Dreamcote is a fantastic little corner wine tasting room with a great atmosphere and some real tasty/funky wines. Nicole is a gem -- very knowledgeable and always has a smile on her face. Every time I visit the valley this is my first stop without fail. Oh, and there's a prickly pear cider that is truly delightful. Check 'em out!

The friendliest little winery! They were so kind and accommodating to us and our 6 month oldWe loved the wine and grabbed a few bottles. The owner was so great and we loved hearing her story while she poured our wine. Nicole also was our server and she was amazing and did a great job explaining what events they had coming up that we just had to join as a member! We cannot wait for many more trips to Dreamcôte !

Free popcorn but we didn't end up tasting any since we just came from lunch The wine was mediocre unfortunately. I picked this place because it had some sweet wine/sparkling wine in its tasting but they didn't turn out to be very good unfortunately. It was too floral for me, made me feel like I had leftover perfume in my mouth. Plus the place was smaller and didn't have a lot of seats. Would skip if I ever came back to Los Olivos.

Super friendly staff. Fun little spot. The wine was ok. Reasonable tasting price and wine prices. Had a little gift shop i there too. A lot people were coming in for the popcorn and they only offered stale popcorn...due to th holidays??? Not sure why they didn't make the effort since it seemed like people were attracted to this.

Great personable service and small tasting room but it seems like they do a lot of fun events for members. We came here for just a tasting. They offered us free popcorn when we sat. Martin was great at welcoming us. Heard they're having a boat party for their wine club members and that sounds like an epic time!

came by at the end of our day. celebrating our 5 year anniversary. a little bit tipsy, but, wanted try out their hard ciders for a change of pace. tasting room is on the smaller and, but, service was very good. only tried one cider and mama wasn't a fan. i liked it more than the wine though. nothing exceptional, but, trying out the cider was good way to mix it up.

Guess the wine and sample some popcorn...

This is a cute wine shop located off the main street in Los Olivos. I like that they are trying to do things a little differently than the other wine shops around. They offered popcorn to taste and had cider available for tastings as well. A nice change up. We sampled a variety of wines, but the one that stuck out the most with me was their bubbly. They actually drizzled a little balsamic vinegar in with the wine and the combination was amazingly tasty. Over all, friendly service and tasty wine, worth stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area.

I had a great time here yesterday! This place is very innovative and quite different than any other place I have tried. The hard cider was very interesting and delicious in its own right. It was explained as not being a wine or beer and has a very small alcohol content. The Riesling had a pop cap, not a cork or screw top. This wine had a sparkle which is something that would be wonderful on a hot summer day. Give this place a try if you are in the area and want a different outlook on Santa Barbara wine it will not disappoint.

Five stars all around. Alan (sp?) was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable about the process & varietals. He really treated us right in addition to the stellar value you receive for the price! Fantastic wines & a great experience. Don't miss this spot

Marissa was amazing! We had the best banter and wine at her tasting. We had to leave with a bottle of the merlot. This was the hands down best tasting experience out of all the tastings we had in the area. Make sure to add this stop to your list. PS they do spectacular Girl Scout cookie wine pairings!

This was my favorite wine tasting room in Los Olivos for two reasons. First, I absolutely loved the variety of wine that was available (it was a bit more on the adventurous side). I ended up buying a bottle of Riesling and two bottles of sparkling pét nat! The sparkling wine was incredible, and chock full of alcohol (14%). I also tried a rosé cider which is sold in growlers. I heard that the company changes up their tasting menu with all sorts of experimental wine, and I love the concept of it. The second reason that I love this place is the affordable retail offerings. There were crystals, candles, home goods, decor, kitchen items, necklaces, earrings, cards, and accessories. These items were very carefully curated to appeal to a certain demographic (e.g. me). I bought two necklaces for less than $30 each! I will definitely come back here when I return to Los Olivos.

