Prior to putting cement board, waterproofing, tile, and fixtures up, I would've loved to have a single plumber to ensure everything is up to code. I couldn't seem to get across to this lady that I have a gutted bathroom that NEEDS replaced and I NEED to ensure the plumbing is correct, but even saying I was willing to pay to have all the plumbing in A bathroom replaced wasn't enough to get her to send A plumber to provide an estimate. So much for having one decent plumber in the SV.

A couple months ago we had Sierra Vista Plumbing perform a side sewer video inspection for a home…read morewe were purchasing. They were recommended by our real estate agent. We were charged a very reasonable fee, the two person crew worked quickly and gave a briefing afterwards. They put any worries to rest about the side sewer connections. Fast forward to a month after closing on the home, while moving in I accidentally (stupidly) backed our heavy 5th wheel trailer over the underground water shutoff valve in the front yard. The valve was completely sheared off on our side of the meter. The 3/4" supply line was running wide open. Having no idea if there was another water company shutoff valve, I called 911, Sierra Vista Plumbing (knowing I would need a new shutoff valve once the water flow was stopped) and the water company for help. After calling Sierra Vista Plumbing, Zach arrived first on scene within 15 minutes and knew exactly what to do. He got the water shut off before the meter (with water company permission) and ultimately repaired all the damage within two hours with new / upgraded components leaving the entire valve configuration MUCH better than it was before. The total cost was much lower than I'd anticipated. Zach was understanding, empathetic and explained everything he was doing. I can't thank Sierra Vista Plumbing for coming to my aid so fast. They've earned all of my future plumbing and HVAC business.

Given the fact that we were past customers in good standing, wouldn't you expect a call back the next time you needed a plumber? Strange breed of modern America that doesn't possess the basic courtesy to return a customer's call, even if they are too busy or they don't want to travel to a rural area (yes, where folks also need plumbers). Courtesy and professional conduct is the least a publicly licensed contractor in the service business should guarantee their customers and THEMSELVES. If they have enough work they don't bother with you and this I have found is a pattern with today's tradesman. Very little, if any professional courtesy. So despite unreturned phone calls, a detailed e-mail with pictures and a clear description of the work required, earnest pleas for a response, they were good for nothing. That's what I call a "family" business. Instead of building skills (in a profession that pays top dollar) and encouraging responsibility to our fellow citizens, we give our children smart phones to endlessly waste the precious little time they have on Earth, or simply park them in front of TV while we ourselves surf, surf, surf our little lives away. I sound angry, but honestly I'm just frustrated and disappointed. This was not how I was raised in 1952. Something is going terribly wrong with America and going to the voting booth and voting your conscience is the only hope we have left for a gentler, kinder world, which appears lost.

I live in Bisbee and they do have a $99 surcharge to travel from Sierra Vista to Bisbee. That was okay with me -- cheaper than replacing water saturated wallboard, which is where this was headed. None of the Bisbee companies could respond as quickly.

Then they replaced some stuff at the water intake area. However the tank still leaked when they left, so I called them and they brought in their pro, who found that the tank was defective, cracked. We chose to replace the toilet. They went to get the new one and replaced it this afternoon too! They credited the previous payment to the cost of the new toilet. They made things right! We can highly recommend them!

However after about a week, a hose came loose in the swamp cooler and I got flooded in the house and the ceiling above the swamp cooler was drenched. I called them back about it and they came out and said a hose came loose and put a clamp on it. A few days after that I got flooded in my ceiling again. Supposedly they were to come out again but didn't and now no answering the (cell) phone which is the business line only to go to a message that says the voice mail is full. I left a text but nothing. Once again, another incompetent service provider in Sierra Vista!
