Despite the mixed reviews on here, I have to say I had a positive experience my first time here and my first time ever receiving a pedicure. Could the front desk reception be friendlier? Yes, absolutely. But can you find a lovelier aesthetician than Maria? Absolutely not. Parking for Dream is located in a lot behind the house, which you can access by pulling into the lot for Crate & Barrel next door. Entry into Dream is located in the rear of the house. The interior is sterile, as in white kind of sterile. While accent decor is simple and modern, there's not much color contrast (and to be perfectly honest, and I hate to say this, it makes me feel like I'm visiting a doctor's office). But the place is immaculate and the decor is not is what is under review. The services are. So here's where I will recount my experience. I've already mentioned this was my very first pedicure and Maria made it such an enjoyable experience. She is very good at what she does and her care for her clients is evident. I purchased the "dream feet" experience which includes an exfoliating scrub, hydrating masks, and a foot, ankle and calf massage which can only be described with one word: heaven. Maria was part of what made the experience so good. To start, she offered me tea or coffee and I enjoyed a nice cup of Earl Grey while I sat in the comfy chair receiving a remote-controlled back massage the whole time Maria worked her magic on my tired, calloused feet. She was very kind and empathetic, easy to talk to, professional, explained how all instruments are sterilized, and always checked in to see if the water was too hot or too cold, if the pressure was too hard, if the masks were too warm, etc. I was sad when my dream feet session came to a close. That's how good my feet looked (no more callouses!) and how soft and invigorated they felt by the end ... and I don't usually like people touching my feet! And how about being able to sit in a comfortable lounge waiting for your nail polish (I picked a nice fire engine red) to dry and being offered a mimosa or cucumber-infused water? No rushing me out the door. I really was impressed by that and truly grateful that more than my feet received pampering. I will definitely be returning and making this a monthly habit. read more

My face felt so hydrated and she did a great job cleaning my pores after using sun block for months over the winter in Florida. I don't know how to describe my experience at Dream Spa. The Mama Massage was great, Alyce was wonderful at the massage. But the ambiance was all off. First, they asked me two different times to come earlier than my scheduled appointment. ? Second, when you walk in, pop music is playing. Weird for a spa, to me at least. I'm used to gentler music. The ambiance upstairs was lovely, candles and gentle music. Very nice. But downstairs, is weird. When waiting for Alyce, I overheard the staff talking loudly about betting on sports....not something you hear a lot of at a spa. I was told to sit in the waiting room after my massage and drink my water. In there was a card with add on services to look at. I was 100% going to add on a service - a mini facial. But Alyce put on her bag and left. The receptionist then went into a private room and I was still sitting in the waiting room. I wanted them to ask me about adding on a service. I decided he wasn't coming back, so I went to change. And after he asked me to tip with Venmo. I said no and gave cash. Kinda weird again. They must have been in a hurry to leave for the day because I didn't see a single other person in there while I was there. They were probably waiting for me to leave to go home. Strange. read more

Unfortunately I need to adjust my review of Dream Spa down to 2 stars. I used the texting option to book massages for a friend and me for my birthday. I booked them 2 months before the appointment day to ensure we could have massages at the same time. I called today to confirm the massages as I didn't receive a confirmation call. When I spoke to someone at the front desk, I was told the person who responded to my text got busy and didn't write the appointments down :( I promised my out of town guest a bougie afternoon to celebrate my birthday, but guess not. I understand these are difficult times for businesses and many are short staffed, however this was due to a careless mistake. read more

