On May 22nd my friends and I came for happy hour. We have been multiple times before but this has been one of the worse experiences. When we arrived, we weren't greeted but were just stared at. There was no room at the bar so we opted on the patio. We waited for about 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us. Our server was a sweet girl and informed us that this was her 3rd day there. More of our friends came so we asked if we could move inside since it was hot and the fans were covered. Once we were inside, our server informed us after 20 minutes that the BOGO appetizer wouldn't be honored due to us being inside. We asked if we could speak to the manager and once she came, she came with an immediate attitude. I spoke to her with respect and I didn't receive the same. I asked her if the special would be honored if we were on the patio and she said yes but you can't keep coming back and forth. When that was never the case, we were just trying to get a better understanding. I felt bad for our server because she was not trained properly and was thrown in a situation that was not necessary. It also seemed like she was the only one actually working. She is a very sweet girl and I wish her the best. With that being said management needs to better training and actually put all customers first and not their regulars. I was warned about their customer service but wanted to give them a try. Went to get the 50 cent wings and I asked the waitress can I get 20 wings because I want to take some to work tomorrow. We said we'll you not suppose to take wings home its fine in only but I got you. I said OK cool so when I get to check out she got amnesiaand charged me the full price for 20 wings. Unfortunately I googled searched for ways to contact management but there is NO information of email address to discuss my displeasure with incident that transpired today and subsequent conversation with a person who claimed she was the manager. NOT only was the service lacking, we received our meals late and the food was cold. Today, We arrived at @ 715 pm sat in patio area ordered drinks and food. We received our Burger basket and Cat fish basket @ 750 pm. The fries and onion rings were cold and fish and burger tepid but we were hungry so decided to only request hot fries and onion rings. I stood at window several times trying to get some ones attention regarding our meal. Once I was finally able to ask for replacement hot fries and onion rings (also silverware, catsup and mayo) WE DID NOT receive our fries and O rings until 820 pm YES OVER 1 hour from time we ordered. I refused the fries and O rings because we had finished our burger and cat fish. The waiter said she spoke w her manager and I have to pay full price for the baskets. I explained that payment is not the issue, the PRINCIPLE is the issue and I requested to speak with manager. Another lady arrived and announced she was the manager and informed me that I have to pay full price because we received the complete meal and I quickly corrected her that we just now received edible fries and onion rings over 1 hour from the time we ordered it. I expressed Im willing to pay for what we consumed but I'm not paying full price for the basket base on principle. She stated she can not itemize bill and remove those items because it was ordered as basket meal. I corrected her that you can order burger as a single item (failed to tell her same for the fries and onion rings base on menu items indivdually). I stood firm that I was not paying for basket i did not eat because I did not receive it timely. I reinforced that Im willing to pay for what we consumed. I reminded her that I recently was there and had excellent service and left an overly gratuitous tip and she recalled and even told me the waiter name was Aniyah. The manager told me I had to full price and again I told I was not willing to do that but I'm trying to compromise and will pay for what we consumed. She told me to leave the premises and we are NEVER allowed to return to this establishment. So we left peacefully. I really would like to speak with someone in management because I really did not want to do this on the this forum. Wish I would have saw reviews before coming here. Walked in at about 1:30 on a Sunday absolutely no souls in there. You'd think that place would be busy. One lady at the bar who was friends with the bartender and she just had some drinks. We were starving so we immediately ordered wings and chicken tenders. Everything on the menu is fried food. 40 mins pass and I say "excuse me? Any idea on when the food may be out" so she goes back to check and says about 4 more mins he was waiting on the wings???? Like what...so then 10 mins later our food comes out. There's absolutely no way these little wings and frozen chicken tenders took 40 mins. We were the only ones that ordered food, no one in there. Took the waiters a little minute before they come to you. We met some friends there and despite our friends already being there, it took over 10 mins before the waiter noticed extra people had arrived. The food is nothing to call home to momma or daddy about. I guess you're supposed to be drunk and wouldn't notice. I am vegetarian and ordered the kids meal grilled cheese sandwich on vegetarian option. It was apparent that the grill was not clean, It was a blackened grilled cheese sandwich, parts of the bread were so hard you couldn't even break with your hand. The fries were so salty as if they just poured the whole bottle of salt on the fries. The music is self DJ, meaning there is a jukebox and customers control it via an app on your phone. Justice the bartender was the best, she tended to us very promptly and was very charismatic/had good conversation. We told her we would be back after a softball game, we came back, new crew was in. We had a minor so we couldn't sit with her and we willingly sat in a booth in the back. No greeting, no acknowledgement. The host ignored us while they were chit chatting at the bar, so we left. Had we checked the reviews before coming in, we could've saved ourselves 40 minutes eating somewhere else. Food? No idea, we left before we even received our drinks. Service? They've never heard of it.. walked in, no one acknowledged us, even through they looked up and made eye contact. We read the "please wait to be seated sign". We arrived at 7:30PM. Waiting as mentioned to be seated, just to be told to seat ourselves. The restaurant only had about 4 bar booths, 2-3 high tops, & people seated at the bar; with what looked like ~3 servers and a bartender. Evidently not busy as all. We sat in our booth for about 12 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged, before a member of our group had to get out of the booth and bring a server to our table to have her take our drink order. We asked what frozen drinks they had and she said they had a regular lime margarita & pina colada. We ordered a marg, and two fountain drinks. 