Arrived to find it was not a sit down establishment. After waiting for our takeout and looking about the room, I can understand why. The business is staffed by only two persons and what would be the sit down space is filled with boxes of supplies. My cashew chicken was largely a zucchini dish with added bits of cashews and chicken. My wife's Orange chicken was small bits of chicken amidst a large wad of coating that created a good size pile of "stuff' when the chicken bits were extracted. One has to feel sympathy for one's digestive system subjected to this. I will not go into the fried rice which did not fair well either. As others have mentioned the cost was low, but gee whiz really considering what you got. All in all while the lady was sweet yet a bit hard to understand (maybe due to the mask she was wearing), I would not again visit this establishment. read more

It's a wonder this little Chinese hole in the wall in Heber is still in business. They shut down to indoor dining due to covid and now only do take out. Prices are great but the portions are tiny and the food on the verge of disgusting. I went in to pick up my to go order and everything around me was so very dirty. I'm sure they are in violation of several health codes. The floor was sticky the, bathroom was sticky, the walls haven't had a good wipe in months and I kept my fingers crossed that I wouldn't get sick. I ordered three distinct dishes, Mongolian beef, Szechuan chicken, and chicken and plum sauce and specifically told the woman taking my order that I wanted to make sure the flavors stood out. Best Chinese along the Wasatch Back. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place isn't fancy nor is it fast but the owners are hard working and the food tastes great. The wife and I order out usually once a month and we're never disappointed. Our favorites are the House rice, House lo mein, Dragon Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Spicy Beef and Cheese Won Ton's. Warning to the uptight: If you're expecting anything more than an old school Chinese restaurant this is not the place for you. This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. We ordered lo mein- the noodles were store bought sphegetti noodles- I couldn't believe it. We ordered wonton soup and it tasted like there was a cup of salt added to it- not exaggerating. We were very reluctant to eat there based on the first impression from the dirty menus and table! We spoke to several people around use who stated they enjoyed the food there, so we decided to stay. The vegetables were fresh and the chicken was tender. I enjoyed the egg drop soup, as well. The lady running the place was working alone and was obviously overwhelmed. It's an American fast food place and they do it well! Much better than the super standardized Panda Express flavors. It's cheap and the owners/workers are super nice. Love this place. Definitely doesn't look like much but the food is outstanding. A sweet little old lady owns it and is always working. It's usually just her and one guy in the kitchen so if they get slammed with people dining in and takeout, it can be a bit slower. I made it home only to be disappointed. The quality seems good but it's not what I expected. I Ordered king pao tofu. It's Very healthy but no spice, no peanuts, and literally no flavor. Soft ( not fried) tofu, zucchini, celery, carrots. No chili sauce on side. So basically I'm eating something I'd give a two year old toddler . I'm now at home trying to find something to add flavor and they didn't even include chili sauce, so I'm adding nuts, sesame oil etc. I'm assuming this was made for a pallet who doesn't actually like Chinese food. while I know it was freshly made with wonderful veggies, and healthy i could made something more flavorful at home with organic veggies for less $ . Excellent find on our pit-stop in Heber! We came in here with modest expectations and were glad to find a welcoming hostess, fast service, and good food. The cream cheese wontons were fantastic! We got the Dragon special chicken and the shrimp fried rice as entrées and both were good. The chicken especially was perfectly cooked with a well-balanced sauce. Loved this place once upon a time but they started slipping on little things that ended up making big problems VS canton city. The location has and unfortunately will always be a unattractive eye sore of this place, but for those that know good food can come from a taco cart and be better then a restaurant... we give it a shot. Overcooking food has been my worst let down and lack of sauce on the sweet n sour chicken (I get almost everytime). BUT then I discovered their Dragon Star Chicken...my mouth is drooling as I write this. Egg Foo Young has always been good. Shrimp as well and also the Seaseme Chicken is great. The cheese wantons here will always beat Cantons cheese puffs, end of story. And if you like egg drop soup, this is also the place to go. Supporting this place won't leave you disappointed. Here it is: These folks know exactly how to make authentic Chinese food!! However, they do not get enough business regularly to move the food through fast enough! It stinks but if these people would catch a lucky break and somehow move into a more customer friendly space, we'd probably all go there. But, they are in a semi-dirty little used-up space where you walk in and wonder 'is this an actual business' and as your about to turn and make a run for it, a sweet little lady comes out and starts helping. I realized they had the right idea in the wrong place when I went in for take out on a Friday at lunch-time and it was totally empty. That is not a good sign. I've never actually seen the place full or even half full, so it makes me nervous about the quality of the food I'm getting. The last time I got food, these thoughts got me so nervous I think I hallucinated my food to being bad. (It wasn't) But, how can it be good at all when I'm 1 of maybe 15 customers? Well we tried. Locals have sworn THIS is the Chinese place to eat at. Nope nope nope. We ordered hot and sour soap, wontons (cheese puffs), egg rolls, and potstickers. The food was boarder line " just okay" creeping into "this really isn't good". We ordered to go. Food was made in a timely manner. The potstickers were exspensive for quantity and they gave us like 10 drops of the sauce. Hot and sour soup was bland and nothing in it. I don't know. I'm not saying this is the best Chinese restaurant you'll ever find. However, my hubby and I were pleasantly surprised by how tasty our food was. We came on a cold Friday night when most places in town were packed to the rafters. We just wanted good food in a quiet spot. It's a little run down, the ambiance is a little bare and glaring, but that was no matter. The couple running the restaurant are sweet and friendly. We ordered hot and sour soup, pot stickers, sweet and sour pork and general tso's chicken. It was all very tasty but the chicken was super delicious.