My massage (90 minute Swedish massage) was definitely mediocre. Was asked to come later than appointment but was not able to so did go at scheduled time. Some odd things including no questions from the therapist about the level of pressure, comfort, etc & first getting had a (chilly) overly wet washcloth put on my back, that was odd. When turning on my stomach there was no support adjusted/under the knees which is pretty standard. An odd scalp "massage" was really just quick itching/rubbing that I couldn't quite figure out. Overall any massage is welcomed in my book and this was relaxing but not worth the price. What a disappointment that I booked my appointment using a gift certificate- yes it was from their old location and pre-pandemic- but the person accepted it, took the certificate number and found it in her system. I won a $250 gift certificate at Temple Israel's Chanukah party in Dec 2016 at Dream Spa. NO expiration date and could be used at Greenwich or Westport location. It was donated to my Temple by the Greenwich location. I can't remember the date maybe in 2018, I finally used part of it maybe a year and a half later. I had a $115 balance. I put it away in my wallet and forgot about it. I was diagnosed with lung cancer October 2019. I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. I had chemo first( never lost my hair and robotic surgery on 3/19/20. .. the beginning of the Pandemic. I beat lung cancer! I never left my apartment for 5 months. I called Dream Spa 2 weeks ago to book something. The gentleman agreed there was nothing on the card of an expiration date. He called the owner.,, who sounded mean and sarcastic. She said because Greenwich closed a year ago,, while I was going through my treatments, she won't let me use it. Shame on Dream Spa! I find this totally unacceptable and to be honest, not a kind thing to do to me after all I have been through. I know it was only for $115, but being a senior, every bit counts. She has a special touch and is incredibly knowledgeable about what was best for my individual needs. My skin feels smooth and tighter! I can't begin to say enough great things about Ron and the team at Dream Spa in Westport. Every several months I commute in from Brooklyn to visit Ron and am always excited to see what he does next. Not only does he listen, but advises me on what would be best, which is essential from a colorist. The constant compliments on my hair are beyond flattering and just reflect on Ron's talent. I should say that I find some of these reviews confusing given that I've been here on a regular basis for the past five years. I've gotten massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures and haven't been disappointed. Before I get onto it- a few points of interest: 1) This is for Dream Spa WESTPORT, not Greenwich. If you have a bad review for Greenwich, maybe you should leave it on their page instead since the staff is completely different. 2) Out of the 30 filtered reviews, 29 of them are positive. I've had a lot of issues with legit reviews I've written for businesses of my own good will that have been filtered. So Yelp should probably figure some of its shit out. All of the massages, facials, and waxing I've had here is great. Pam waxes my eyebrows and I'm always in and out in 5mins with great results. I also get facials on a quarterly basis, and they have always been great. I got a pedicure recently, and it came out great and lasted for a really long time, so I'll be booking another soon. This spa also has very nice ambiance and I like that the massages and facials are upstairs where it is very quiet and relaxing. Someone obviously thought of that detail, so I appreciate it. They also offer "mini" add-ons, which is a cost effective and time effective way to get just a little something extra without spending another hour or another $100. A few reviews mentioned poor customer service, which I've never received. Even if I call them last minute, they try their best to accommodate me. So I can't say I've had any complaints on that end. The prices here aren't exactly cheap, I think the manicures and pedicures are a bit overpriced- but the massages and facials are competitively priced. I'd also appreciate it if they offered their robes in larger sizes instead of just one size. I like my robe to be a little bit roomy, so that would make me a little more comfortable. But besides that I really don't have complaints. Honestly, I probably would have given them 5 stars except for the fact that Yelp seems to go nuts filtering 5 star reviews. I also wasn't intending on writing this review today, but I was just about to look up the phone number and saw the poor rating which shocked me. Had a Swedish massage here. Wasn't what I expected and really the only take away for me was that I smelled like eucalyptus for the next 24 hours. Probably a good place for someone who has the whole day to sit around and be drunk off oils or someone who gets massages every week. I personally prefer massages that move tissue around and get me jazzed for the day. I completely forgot I even had a massage a couple hours later, except of course that I still smelled the oil. People were all very nice and soft spoken as you'd expect from a place called Dream. Reminded me of a Burke Williams minus the real estate and bridal parties. read more