3 minutes later she's back telling us it was actually a green apple or the pina colada. Pina colada was ordered. We then looked over the menu, prices were ridiculous, everything was an up charge, EVEN A SIDE OF KETCHUP???? At this point it had been probably another 10 minutes that passed and we were wondering where our drinks were. Around 8:06 we said "if she's not back with our drinks by 8:10, let's just go". I'm sure y'all can guess what happened next. As we were walking out, I saw her standing by the well, went up to her and said "hey we are going to go somewhere else". She turned, chuckled, and said "oh I'm sorry I was just getting your drinks". I let her know it's okay we are going to get going. No one acknowledged us as we left. They seemed to be relieved that they didn't have to serve people in the dining room. Experience was unpleasant. The location is nice & has potential to be great, but they have a lot to work on. Not a manager in sight, is anyone even running this place? Another thing we saw, there was a lady who walked in after we did, while we were standing at the host stand. She sat herself at the bar top, as we waited in the booth. The first time going, the fish fillets were on point so we thought that this would be our new to-go-to place but...today we went and the fish was fishier than any fish should be; the slices of onion looked to be from the skin (peel) of the onion, the fries were hard and the slice of bread was soggy from the fish oil. Hard no. 1. How can you try to force people to buy alcoholic beverages in order to get the food deals? For example the wings night. I think that is super insensitive. I understand a drink purchase ( pop, lemonade, etc) but not forcing alcohol 2. I feel like singing the theme song to that TV show, Cheers every time I enter this bar. You want to go where everybody knows your naaaame... It gives you that small town vibe with modern conveniences. Multiple TVs, booth and bar seating, and even a section for families. The food is actually good too. So far, I've tried the bacon cheeseburger and the catfish nuggets-surprisingly good. Other menu items include a pork chop basket, and of course, wings. We visited drafts for $0.75 wing night. The food was fresh, and it was delicious. The flavors were savory and we enjoyed it. The food was hot. The restaurant was fairly empty besides the party going on at the bar. My only complaint was that we ordered chicken tenders for my 7 year old, and were charged an adult order. The kids tenders were $7 and come with a drink. Instead we were charged $12.99 for a chicken tender basket plus $3 for her kid's drink. Mind you- she's 7 and didn't eat much. When asked about it, the server said that she'd entered an adult order to the system. No other troubleshooting was offered. Additionally, I was charged for ten wings when I'd only ordered 5, and brought 5. Run, don't walk away from this place. The floors were sticky, no garbage bags were in the bathroom, and they had not been cleaned in a few days. I don't know how you manage to mess up deep-frying food, but they do. It was raw and nasty. The staff was nasty. What is with the short shorts? Is this a sports bar to watch games or a place to watch staff partially naked? My wife and I were asked to move from the booth because it was happy hour, the football game was on, and the booths were for more than two people. The sad part is there were only eight people in the bar. No one wanted the booth we were sitting in. They had the couple behind us move too. We all did move right out the door. As a resident in Mira Lagos, I noticed Drafts a few weeks ago...and on Thursday, December 2nd I finally stopped by for a drink and meal; and 5 friends joined me. I'd like to support Drafts and here are some recommendations: (1) When our local teams play (for ex. The Cowboys) please ensure you have enough waitresses/waiters and cooks. Our waitress told us the service was extremely SLOW because there were only 2 waitresses and one cook. That's unbelievable...especially for a Cowboys vs Saints crowd. (2) If you're gonna serve "tough" pork chops, provide silverware because plasticware "just don't cut it." (3) Before seating customers, let them know it may take 60-90 minutes to get their food and drink refills. Since Drafts is practically in the neighborhood, I plan to return...and I hope the service and the pork chops are better. During games, please ensure you have more than enough employees to take orders, refill drinks, bring out the food, cook, etc. Please provide silverware for meat...plastic utensils just don't work well on certain food items. Well I went last night with some folks from work. I was in a rush and could only stay for about 20mins. I walked in and immediately ordered, an Angry Orchard and a Vegas Bomb shot. Well the bartenders are not bartenders, the waitresses have to enter in ingredients when you order . We told her the instants but the "bartender" came to our table and was rude - sounds like the same Hispanic guy from the other review. We had to tell him what was in it, how to make it and what glass to serve it in; it was still wrong. No biggie it happens. I checked out to run and grab my kid. I returned about an hour later and my friends were still there. I ordered some wings and fries. The fries were bland and old. There was no seasoning whatsoever, I sent them back for fresh, seasoned fries. This place is great! The catfish is well cooked and simply one of the best, I've ever had. My husband had the catfish nuggets this time and I had the link basket. Both were well cooked and tasty. We both substituted the fries for the salad. The salad was fresh and had a variety of ingredients in it. The staff is always friendly and ready to give great suggestions. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. My pictures could be better but the taste made up for it. We truly love supporting small business but it is clear they are targeted toward a specific demographic. One bartender was very nice but the one serving us was horrible (again).
