My only slight issue was just a few things that were lost in translation -- they had the address wrong, were not close on spelling my name right, and then the price. They told me they could fix the issue for $135 which I agreed to, then was a bit surprised when the bill was for $209 as the final bill included the parts & labor. No biggie and a very fair price for the tune up and replacement, just would've been nice to know the actual total. The total price did match up with my expectations, so no biggie, just worth noting as I feel like maybe they could automate their bookings/billing just a tad better. TL:DR; I appreciate how fast they were, how they diagnosed and fixed it, and the price point. I'd call them again if the need arises.

Our project involved replacing deteriorated cast iron drain piping beneath our kitchen and basement. The plumbing work appears to have been completed correctly, but getting there was one of the most frustrating contractor experiences we've had. The problems started on day one. I took a day off work because our project was scheduled to begin that morning. Instead, we were told the necessary equipment wasn't available, so the work had to be postponed. While disappointing, I understood that things happen and agreed to reschedule. Unfortunately, that set the tone for the rest of the project. Appointments were repeatedly delayed or rescheduled. Crews arrived hours after their scheduled arrival window without anyone calling to let us know. Several times we had to contact Mission ourselves just to find out if anyone was actually coming. We received different explanations from different people, and there never seemed to be clear communication between the office, management, and the field crews. The estimate created another major source of frustration. The original proposal left us with a different understanding of what work would actually be performed. Once excavation began, additional problems were discovered, and we completely understood that additional work and additional cost might be necessary. That wasn't our concern. Our concern was that the revised estimate was so vague that we still couldn't get a clear explanation of exactly what work we were paying for. When you're approving thousands of dollars in additional work, the scope should be clearly documented and easy to understand. Throughout the project, it felt like we were managing the job instead of the company. My husband and I found ourselves coordinating between the office, management, and the field crew just to understand the schedule, clarify the scope of work, and keep the project moving. That should never be the customer's responsibility. The repeated scheduling issues also caused significant disruption to our daily lives. We repeatedly adjusted our schedules and prepared our home for crews that either arrived hours late or didn't arrive when expected. The uncertainty made an already stressful plumbing project much more frustrating than it needed to be. To the company's credit, management eventually became involved, apologized for the experience, and made a significant adjustment to our final bill after determining that part of the originally proposed work was no longer necessary. We appreciated that because it was the right thing to do. I also want to point out that every employee who came to our home was courteous and respectful. My criticism is not directed at the technicians themselves. It is directed at the company's communication, scheduling, estimating process, and project management. No customer should have to repeatedly call to find out where the crew is, receive conflicting information from different employees, or involve multiple people just to get a project completed. The plumbing work appears to have been completed correctly, and the efforts made at the end of the project to resolve our concerns are the reason this is a three-star review instead of two. Mission Plumbing has good employees. The company simply needs better communication, better scheduling, clearer estimates, and better coordination. If those areas improve, I believe the overall customer experience would improve dramatically.

