Unmatched Service and Flexibility: A Truly Exceptional Wedding Experience! This company is absolutely fantastic--professional, efficient, and truly outstanding! They exceeded all of our expectations in every way. The coordination was seamless, and they responded to inquiries almost instantaneously. We initially started working with a company called Weddings of Hawaii, but after a few months, we realized they didn't offer the flexibility we needed. We found ourselves trying to fit our vision into their rigid plans, all while their services were significantly more expensive. At one point, it felt like they were more focused on their own needs than ours. Simple requests were met with resistance, and we felt like our vow renewal wasn't going to reflect us. We even opted to forfeit our down payment and pay the 3.5% refund penalty just to walk away and stop working with Weddings of Hawaii. Even before they'd done anything for us, they were already asking for a gratuity pledge, listing all nine coordinators who were supposedly "assisting" us--an experience that left us frustrated and disillusioned. Then we found Just Married Hawaii / Dream Hi Weddings / I Want to Marry You Wedding, and what a difference! From the start, they were incredibly accommodating and flexible. While they have a set package structure, they truly care about personalizing the experience. For example, we wanted our two daughters to play and sing a song on their ukuleles while the third danced the hula after our vows--a special moment for our family. The other company insisted this could only happen during the procession or recession. But Just Married Hawaii said, "It's your day, and you can do whatever you want." That kind of flexibility and understanding really stood out to us. What we also loved about them was their transparency. Weddings of Hawaii had charged us hundreds for décor without mentioning that the location we chose didn't allow certain items, like flower petal showers. Just Married Hawaii, on the other hand, informed us right away that the city had restrictions on decorations at our chosen site. Why didn't the other company disclose this upfront, especially when they were so eager to charge us? The quality of their services was top-notch. The florals were beautiful and much more affordable than what we had been quoted elsewhere. The limo service was punctual, and our officiant, Rev. Ellsworth Simeona, was both professional and warm. The videographer and photographer captured every moment perfectly, allowing us to relive the day in the most beautiful way. In short, this company is absolutely phenomenal. I contacted I Want To Marry You weddings (Dream Hi) for a vow renewal in Oahu. Their website was comprehensive and they were were responsive to my inquiries. I did a lot of comparison shopping between different corporations that perform weddings/vow renewals in Oahu and this seemed to check all the things I was looking for. It is always nerve-wracking to depend on people you don't know, but we couldn't have been more happy with how everything turned out. We just cannot say enough wonderful things about the people at I Want To Marry You weddings. First, I had booked hair and makeup through them. The stylist, Stephanie, met me right on time at my hotel. She was so sweet and she made me look gorgeous! She is so talented. For the ceremony, we had Rev. Ellsworth. He was funny, genuine and caring. He did a wonderful job with our service. Darren was our ukulele player/singer. He was awesome! Sang and played all of our requested songs. Loved it. Katrina was our wedding coordinator and proved to be indispensable. It rained during our ceremony and pictures and she was prepared with umbrellas (nice ones!) and wrangled all of our stuff. I think she sourced our lei as well and they were gorgeous and very fresh. Kristine was our photographer and she did such an amazing job in a difficult situation. Litigious threatening owner that appears to have transparent pricing. It's not. Fees and regulations posted nowhere. My new people were shown, they said she's notorious locally. I told her on the phone how impressed I was with clear, simple, affordable pricing, it's not. Rule of thumb, as a business owner my entire life, refund unhappy customers. Quickly. No she was yucky, and after really digging in.... The photography is bad (I've had over 250+ photo shoots as a brand influencer and her lack of customer service is appalling. I decided to let her HAVE my 287 deposit she didn't want to refund so I can warn others. There are TONS of great, warm, and loving talented people in the area that will bring a better energy to your union. We did everything online and received emails and updates leading up to the big day. Our Reverend called us the day before to check in and meet us right on time at our beach location. My husband and I wanted an intimate low-budget beachside wedding, specifically in Waikiki, which connects me sentimentally to my happiest family memories. Duke Kahanamoku Beach adjacent to the Hilton Hawaiian Village was the perfect locale. The beach is far enough from sunbathers to eliminate interference. It was also easy to get guests to the venue without vehicles. I can honestly say if you want a Waikiki Beach wedding, this is the only way to go. Much fancier wedding parties used the same spot for their ceremonies throughout my trip. Some were clearly topping a 40k budget in wardrobe alone. However, I am almost certain their planners were not as personable, accessible, entertaining, spiritual and overall wonderful as ours. Rev. Watters and his wife Jade are super cool. The Rev. took time to bond with us on a personal level in an awesome and non-awkward manner, which is saying something, considering our introverted nature. He did an exceptional job blending Christian beliefs, genuine aloha spirit, humor, love, entertainment and pure joy into our ceremony. My expectations were exceeded beyond imagination. We picked a package including Rev. Watters officiating a Christian ceremony as well as giving a Hawaiian blessing (which was *amazing). I Want to Marry You Weddings also procured the venue, filed our license, picked out and brought gorgeous flowers leis including a lei for my head which was perfect since I didn't want a handheld bouquet and I didn't have a veil. The conch blowing was perfect for our sunset ceremony. Yes, we were convinced to dance just a little to Rev. Watters playing the ukulele and we have the pictures to prove it. Jade coordinated everything and also took our pictures. What defies description is how perfectly "us" this ceremony ended up being. Their laid back personalities really helped me relax. They both seemed like very nice people. However when it came down to money the original quote we got was not accurate. They not only betrayed their word but added on over $200 in extra fees.
