I visited this buffet today with my wife and kids and extended family and we all loved it!! We were surprised how good it was! I thought the food was excellent and I think that's saying something as I'm Chinese. I especially liked the fried fish and the personal ice cream cups. The cost was $15.99 for a Saturday lunch. We're definitely coming again and I'd recommend you come again. The food was very fresh, the place was very clean, and it was just a very refreshing, pleasant experience. We've been to numerous Buffets throughout the area. Dragon Buffet's hibachi bar was kind of lackluster. The sauce options weren't very good and they use sliced frozen beef and chicken (similar to that of a hot pot place). The counter food was pretty bland in flavor and most of it was sitting out for long periods of time. I wasn't a fan of general tsos, the honey chicken or the fish. Most of the chicken was overcooked that was sitting out. The chicken and broccoli was the best item up on the hot bar. The soups were good as well. I enjoyed the Pork Buns and the Dim Sum as well. Cleanliness was an issue, numerous dirty soda cups and dishes. The lady working the register didn't even say hello upon entering. She just turned the card reader towards us where it read 42 dollars. She didn't say thank you, enjoy, have a nice day or anything. We used to frequent this all you can eat haven as far back as 2015, until we got Lin Buffet in our own neck of wood, sparing us from having to drive 45+ minutes. That being said, we still make sure we come empty-stomached whenever we come to Lancaster to shop so we can include this in our itinerary. The décor is a bit dated in style but I can imagine it's glory days. There are a few things I like very much about Dragon Buffet compared to other Asian buffets in the area: - You pay up front at the counter. Like all AYCEs in Las Vegas. - Saturday lunch is at weekday lunch price - There are a lot more seafood offerings - Drinks are included: fountain drinks, coffee and tea - Best value over all Come early, like shortly after the restaurant opens at 11 am. As mentioned before, this place is huge so it take a while to fill it up. But once it does, line forms and never goes away. From our experience, there was lines even during odd hours like 3 pm (Saturday). Unless schedule doesn't work out or you absolutely want king crab legs, come for lunch instead of dinner. You get only 5-6 replacements (not in addition) of their lunch offerings for higher caliper dishes but pay $6 more. As far as I'm concerned, my stomach already cannot accommodate all the lunch dishes I wanted to eat. Also, bring cash for tips. Visited on a Friday evening and liked that it was seat yourself. There was a very large selection of food. Some items were a bit cold but still tasty. My daughter loved the dumplings so we did take out then Sunday before we left the area. Arrived at 11am and food was super hot and tasty. Prices for take out were great! Self serve drinks ( included) and silverware. Waitress came promptly to remove any used dishes. $18.99 per adult per dinner. Same dinner price any days of the week. Drinks included. Large selection of food. Sushi is buffet grade and acceptable. They have hibachi and little dim sum section including shiu mai , roast pork bun, taro bun and wrapped steamed sticky rice with sweet red bean filling. As an Asian who ate so much dim sum, the quality of course isn't up to standard. But it's part of variety that it offers. Overall food was fresh. Crab was plenty, no need to wait or fight. Tasted the crab but it's not fresh. Can skip. Drinks include fountain drink, coffee, hot tea, ice tea and 7-11 style cappuccino machine( include hot cocoa). Chair backs and tables and floor can be sticky sometimes. Ripped seats frequently seen. Decor isn't old. It's comfortable. Frequent wiping the buffet table by staff. During our 2 days trip to Lancaster we had 2 lunch buffets: one in Dragon Hibachi and one in Manor buffets. And the winner of our impression of these lunches unfortunately was not the Dragon. Here is the reason why: Less choices, mostly tasteless food, and the beverages station which we NEVER saw in any Chinese/Japanese style buffets. With this kind of food we usually had a pot of hot tea that we ordered and was brought right to the table in stead of making two or three trips to the station when you need to pour some more into the cup. Particularly if lets say you are disable person and either you or your partners at the table have to make those trips. Feels REALLY strange and shows lock of proper service right in your face. So, why bother with good tips for just taking off the used plates as a "service". No, we didn't appreciate this kind of service at all, and though the sushi and desserts stations were much better quality here then in Manor buffet we probably would chose that one for our next visit. P.S. Above you see my review from Aug 20, 2021. Yesterday I had lunch there