Once again we had a great meal. Our server was friendly and worked alone but got our drinks and food in a timely manner. We were almost the only ones here except for 2 other people. The ambiance was casual. We again got the Sayonana roll and asked for it to be rolled with soy paper. It was amazing! Once again we can't complain. Very good lunch. The menu is elaborate! Almost too many choices and the prices are very low!! The food was great and at those prices I'm tempted to order way more than I could eat! My reason for not giving 5 starts was even though the place was empty they chose to seat the next group of people right next to my table which was slightly distracting since they were loud and practically at our table. I was afraid to eat more than a couple of dubious bites. My dog enjoyed a $35 fish plate though. I'm adding a pity star because the owners seem nice. I'm guessing you need to stick to sushi here. Hot and sour soup: definitely not made in house. First ever soup I have had that tasted literally like nothing. Warm water with a different texture Small house salad: I was expecting the traditional iceberg with an Asian or ginger in house dressing. It came cold with ranch out of a bottle - fail Bento box with orange chicken: very rarely have I ever experienced a soggy dish but this was beyond soggy. Very very little flavor again. It came out in 5 mins from Ordering which says a lot. The spring roll didn't come with any sauce. Crispy but again, no flavor and mush inside. The side of veggies was in some sort of sauce but there was such little flavor I can't tell you what kind. I'm giving one star here because to my shock, given everything else the veggies were fresh and cooked well. Another star for good service. Hard pass on food here. Maybe I'll try sushi but I'm guessing this place is way overrated. However, for the Chinese food I would round up to four stars. The appetizer pot stickers were great! The beef and vegetables was pretty good as well. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant. Ordered cashew chicken lunch bento and beef with snow peas lunch bento. These come with hot-n-sour soup, 2 Potstickers, 2 spring rolls accompanied by white rice. Really awkward experience for lunch. Worst experience in a sushi restaurant ever. No place settings, no napkins, took our food order and didn't ask about drinks or provide water. I had to get up to ask for water and then he only brought one water for three people. Egg rolls were good, edamame was good, crab Rangoon is really a deep fried green pepper with cream cheese and a crab stick - no warning that it wasn't a traditional prep. Fire dragon roll and UU roll were good but they didn't serve it with ginger or wasabi and we had to improvise a container for soy soil to dip because I wasn't getting up again to get his attention. The fire dragon roll comes lit on fire, don't touch the plate or foil because there is gas leftover from it. When he served the sushi he didn't bring chop sticks or anything so we had to ask and he forgot so we just looked at our food until he wandered back. I had to get up again to ask for a check and to go box - that's when I saw prepped ginger and wasabi which really just pissed me off because we ate it without ever being offered or serve it. We just wanted out of there, the whole experience was like pulling teeth to get through the basic order of operations to be served. There was only one guy serving but we came off peak and it was not busy - he just served everyone very chaotically with no forethought which made his life harder. 2 stars because the food didn't suck. read more

Giving the benefit of a doubt that maybe they'd be better on a different day. We went on a Thursday night. It wasn't busy at all but there were several dirty tables. The sushi and gyoza were pretty good. However, the sesame and orange chicken were both mushy and cold, almost like it had been warmed in the microwave and only the top got warm. The egg drop soup looked like dirty dishwater. Service was practically nonexistent. After receiving our food the waiter never came back around. If I lived here, I might give it another shot. But as a tourist, I recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

Satisfied our cravings. We came through town on a road trip this summer and was looking for either a restaurant that had Covid spacing or a take out place to bring the food back to our hotel. We saw this place in a folder at the hotel and came to grab some dinner. Totally lucked out and bought at 'happy hour' which means all food was 50% off. Awesome deal for the amount of food you get. This place serves Chinese food AND Sushi. I ordered chicken low mein while my partner got a couple sushi rolls. Both were good. Ichiban makes average American Chinese food and sushi. Since my initial review I have avoided all of their Japanese options and now mainly stick with the American Chinese staples like General Tso's Chicken. Speaking of the General Tso's Chicken, it usually is decent and moderately better than the others available in Heber City. Unfortunately during my last visit the chicken was overcooked and the breading was soggy mush. So YMMV. The sushi is ok. It's not fresh, obviously frozen. If you believe differently then please consider this, Utah hasn't had beach front property to the ocean for about 500 million years. Panda Express is now located across the street. Here's to hoping that Ichiban, Dragon Star, and Canton City all up their games to remain competitive. I really wish all of them success by taking this opportunity to upgrade their food and service. read more

The hubby and I road-tripped to Utah for our honey moon and the second we got to our location we were starving so of course we had to look for a sushi spot cause we are obsessed with sushi this place was one of the closest near the area so we decided to give it a try! We got here at around 2:45 and it was empty just us were here so we were hesitant to try this place out after all but surprisingly we were not disappointed the food was really good and there service was on point as well!
