I then ordered the bbq burger but swapped the bread for sourdough bread. It was gooodddd! Like a delicious melt. I've been here a few times and Drakes is a pretty good place, but not great. I've had a number of items from their menu and overall the food is pretty good but it's overpriced for the market. I don't mind paying more if it's something special but that's just it, everything is just average here. They do have a great atmosphere going for them and I've never had anything bad here. Their cheddar burger is good as is their chicken tenders. The sushi seems out of place and even more so than the rest of the menu is not worth the price. My sliders were amazing as were my tots. My husband had the beer cheese burger and found the beer cheese to be grainy. Our service was pretty quick. They have taken good safety measures for COVID, the garage doors were open all around with plexiglass dividers between booths and extra space between tables. It was cold and they fired up the heaters that did provide a great deal of heat, but it was so windy that they weren't adequate so we quickly finished our meal and didn't linger. Still nothing, even the manager walked right past us. We kept looking around for someone to help us. Still nothing! So we walked out & left! Clearly angry! As the manager finally noticed & ran after us in the parking lot. He apologized & claimed they were in the middle of a shift change. Which is total bullshit! I will never be back! Very disappointed! Bartender says to server " you can stand there all day but it's not going to make me work any faster on your drinks" She was dead serious. Went on a Saturday afternoon and had an awesome time. They were at capacity when we got there so we were looking at a 30-40 minute wait but in reality it was about 5-10 minutes after we put our name in that we got called for a table! Staff were being really great about spacing folks out and checking temperatures before seating anyone. Drinks were very good! I had a Wild Lager (Wild Turkey and Drake's house lager) and it was really well done, especially if you're like me and you're looking to get nice and toasty smack in the middle of a beautiful day. We started with BLT Tots and they were delicious - nice and crispy and the perfect size for shoveling into your hungry, drunk mouth. My fiancee got a Morning Glory Burger and I got a Patty Melt. Both were awesome and came out in no time at all. Drake's is pretty new to the area but it doesn't seem to me like they're having any of the just-opening speed bumps in service or quality that other places might have. They weren't overly spicy, but had a good dependable flavor mix. None of the toppings were overly impressive: average guacamole, ordinary plastic cheese, and so forth. But the total package was tastier than the sum of its parts. I had a pair of mini juicy Lucy sliders. They were quite good. Good food. Decent service. Poor delivery. I wouldn't rate this a one because while the food we got took long and was incorrectly prepared, it was still good. We were seated at our table at 5:45pm. We did not get our food until 6:45. An hour later. They even brought the wrong sushi rolls at first, but they corrected that and did not charge us for the wrong rolls. Now you think, "well it was busy, that's why it took so long!" You'd be wrong. The place was not busy at all. Hardly anyone at the tables. And to boot, a couple who arrived 30min after us got their food before ours. And as for the incorrectly prepared part, my wife and I ordered our steaks and burgers medium rare. They came well done. We ate it though because it was still tasty. The server was not at fault for this poor experience tonight. She took time to check in with us often and updated us on when the food would be out to make things right. However, the cooks and kitchen manager failed. This is just one step above your typical family restaurant/sports bar restaurant. The place was packed when we got there so we opted to sit at the bar. It's a big enough bar that they should have had 2 bartender's working, but instead they only had one, which was a huge negative. We weren't there to drink the night away by any means, we just wanted some food and to be on our way. The ample staff throughout the place bottlenecked at the bar where speed was not on display. So many people moving through, grabbing items, using the POC, grabbing drinks, but nobody stayed at all. Instead we had one aimlessly slow bartender who was either new or had no sense of urgency wandering around the bar. When we finally did order the food came out promptly and it was actually good. The party melt and a morning glory burger were both really good (the food was the only reason that the score wasn't lower). But after our meal, the wait to get a check and pay was painful. What should have been a 2 minutes interaction was a 10 minute wait. I want to like this place and the food alone is enough to being me back, at least one more time, but unless last night was as fluke, I can't see it being a regular haunt. read more

Last year was the first time I attempted to try drake's. Me and my dad got sat fairly fast at a table but after waiting 45min and asked multiples times where are server and nothing we had enough and left. Today I decided to try again eating here and we got sat immediately but again waited well over 25min for someone to come up to us. A girl approached us saying she'll be with us but took care of all the others tables around us and never came back. A server Shaun ended up taking over and took care of us since he noticed we we were sitting awhile with nobody helping us. I give a lot of grace since I'm in the restaurant industry and severing for multiples years but like come on... Shaun was absolutely amazing. I have been here many times since they opened. After today I will be hard pressed to return. We both had burgers and fries, they were nothing exciting about them. The fries were almost cold. The biggest issue that we saw is 5/6 servers plus the cook standing around talking and on their phones. I did speak to someone about it and she apologized but did nothing to correct it. Only ordered take out on two separate occasions, both times were excellent. The sushi is pretty wang dang good. Haven't tried anything else as of now. Prices are a little bit high, but what isn't during this time. Will most definitely be going back and ordering more sushi...eventually I will branch out and try some other stuff, but their sushi has been consistently delicious and I'm a creature of habit. read more