for $19 (including 10% of tips + tax) and was verry sorry I've wasted my time and money here. Nothing changed here except of the sushi quality went down, and the price of course went up. It was a very unpleasant experience of eating bad food being watched by bored to death servers like you are a prisoner in a jail canteen. My husband and I eat there regularly, sometimes we meet another couple there too. We are pretty much satisfied with the food. We love the honey chicken most. We would love if you would do away with those little cakes that are very cute, but taste like cardboard. Nobody tries them a second time, thats why they last so long. About the service, ok they take your plates, but sometimes they swoop in to get them before you put the last bit of food in your mouth. It's like they're standing over you to grab it. And would it kill them to smile and say hello? They're so stone faced . When you say thank you they act like they don't hear you. I don't consider that good customer service. The ambiance....when we meet the other couple they like to sit in the room up the steps and the music is so loud up there we have to scream to talk. If we ask them to turn it down they don't seem to know what we mean. When we are by ourselves we sit in the other room. Lately we have noticed it is very cold in the restaurant. I keep forgetting to bring a sweater, I looked around and other people have sweaters on. Also that makes the food get cold very quickly . I hope you take my recommendations to heart. read more

First post-Covid visit, and although price has gone up to $18.99 for dinner, it's still well worth it in my opinion. This buffet is massive. If you want to eat your face off, with Asian & American food & dessert this is the place to do it. It's also $5.99 per pound for take out boxes. They have literally everything Chinese & a full sushi bar. We went early just before 5pm on a Saturday in December & everything was hot & fresh and being replenished quickly. The sushi is being fresh made & hibachi grill fresh makes stir fry's etc. They also have regular American comfort foods & foods kids like. They offer a big soda, iced tea, lemonade, milk, coffee selection & your refillable drink is included in the price. After 5pm on weekends there is always a line to get in. I sampled lots of stuff & was full. In addition to Asian desserts they have Hershey's ice cream cups in 5 flavors. Sure, a regular Chinese or Japanese restaurant will be freshest, but this is a pretty great buffet. I paid $23 for a sushi platter at Wegman's & ate that much sushi here, plus everything else for 18.99. You pay upon entry & can add tip for those who clean up your plates, cook etc. They have lots of seating, booths & tables. The restaurant is located in the shopping plaza that a long time ago used to be Kmart on the Fruitville Pike. The parking lot is shared with the other other businesses in the plaza so it can get full but it's usually pretty easy to find a spot. We would definitely return. read more

We decided to give this place another chance after some years and are we glad we did! I don't know if it was an off day for us or an off day for the restaurant or a combo. Either way, my wife and I had a fantastic time! Everything was so fresh! My wife had the hibachi, which was so delicious, I can't wait to go back and order it. I had sushi and the peel your own shrimp, some soup, and some of the various items on the buffet. All delicious. The staff was friendly. The price was great! Drinks are included. My daughter raved how good this place was. Came multiple times with her friends. Well... First off the floors felt like you're on a stand-up slip n' slide. If you can get by that, you start to study the detail of the decor and notice things aren't maintained or fixed. Then there's the food.... Every dish was a bizarro version of what it should have been. Just off enough to make you pause. Each bite made you lose the desire to take another. Someone mentioned the food being cold in an another review. Completely accurate. Everything looking steaming, but by the time you got back to your table, the food was room temperature at best. without a doubt don't ever ever ever and I mean ever ever ever go to this place. Without a doubt, everything was just dirty. I don't think they put a rag on any of the bars. I had never seen anybody even clean while I was there.. The food was lukewarm too cold and hard as a rock because nobody changed any food while I was there they may have added to it, but they just added nasty stuff to it.. they made us pay before we even sat down to eat at which I understand now because that was the nastiest food and I mean this I'm not even exaggerating. They need to burn this place down and not even start over. Eh...about what I expected BUT they do have a hibachi grill--- grab a plate and load it with the items you want grilled from the cold bar connected to it, tell the cook which sauce you'd like