They diagnosed the issue and recommended replacing the chase cover. Based on their expert recommendation, we paid them $2,625 for the replacement. Unfortunately, during a heavy rainfall in early July, the exact same leak returned. We called the company back, and they sent out the same technician. During this second visit, he performed a water isolation test between the siding and shingles. This test successfully proved the leak was coming from that specific area, which I have documented in the attached photos. Looking at the documentation they provided me, a clear contradiction stands out: *First Report: Listed the flashing condition as "Fair" and recommended the $2,625 chase cover. *Second Report: Listed the exact same flashing as "Poor" and resulted in a new quote of $7,100 to fix the actual source of the leak. Because we paid thousands of dollars based on an initial inspection that failed to resolve the issue, I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Kansas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. I highly recommend potential customers carefully review my attached, redacted inspection reports and photos before hiring this company. I have attached pictures of the reports and quotes on google. UPDATE: OWNER of full service chimney co., Thank you for your response. I have reviewed call recordings, transcripts, and read your email. Let me be perfectly clear: attempting to deflect accountability by implying a communication disconnect between my husband and me does not alter the physical evidence, your own written reports, or the signed contract. You have explicitly confirmed our case in your own email. You stated: "Our repair technician noticed that once the chase cover was removed, he was able to see from the inside of the chimney that the flashing showed signs of allowing water in." If your repair crew saw active flashing leaks and visible wood rot while the chase cover was off, re-assembling the chimney, taking our $2,625.38, and leaving our home to suffer structural water damage for another two months is the absolute definition of a negligent repair. Furthermore, our signed contract explicitly mandated: "While the chase cover is off, we will inspect the areas we can see around the roofline and flashing for water entry." Your team completely failed that contractual obligation. If they performed a proper inspection as promised, work should have been halted the moment the old cover was removed and the rot was visible. Instead, your company chose to finish an ineffective repair, collect our money, and wait until July to present an outrageous $7,100.85 upsell to fix the actual issue. Pointing to boilerplate fine print about a "1% surface area" to excuse an aggregate failure to stop the leak we hired you to fix is completely unacceptable. We will not be bullied or manipulated into paying $7,100.85 for your company's failure to properly diagnose this in April. As requested in my previous email, provide the line-by-line itemized invoice for the April work and the itemized breakdown for the new quote immediately. We are currently acquiring competitive estimates from licensed roofing and siding professionals in Overland Park, and we have fully initiated our complaint documentation for the Kansas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. Dragonfly Mechanical was the first to respond to my request for plumbing services. I had a unique plumbing need and Tim the plumber was creative in helping me to move this project forward. He eliminated two old water heaters and installed a tankless. Tim also installed a half bath in my laundry room. I was very happy that he listened to my ideas and was able to deliver with confidence. It was a much larger project than originally expected but it flowed seamlessly to the end. The cost of the project will offset the benefits from these additions plus I also increased the value of my home. Will and Austin were able to bundle the cost of the two projects together which was gentler on the bottomline. I highly recommend Dragonfly. I can not imagine how painful they are to deal with if they are not expecting a $20,000+ check from you. I needed a complete HVAC replacement so major payday for them. I just needed someone to give me a recommendation and an estate. Set an appointment for noon the next day. On the day of they called told me it was going to be more like 12:30. Then around 12:30 they called and said it would be 1:30. As it got close to 1:30 they called and asked for 2:00. I told them 2:00 was as late as I could wait. At 2:00 they called and told me he was on his way and would be there in 15. Now I am going to be late for my other commitments. At 2:15 the guy calls and tells me he is only NOW leaving and it will be 40 min. To their credit they were VERY polite and, unlike a lot of places, were appropriately embarrassed and apologetic for the mistakes. So I was impressed there, but when you just keep making mistakes and fail to make good on every commitment there is really no option so canceled and called another company.

He determined that we needed to replace the blower motor and capacitor. He had both parts his truck and installed them while he was there. The whole repair only took a couple of hours. He also came by a couple days later to replace a broken piece of duct that he'd noticed while he was fixing the air handler! Eric was very friendly and professional and proud of his work. Obviously nobody wants to have to call an HVAC repair company, but if you do, I highly recommend Dave & Kelly's.

One thing that really stood out was how she walked me through how, why, and when to flush my water heater. She also let me know that they do plumbing too if I'd like help. Honestly, I had no idea this was even something I was supposed to be doing, and she didn't just mention it in passing she made sure to answer all my questions and explain why it mattered. I didn't appreciate the $2,000 in "stuff" that I was offered to buy, but, I haven't seen an HVAC company that doesn't do that. This was on a Friday morning. The problem didn't arise until my wife and I tried to take showers on Saturday. There was no hot water. Went down to check the hot water heather, which is next to the furnace. Instead of the dial being on "hot", it was on "pilot". How it got turned to pilot, I have no proof, but, I would imagine that the tech from Summit, either accidently, or for some reason on purpose, turned it to pilot. I sent a message thru the Summit HVAC website about what had happened. I got a call from the service manager on Monday. He said that there was no way, no possibility whatsoever, that his tech, in any way, shape, or form, could have moved that dial on the water heater. When I said "I guess it's a mystery", he said "sure is". But, he reassured me that Summit was still there to take care of me. I told him "that wasn't going to happen". I said I wanted out of the annual agreement and half my money back (I had paid the full $199). I got less back than I asked for, but, that is another story for perhaps another time. Needless to say, I do not need these people in my home. But, for everyone else, if you want techs that are infallible, and a company that will stand behind the infallibility of those techs, perhaps Summit HVAC is for you.