It was the first of five tastings we did during our weekend in town, and the wines were, admittedly, the least impressive. They went down easy, though, and we had a pleasant visit. We checked into our hotel on Friday around 5:30 and quickly realized that all the wineries on our list were closed. We asked the receptionist where we might be able to do a tasting, and she said Carhartt was our best bet. It was quite open when we walked in, almost intimidatingly so, the live music loud as we rounded the sidewalk outside the enclosed patio. Jack welcomed us into the tasting room and suggested we do a vibe check on the patio before deciding where to sit. We peeked outside and it seemed fun in a way we weren't looking for, a bit of a party atmosphere with a live band and a lot of people. We took our seats in the quieter tasting room, where we were able to enjoy the music from a distance while we drank some wine. We both did the house tasting, which came with five pours of Carhartt wines: the 2024 Top Branch, the 2022 Sin Nada, the 2022 Sangiovese, the 2022 Rebel Roan, and the 2020 Northerly. Jack also gave us a taste of the 2021 Graciano. They were all nice wines, but we particularly liked the Sin Nada, the Sangiovese, and the Graciano, and took home two bottles of each, getting one $25 tasting fee waived with each purchase of three bottles. Jack was a great host, and he told us all about the wines and winery as we went along. (He pre-empted our first question, saying that yes, they were the same Carhartts as the Carhartt clothing label, but not the same company. I guess just the classic generational wealth to winemaking pipeline.) It was a helpful introduction to both the Carhartt wines and Los Olivos, and Jack was good company. I said Carhartt was the least impressive of the wineries we visited, but it's also worth noting that it had the lowest price point. Carhartt isn't gunning for Robert Parker ratings. The wines are accessible and tasty, and I have a feeling we'll go through our bottles very fast.

They offer a complimentary olive oil tasting, allowing you to truly appreciate the depth and character of each variety. The fresh bread served alongside the tasting is crafted from scratch in nearby Los Alamos at Bob's Well Bread Bakery, and it is delicious. A few of my personal favorites were the Santa Ynez, Garlic, and Habanero olive oils. The Garlic was so outstanding that I immediately purchased a bottle to take home. It is incredibly versatile. The setting itself is just as memorable as the tasting. There is ample charming outdoor seating beside a small creek, and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. The vibes are truly immaculate. Inside, the shop is beautifully styled and filled with thoughtfully selected gifts and, of course, an impressive array of olive oils available for purchase. Hayley (sorry if it's spelled wrong) was especially warm and helpful, making the visit feel welcoming. They also offer WiFi, which allowed us to linger a bit longer and get some work done. It is rare to find a place that combines quality, hospitality, and atmosphere so seamlessly.

We were in Los Olivos this past weekend and visited Stolpman on Saturday for a leisurely afternoon…read moretasting. I booked our spot in advance and would recommend you do the same. The place is casual and not tiny, but it definitely fills up. I don't think they were taking walk-ins while we were there. The tasting room--or tasting patio, I suppose--was really pleasant, a breezy outdoor space in front of a charming brick-red house with a strong Los Olivos aesthetic. My only complaint is that the bathroom was a porta-potty, though it was the nice kind, with running water. We got our own table and a friendly, knowledgeable young server brought us our wines and explained what we were drinking. He was busy, so this was one of the less in-depth tastings we did on this trip, but the experience was easy and enjoyable. There were two tastings on offer, the classic estate flight and the "fresh and esoteric." Since this was our first visit, we both went with the estate, and it was a great introduction to Stolpman's wines. We tried the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, the 2024 Chenin Blanc, the 2024 La Cuadrilla, the 2023 Sangiovese, and the 2024 Angeli, the label's flagship Syrah. They were all excellent and very well priced--the Cuadrilla goes for $26. It's also a delicious wine with a cool provenance, a red blend made by Stolpman's vineyard workers on a designated block, in what looks to be a successful profit sharing project. The tasting fee was $25, waived with a three-bottle purchase. We snapped up three each of the Sauvignon Blanc and the Sangiovese, which cost $24 and $36 a bottle. Tremendous value for such outstanding wines. I have a feeling we'll go through these quickly, and may be tempted to join the wine club if we do. Either way, though, I hope to go back to Stolpman. I'm definitely curious about that second tasting.

I'm a huge wine nerd, so I tend to ask a lot of questions, usually because I'm genuinely excited about what's in the glass. Kevin was pouring during our visit and the depth of his knowledge absolutely blew me away. No matter how technical my questions got, he seemed to have an answer. Most people probably wouldn't care about that level of detail, but for me it made the experience that much better. It was a pretty slow day when we visited, so we were able to have a really personal tasting experience, which is always my favorite. If the room had been packed, I'm sure the interaction would have been different, but that's not a knock on them at all. We just got lucky with the timing. The tasting room itself isn't doing anything wildly unique, but honestly, who cares when the wines are this good? The focus here is clearly on what's in the glass, and Dragonette continues to make some of my favorite wines in Santa Barbara County.