I can only comment on waxing - Pam is literally the best waxer ever, and I've been through my fair share. She makes you feel comfortable and is really good at what she does. My friend suggested I try her place because it is $30 less than Dream Spa, but I keep going back because I'd really rather pay the extra money for Pam! I was reading other reviews and have to agree that customer service is iffy - I do love the ladies at the front desk, very sweet with good intentions, but they do seem to get confused by the computers easily. Also, one receptionist called me 30 minutes before an appt to let me know they were running late and asked if I could come 30 minutes later than scheduled which was appreciated. However, 15 minutes past my originally scheduled time the other receptionist called and informed me I would have to reschedule since I was more than 15 minutes late and they were busy. I told her I was asked to come 30 minutes late and she laughed and said she didn't realize. So I also second the scheduling issues at the spa. I am a new mother to a three month old. Any parent can understand that hiring a sitter and making arrangements to have a few hours to yourself is not easy. I was given a gift certificate to Dream and so made made an apt. with Allie and confirmed with our sitter that she would be able to come over and watch our son for a few hours while I ran a few errands and enjoyed a massage. My apt. was for Friday at 10:15, I received a call at 8:58 stating that the massage therapist could not make it because her kids school was cancelled.Allie offered me a 9:00AM on a Saturday that was all she offered and a half rude apology. This is not how you do business. If you think that a nonchalant apology is how you make up for cancelling on a NEW client an hour before she is supposed to come in and has arranged for child care you are sadly mistaken. There should have been a back up and if that is not available definitely offer your client something more than a rude apology. I will NEVER be going to Dream in Westport or referring anyone. On a positive note I did call Dream in Greenwich and they were more than happy to accommodate me. Although their times did not work I will be going to that location in the future to use my gift certificate, the gentlemen I spoke to was shocked that my apt. was cancelled and was willing to bend over backwards to make something happen for me. I found Dream Spa thanks to a promotion on livingsocial. What a find! I had a full set of French gel nails put on yesterday by Amelia--my hands look fantastic! I was mesmerized watching her work, she could be a diamond cutter with that much focus and precision ;-) The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. The decor and atmosphere are lovely and relaxing, every detail shows thought and care right down to the pre-warmed hand towels and the perfectly suspended lemon slices in the water pitcher in the waiting area. I have been a frequent customer of Dream in Westport for approximately 5 years. I book a service approximately every 4-8 weeks. While I have no complaints about the actual services - wonderful facials, massages, and mani/pedis, I do have a complaint about their customer service and it's such a frustration that I hesitate if I will be continuing to go back. (i) The front desk staff and phone operators have a challenging time operating the computers and scheduling software. They also seem to be very confused about the newly implemented "Dream Deal" and how to sell or cash in giftcards. (ii) Twice in the past year, I have had appointments set over the phone that have gotten incorrectly booked in the system. This has left me showing up for an appointment that doesn't exist. Most recently I had a facial appointment booked incorrectly and when showing up to the appointment the front desk staff seemed to insinuate that somehow I had given the phone attended the wrong time. This is completely unacceptable customer service! I was not offered another appointment or a complimentary service. I was simply told that they were sorry there was nothing available. Complained about a noise issue during a massage (which was otherwise very good) and was told pretty much there was nothing to do about it. I followed up with an email to the owner, who said she would "get back to me" and then never did. No apology, no follow through, no offer to make up for the experience or even any indication of an intention to try to prevent noise issues in the future (which is really not so hard to do with simple white noise machines). For what DREAM charges for their services, they need to provide a much better in-person experience as well as customer service. The atmosphere there is subpar and not at all worth the cost, which is significantly higher than other spas or massage places. Won't be back. read more

I love this salon. Worth every dime. I use a colorist named Ron. My hair takes 5 years off my age when he's through. It looks natural and beautiful and I feel like I look great. My daughter has nearly waist length hair he colors. He refuses to do anything that will seriously damage her hair. The color lasts and lasts and looks totally natural. She is a natural golden blond, she's gone red, deep mahogany, and now she is so dark brown it's almost black, but it looks amazing, shiny and healthy. Spring shampoos and is excellent and knowledgeable. Love her too. Nik cut my hair so well it looked amazing 10 weeks later. The ladies at the desk are so nice and remember me.
