What can I say, this place is everything we expected and more. My wife and I came here after a day on the river on the kayak. When we got there we weren't sure if we had to order inside first then sit outside. We sat outside and shortly after one of the bartenders came and greeted us with menus. We ordered the shrimp tacos and steak tacos. These were amazing! Another guy came out and asked if we wanted more beer, he recommended one to my wife and she loved it. Beer list is 5 stars. I'm extraordinarily impressed. Had 3 appetizers. Took about 35 mins, which is the only reason we're not seeing 5 stars on this review, considering there were about 3 groups of 3, including us. We had "The Dip" Artichokes/cheese/etc, falafel, hummus/chips, Chipotle chicken quesadilla. All were excellent. Only thing that concerns me is if they were actually busy. Not the place I'd expect to have amazing tacos, but these guys crush it! Chips are crispy and delicious, seems like they fry them (or re-fry them) in house. Guacamole is good, salsa is just ok. But back to the tacos - they're amazing. $14 sounds like a high price, but they're big enough to split. Perfect after a long hike to the Beacon Fire Tower. Beer selection is great and the service tops it off. Seems like the employees are really into the beer and that helps a lot when you're not sure what to choose when faced with such a large menu. Well...we didn't have any unpleasant experience with our bartender so I won't concur with other yelpers here. Troy (if I remember his name right) was helpful, engaging, and we enjoyed our time with an excellent beer from Non Sequitur. He was also helpful in humorously deflecting the insistent & loud conversational detours imposed on us by a kind of kooky local who ended up with us once more, on the 2nd stop of our crawl through Beacon. This is my second visit to Draught and I'm again blown away by the amount of quality beers on tap! There's such a great mix of styles that you can find something for everyone. A few tables at the entrance and a long bar with around 16 seats. The epitome of a no frills bars that's dedicated to just providing good top of the line beers. Easily one of the best beer bars I've been to!! If you're into beer, this is the place to go - ranks up there with Torst in Brooklyn. Even if you're not super knowledgeable about beer, still come here. The staff are really friendly and love talking about beer and dropping some knowledge on you. This narrow bar was apparently an alley that was covered over - the space is long and narrow with exposed brick walls. The focal point is all of the taps and a big crazy gadget that manages the carbonation levels of each keg. I can't speak to the food because I did not try any, but their beer selection is A+. I think what impressed me most about Draught Industries was the staff. We talked to one guy for a while who was awesome - at 9pm he told us we needed to leave the bar and run over to try Hudson Valley Brewery before it closed at 10pm. I thought it was so great that they would actually encourage us to leave and try another place in the name of excellent beer - and also it was a great recommendation, I'm so glad we got to try that brewery! Disclaimer: I'm not a huge beer person. That is, "I'm not a person who drinks a lot of beer." (Not "I'm a beer person who is small in size.") One more English lesson: this place is pronounced "draft". (If you thought it was pretty dumb of me to not know that already, please reread disclaimer above.) But I gotta say, I really liked Draught Industries! For the quality of food and beer + the price, I'd say in comparison to Beacon's other spots, it's worth the money. (Well, I guess I should explain that I shared the flight. Again, the disclaimer.) A flight of 4 beers for $10 and a great cheddar brat with a side of amazing herb fries for $9, it really is a great place to come chill with friends for a lighter, but still delicious meal. My friends ordered the hot dogs ($4! Nice!) and really enjoyed them as well. This is the kind of bar that I wish was a quick stroll down the block from my house. Comfortable atmosphere, good vibe, not a dive, but also not so trendy that it tries too hard to be something it's not. Great selection of brews from throughout NY state (and some from not so close) that rotate periodically. The signage on the wall is colored in with chalk and decorated. Very visible and clear. Food menu is limited but some decent options. I opted to just have a baked pretzel with IPA infused cheese sauce to snack on while drinking. Pretzels and beer can't fail, great combo. The cheese sauce was awesome too. Definitely a place I'd like to frequent. Recommend to anyone coming up for a day/evening in Beacon or I'm search of a good place to grab a beer while out. read more

Found this amazingly magical kingdom of craft beers after a relatively rough hike with the kids at mt beacon - it was just what the doctor ordered! Great wings, even better fries, a solid crab cake Po boy and a Hill farmstead difference and repetition. Came here for a late drink on a random Tuesday. It was quiet and dark and had a lot of good beer. What more would you want? I'd imagine that on a weekend it might get a little packed. I liked that they have a long long table, so even if you can't sit at the bar, you can sit at this long high-top table that almost feels like a bar. Good for a group, if there are chairs available. Went with my wife on NYE before dinner, was a very chill vibe. 20 beers on tap with good variety, as well as a few craft bottles. Apparently it just changed ownership, and now has food (though we didn't have any). The new owners were bartending - they were very knowledgeable about beer and friendly. I eventually ordered a flight of 4, but the bartender also gave me tasters of a few others during our conversation. We especially liked the music, which was basically my high school playlist of the greatest alternative hits from the 90's and 00's. So initially I had come here in the past when it was owned by a different person. Than it closed and I was bummed out. Than after some time it re opened, I was super excited because most of Beacon opens late or is closed during the day time. I ventured in and they had food?!?!? A huge perk. I was nervous but I ordered the short rib panini. The short rib itself was like butter super tender and you could cut through it with a spoon. Warm and delicious. Than I came in today and they had my favorite tomato basil. So so so good I would have licked the bowl if I could. Looove this place!!! 