My tankless water heater went into error mode and wouldn't reset. I put out a project request on Yelp.com and Jorge Gomez was the first contractor to respond. His pricing was better than that of other contractors who eventually responded. He came out promptly, diagnosed the issue and offered me options. I opted to replace the worn parts as Mr. Gomez said he could provide a warranty for new parts. He ordered the parts after I electronically approved the quote (very convenient) and came out to make the replacement a couple days later. It turned out that 3 parts were needed, not two - and Mr. Gomez took responsibility for not fully researching my unit. We scheduled a return appointment for no additional trip charge. He arrived for both appointments right on time, was efficient and professional and patiently answered all of my questions. He noticed that my tankless water heater seemed to be struggling with the recirculation pump I'd had installed and he voluntarily did more research and called the manufacturer of my unit for information. He has recommended a modification to my set-up in order to preserve the life of my water heater. The interest and care that Mr. Gomez took in my equipment, budget and comfort were impressive. This company truly cares about their clients. I had a slight leak in the basement and normally wouldn't have called anyone but since I was leaving for vacation I wanted to have it checked out. Someone was at my house within a half hour. He explained everything he was doing and showed me the water on his camera. Very friendly and professional. It ended up just being from my daughter slashing a bunch of water in the bathroom and it going down the A.C. vent. It dried up not too long later. Originally I was charged for the diagnosis which I was bummed about since it ended up being nothing. However, later that evening the owner called after seeing the ticket and talked to me about the call and ended up refunding everything (even though I would have been fine paying a little bit for them coming out to the house) since they never took anything apart and were not there long. Customer service like this is unheard of these days! I will be using this company for any future issues in my house and would highly recommend them to everyone. read more

Our hot water heater (a Bradford White gas unit) ... stopped working the other day. I tried and tried to get the pilot re-light, but it just wouldn't. We called Jorge at Drain Works and he went out of his way on a late Friday afternoon/evening to get out to see us and troubleshoot. He diagnosed the problem, and determined it was the gas valve. He found a local supplier that had one and was back out at our location the very next morning on a Saturday. At a total cost of about 1/4 to 1/3 of what would have been a new water heater, and since the heater does appear to still be in otherwise excellent condition, we decided to go with the gas valve replacement. It's been running great since the fix. I honestly believe that if we had gone anywhere else we would have been looking at multiple days of cold showers, and a much higher bill. I've been searching for a company that would repair a natural gas fireplace in Prince George's County Maryland. Most companies, although advertising that they provide service in the DMV, do not provide service in Prince George's County. One Company who did provide service in the county wanted $250 service fee and $230 maintenance agreement. I finally saw a review of a small company that had actually provided excellent service to someone in Prince George's County (Lanham). I called and spoke with Jorge and was given an appointment date and time. He and his associate arrived at the designated date and time and quickly identified the problem and made the repair, as well as cleaning the interior glass in the fireplace. This company is the real deal! I called them with what I thought was a plumbing issue. Mr. Jorge re-arranged his schedule so that he could come to my house the same day I called. He and Lamond (sp?) arrived at my house exactly when they said, and after reviewing my situation - they were very honest with me and told me that my situation was not, in fact, a plumbing issue.
