the phone -- and after an hour of trying today, I got through to a pharmacist on a phone line that was so garbled that I could not be heard. On top of this, the main pharmacist I spoke to last was absolutely belligerent. I've called CVS customer complaint line and intend to send letters to the company. I can deal with human error - but the belligerence on top it - not so much! read more

I went to the CVS drugstore (5623 Kanan Road Agoura, CA 91301 ) on 4Nov2019 right after picking my boy from school, 3:30PM. I asked the front manager (heavy set, older lady) to help me find eye wash after looking in different section already. She then said that "if it isn't on the section you've looked then we are out". Then I asked to call someone to help me reassure that the item I was so desperately looking wasn't indeed unavailable. She turned her back and walked away completely ignoring my request. This is not the customer service I've received in the last 12 years. I understand she may be having a bad day., However, this type of customer service is simply unexpected, inexcusable, and unacceptable. Under staffed. Always. The staff they have are always unfriendly. And inept. Wait time is 45 plus minutes. Reps are rude, unpleasant and unsympathetic. If we are going to the Pharmacy, it's mostly because we are in pain. So getting attitude from the servers are not necessary. Does CVS makes it a per-requisite for employees to be completely inexperienced? Go to Rite Aid across the street. A very rude lady is in the pharmacy. Her name is Shiva Siamandi. Every time that she is in the pharmacy you should forget about filling your prescriptions. One time after I've waited in the line for long time, she said I can't take prescription today, come back tomorrow. The other time after a month that she told me they didn't receive the fax for refill, she told me we can't take prescription by fax. Today my son had fever and when I took the prescription to the pharmacy, first she started nodding her head and then told me tell your doctor he shouldn't write prescription on paper. I replied to her, first the doctor doesn't listen to me and second my son has fever. Can you please just fill the prescription. She started arguing with me that some state doesn't take this and we won't take this soon. My answer was let's do this now and whenever it is law we will discuss about it. Finally I had to tell her let me take the prescription to another place. I had checked with the next door RITEAID and another CVS, and they've both accepted the prescription as the other doctors in the pharmacy would. I think she just don't want to get the pharmacy overwhelmed and gives all of these excuses. I had tried to talk to the store manager couple time, but she never is in the store. read more

So I came back the next day even though I paid for same day service. Not only was it not done someone had deleted the entire order. Never getting anything printed there again.