4-hipstars! We ordered just small plates to share: Moroccan meat balls, ceviche, and sweet chili wings and it was delicious. The craft beer selection was better than most places; clean lines and fresh tasting. There is an extravagant looking beer dispersion panel right at the bar which looks impressive. Simple and chic, will definitely be adding this place to our routine stops. One minor deterrent, there some less than nice looking locals loitering near the entrance but the Owner (Bobby)seems to keeping that at bay. The hours on Sunday are listed until 10 p.m. We came here about 5-10 minutes before 9 and indeed they were open but was only driven a drink menu. When I asked about food I was informed the kitchen was closed. I can't find anything on their website about having kitchen hours end earlier. We were at another place in town before where they were out of the first thing I wanted to order and then were also of my next choice so I had just had it and found Draught online. So then upon arriving there well before closing hours I felt rather cockblocked, so to speak, for lack of food. Not being able to have dinner at Draught we left and went to Quinn's, which is a ramen place in town for those of you who may not know. There, they were out of the standard ramen broth. Yes, the ramen place was out of ramen broth, I shit you not. You could get the fish broth, the veggie broth, just not the fucking normal broth which is substantially richer. I mean really, what the hell is that. So Draught just played a particularly annoying role in an evening where I was denied at every turn. I know what you're thinking, I'm ridiculous. Well I am ridiculous, and so are you. The whole goddamn world is ridiculous with people's ridiculous "first world" problems like this, but I guess given our hypocrisy one may as well say it shouldn't be too hard to post separate kitchen hours on your website so some horrible privileged person like myself, or perhaps even a substantially less privileged person for that matter, won't make the decision to leave their first destination, having been denied both a Korean pork burger and soft shell crap sandwich, only to arrive at your joint only to be thwarted yet again, which then in turn results in being thwarted a third time with a ramen place which is out of ramen traditional pork broth. God that ramen thing is so ridiculous I can't get over it really. Well at the end of the day I shouldn't complain. We had a lovely vacation in Vermont and Quebec. I hiked up a fairly sizeable mountain and had an extraordinary and decadent meal in Montreal. Foie gras, cheese, tarts, maple syrup, blood sausage. I have a pretty easy life too. So do a lot of other people who write Yelp reviews. Let's all take the time now to consider our place in relation to each other and to humanity, and to examine why we write reviews of things at all, and to examine our own habits and attitudes towards things. Well now I'm getting off on one of my little tangents here, aren't I. Nonwithstanding all that, Sunday night in Beacon was just a night of horrible ironies when it came to finding dinner fairly late at night (but not after Draught's closing time). The ramen at Quinn's was actually pretty good outside of the fact that I had to get it with the fucking fish broth which just isn't nearly as tasty as the real thing. My friend and I came here after a solid recommendation from someone we know. We'd checked out the menu ahead of time and were super excited about some of the creative options provided. When we arrived around 7, we ordered beers (excellent selection!) and food: duck enmoladas and short rib enchiladas. At around the half hour mark we started to get curious about where our food was, especially since we hadn't ordered a starter. The bar tenders assured us that we'd have our food shortly. Fast forward another 30 minutes our food arrived and, to our disappointment, barely reached room temperature - especially because the flavor was so amazing!! 3.5 stars.. First of all, Draught Industries is currently miscategorized on Yelp as a brewery which it is not, that should be fixed soon though. Draught Industries is a specialty bar for beer snobs so if that's your scene this is your bar. They have 20 beers on tap from craft breweries around the world. Flights of 4 are $12 and pints are rather pricey where most are $9 (the prices ranged from $5-10 but there was only one option at $5). The beers are constantly changing so it's not really worth mentioning any of the specific beers I tried, they do have a good variety of options available though. I don't believe they had any food here other than free popcorn. The place is pretty small without much going on as it's just a long space comprising of an ultra long bar with stools. I think Main street in Beacon is beautiful and I can appreciate a beer lovers bar but Draught was just too expensive without enough going for it to warrant a return trip anytime soon. read more

We didn't try the food, and while the menu had just a handful of items, we were told it would be soon expanding.
