I enjoyed a matcha latte made with oat milk, and I was really impressed by the flavor profile! It was a delightful drink!

Though usually one for a hot coffee, it was steamy hot out so I went for an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and was wildly impressed. I was going to sit for a bit so had the latte for there and it was icy cold and the vanilla flavoring was brilliantly paired to the really good espresso notes within the latte. I also went for a Financier, which is a gluten-free banana bread sort of loaf and this was downright silly how good it was. It had a rich banana and sort of caramel flavor to it and as a gluten-free pastry option was one of the finest that I have had. Love that the coffee shop had just about every seat full with people doing work, studying, reading and catching up and the spot was a true neighborhood gem sort of location. Awesome spot!

However, this place has definitely grown on me. I really like the quaint feel of the space. The drinks are strong, but still very well crafted, and the wait staff are always kind and attentive. It has a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. It's not quite my Cheers, but it's definitely a place where you can let your hair down from time to time.

All the matcha lattes are greatttt, the horchata latte could taste more horchata-like... I love the flights of different drinks you can get as well. Very special place. The service is always good everyone is so kind . The shop gets decorated very well throughout the year. Definitely a gem in the southside. Parking is very nice because there is street parking available all the time. Even after moving away from Chicago, I had to come back twice during my trip.

I bravely went for the latin-inspired latte flights, consisting of Mexican mocha, Coquito, horchata, and cafe de Olla. My favorite out of these four was the coquito because of the coconut pieces, which blended well with the latte. I know it sounded silly, but I enjoyed chewing these coconut flakes and they were good palate cleansers! The presentation was da bomb as well. The only reason that I couldn't give five stars to "Stockyard" was limited seating. The place was super cute, but there were only 3 tables and less than 4 high chair seating against the windows, plus some outdoor seating on the pedestrian walkway. The laptop users were respectfully directed to sit at the windows and outlets were available. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I asked the details of the latte flight and they explained the offerings. I thought there was only one type of latte flights, but I believe the one I selected was very much suited to my preferences. "Stockyard Coffeehouse" is accessible via routes CTA 44 (Racine/Wallace) and CTA 8 (Halsted) busses. It's great to have a reliable indie coffeeshop in the neighborhood like this, so keep up the good work!

There's even a community board towards the bathroom, which gives this spot a community-based vibe. It's a quick, casual spot with several tables open for grabs when people leave. I got a traditional everything bagel w cream cheese to start the day, which had the RIGHT amt of cream cheese. Sometimes places give wayy too much, ruining the exp. I also ordered their popular Sumac Chicken sandwich on their Dutch Crunch bread, which was really good!! The bread had a slight sweetness to it that was satisfying and the flavors altogether were soo yummy. I waited ~12 min for my order, since they were rightfully packed. No outside food/drinks allowed if you're grabbing a table to eat. There's WiFi and a restroom in the back. Lots of neighborhood regulars. Bonus points that their food is halal for those w dietary restrictions. Great neighborhood spot!!

Downside to sitting in is the music is loud so if you need a quiet space this probably isn't it. The service is good. Very swift and to the point. I ordered an iced coffee that I wouldn't get again but not a harsh judge on that. Don't think drinks are their strong-suit. Naturally, best part is the sandwiches. I had a corned beef breakfast sandwich on croissant and it was fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Our most recent visit was on a Friday with a friend.  It was comfortably busy, unlike weekends when they are packed. I was happy to see that they have also added more seating, making it more inviting for customers who want to sit down and enjoy their pastries and drinks. My daughter was looking forward to her favorite Chocolate Chip Croissant, while I was hoping to get their Matcha Bread with Matcha Cream Filling. Unfortunately, neither was available, so we assumed they had simply sold out. This location is usually well-stocked, so that was a surprise.  Later, I found out on their online menu that they don't offer these items anymore, which was a disappointment.  Next time we will find something else to try, as there are so many items to choose from. I was glad that our friend found something that she liked, and happily showed her tray to me with some milky bread and pastries.  I have to mention about their wonderful cakes.  I have tried their Blueberry Yogurt Cake and recently the Mango Cloud Cake at my sister's birthday party, and liked them both.  The mango cream and cloud cream of the Mango Cloud Cake are light and not too sweet; the cake is moist and fluffy.  Their cakes make a perfect sweet ending to a big meal.  We were on cloud 9!

The display cases are filled with beautiful pastries, the smell of fresh coffee fills the air, and everything just feels warm and inviting. It's a nice little change of pace from everything happening outside. The staff was super friendly too and greeted us with a smile as soon as we walked in. I ordered the Caramel Almond Pastry, and wow... it was perfection from the very first bite. The pastry was incredibly flaky, with thin buttery layers that shattered just enough with every bite before melting in your mouth. The caramel filling was smooth, rich, and had that deep buttery sweetness. Then the sliced almonds added the perfect crunch along with a light roasted, nutty flavor that balanced the sweetness beautifully. The caramel and almonds together tasted like they were made for each other. I'll definitely be back to try more pastries because if this one was any indication, they know exactly what they're doing.