and in a few minutes you have a fresh pretty tasty meal. The hibachi grill saved it for me! However I did get a piece of steak the first time--- there's not a Knife to be found so that was just a waste as the grill cook did not slice the meat and instead just plated the hunk of meat that I couldn't do much with other than to tear at with my fork. We drove a 4.5-hour roundtrip from DC, to see whether Dragon Buffet is as good as people say. I am pleased to report it lives up to the hype! I am all about the Chinese dishes, and they are delicious, well seasoned, and well executed. This is real, authentic Chinese cooking, and the chef knows what he is doing, The sushi, both maki and nigiri, are delicious as well, so fresh and flavorful. The included, self-serve sodas and the Hershey's ice cream for dessert are the cherries on top. The food is fresh and replenished frequently, and the place is clean and comfortable. My friends and I have been coming here a time or two per month for the past few years. The food has been consistent (and honestly quite good for a buffet), with various options including some sushi/sashimi, some Chinese, some more Americanized stuff, and some desert/fruit/ice cream options! I go for the sushi/sashimi every time and am a big fan of the chicken and broccoli. With this, nothing is life-changing, but is definitely more flavorful and fun than an American buffet. Looks like ALL of Lancaster was there that day, last Sunday. Many larger families , couples (young/older), children running around, plates piled high with food, noodles, spilling onto the floor. In other words, a food frenzy of madness! For the chow you get, the price was right. Surprisingly, the restaurant was tidy, service was excellent (dirty plates were immediately removed and floor food debris, was always swept up). There was a hibachi grill, a sushi station (which always looked depleted), fried shrimp with heads on, steamed shrimp on ice and a heavy hand of horseradish in the cocktail sauce (just the way I like it). Other stations: salad makings, fresh fruit, soup, gyoza, dumplings, salmon/trout, crawfish, crabs in sauce, noodle dishes, a variety of chicken and meat dishes, fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, string beans, plantains, meat on skewers, fried rice, fried foods and squares of cakes, puddings and ice-cream for dessert. Place went waaay downhill. Do yourself a favor and head about 5 miles east on 30 to Manor buffet. Way better, cleaner, friendlier, tastier...etc. I had no issues with getting my own drink, it's always been that way here. I do have an issue getting my own silverware, napkins, bussing my own table because nobody would even after walking by our table and looking at the piles up plates. Also it was about an hour and a half before closing and they already started cleaning up and were very reluctant to replenishing anything. read more

Muscles a shellfish were excellent. The teriyaki chicken was cooked great. The selection was great and there was a diverse amount of food, both American and foreign. The fish is fine but it sits out so it gets a little bit dry. I got like 3 plates of food and fortune cookies for me and my friends. Very disappointing visit. Took my kids early knowing that there would be a rush for Valentine's Day. The woman at the register and the hostess who seated us were not friendly. I know it's a buffet and quality is typically sacrificed, but it's really gone down hill. I hope this was an off night because my kids really love coming here. I literally spit the mussel out in a napkin. The taste and the texture were off. I couldn't tell if it was freezer burned or what, but there was almost an immediate gag reflex. The oysters were also inedible. Completely frozen to the shell and not detached. The shrimp were over cooked and the sushi was subpar. The little neck clams were the best out of all the seafood. While you can find better Chinese establishments, the chicken wings are decent, which seems weird. I do wish they had some kind of sauce for the wings though or some hot sauce on the tables. I like the variety of fruit. My kids always enjoy a plate of fruit after their meals. I tried a bite of all the desserts and was left with a strange taste in my mouth. One of the best Chinese buffets I've been to (and I've been to a lot). As soon as you walk in you're surprised by the nice, sprawling decor. You'd think you were in a trendy suburban restaurant and not a Chinese buffet in rural Lancaster. You'll be cautiously optimistic. The scenery is nice - but does the food hold up? Yes it does. You'll get high quality food (for a buffet) and you'll get it for a very reasonable price. It's got the normal line up for a Chinese buffet to include a sushi bar and hibachi grill. It also has some of them items like crawfish and oysters that my Cantonese friends like. The taste is well above your average buffet. It's also self serve on the sodas which is a bonus.
