Seriously light and delicious, reasonably priced, the self serve selection is easy, the staff is helpful, and inside is cozy and inviting.

Tidy & cozy cafe to satisfy coffee & pastry fix, tho their shelves were mostly empty during my visit. I got there around 5:30pm & they close at 9pm. It's big enough for groups. My matcha latte was legit. Service was fast!

Cases of baked goodness greets you upon entering the shop.

Charming French pastry shop located in the middle of Chinatown, a bit crazy. But what a variety of treats, including traditional French pastries and not so traditional items, like mochi donuts. Some of the tables could have used a wiping down, but we did see someone going around wiping them down when we left. If you love croissants and croissant pastry type treats, this is the place to go. They also have breads and other lovely baked goods, but those croissants, cruffins, and the like were the prettiest things that looked absolutely delicious. Hubby bought a loaf of sourdough and loved it. It was the traditional sour sourdough, of which I am not a fan, but he loved it. Bought a soft strawberry cake, which was good, but not really special. Should have sprung for the croissant type stuff I've mentioned, but it was quite pricy and we have some great croissant bakers in northern Michigan, so I wasn't feeling the need to have it. Friendly staff, always a plus. Even if you don't buy anything, good luck with that, it is worth stopping in just to see the fabulous array of goodies laid out in glass cases. Really.

This spot in Chinatown is always a place we drop by. They have a really good variety of pastries and we honestly haven't been disappointed by anything we've tried. The setup can be confusing if you've never been to this kinda place before, but you just grab a tray and tongs at the front and pick what you want from the cases. When you're done, they've got you covered at the register. They also have a grab-and-go case plus full cakes and more elaborate slices if you're in a rush or want something a step up from the cases. The staff is super nice and always asks if you want anything heated up or if you prefer it packed to go, which I appreciate. There's a fair amount of seating, but it definitely fills up fast. My personal favorite is the crab croquettes. They're savory with a subtle sweetness that's really nicely balanced and not something you see everywhere. Worth stopping in.

After dim sum, we opted for something sweet to take home and stumbled upon Paris Baguette. The selection here is better than the one located in Hmart. We got a mix of sweet and savory. (Later at home, everyone enjoyed their pics.) It was busy but not soo much that we were overwhelmed and felt rush to pick out our pastries. Checkout is quick and efficient. We will add this to our rotation when we are on this side of Chinatown.

This Chintown location is pretty spacious, great spot to do some work. I got a sweet potato bread pastry and a ham and cheese pastry (I recommend getting this toasted), both good. The staff are really nice. The bathrooms are also pretty clean.

The gist: Its so good, we're going back! The details: We came to Paris Baguette while visiting Chicago to get a cake to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law's wedding anniversary. There were so many options that looked appealing. In addition to cakes, there were pastries, lattes, milk tea, etc. We went with the red velvet cake. It was delicious! Super moist, very fresh and they packaged it well. They let us pick it up right then and gave the option to have a message written plate. They also gave us a cake cutter and candles. For our individual desserts, we settled for cookies as our initial preferences were sold out. Note: Go early. We initially went in Paris Baguette around 2pm but decided to explore Chinatown first so that we would not have to carry the cake around. By the time we got back, around 4pm, most of the pastries we'd seen earlier were sold out and had been replaced with cookies. We were a little disappointed, but those cookies were absolutely delicious! That said, we decided that it's definitely worth a trip tomorrow to try some of the more unique items like the Biscoff cruffin, blueberry yogurt cake, and strawberry & Nutella pizzetta. Good service. Some of the items were a little pricey, but the cookies were actually reasonable for the huge size. The bakery was spacious... more spacious than anything else in. Chinatown. Overall: I can't wait to go back!

Fresh Fresh fresh and so much variety Loved the energy in the space. In Chinatown, and wish I was not so full as I would have tried more bakery

Paris Baguette is a self serve bakery along the Main Street in Chinatown. They offer really delicious pastries from croissants, danish, a variety of mochi donuts, savory breads, sweet buns, breads, muffins and specialty decorated cakes! They have gourmet teas and coffees to accompany the deserts. There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your purchases. Everything is made fresh and tastes amazing! We tried the matcha mochi donut, almond croissant, lemon tart and bought a loaf of raisin milk bread for home. Items are generously filled, garnished and decorated with top quality ingredients. Service is fast! They wrap them nicely as well.

Very cute decor and ambiance, however the service was mediocre, but it's fine. There was a huge selection of pastries with options for everyone. It's also self-serve, which is a plus. I enjoyed the blueberry cream cheese pastry as well as the coffee one. The curry was just okay, probably wouldn't get it again. The Nutella latte was pretty bad in my opinion and needed a lot of doctoring up. I'd definitely return again because there's more pastries that I would love to try.

Well unfortunately I was going to head up north to argyle and Broadway and I was hoping that old Chinatown by cermak and Wentworth would have had Vietnamese rice cake on any of the bakeries. Unfortunately they did not and I was really craving for that. So I chose this one because it was the only bakery that had a sit down. The other bakeries I'd probably have to head back to the car and eat it which I did not want to on the semi cold day. Anyways, the pastries were just meh ok. What the castella de meil cake was similar to eating a Filipino sponge cake called mamon that I could get from Red ribbon for cheaper and then spending almost $4.49. I also ordered some croissant and two fruit pastries one was with blueberry and the other one was a strawberry lemon croissant. It was just okay there is nothing I would do cartwheels for but it wasn't bad either. Service was pretty quick. Ambience was quite noisy with a lot of the younger crowd in their 20s or 30s if you may say a millennial or a gen z. Otherwise my disappointment is that not just this bakery. But all the other bakeries did not have Vietnamese rice cake I guess cuz it's Chinatown they used to have it. I would have gone up North but I had to go to Senegalese restaurant in bronzeville and didn't want to drive so many times after washing my car. Otherwise to me it's just three stars. Not bad but not super great

Delicious pastries and so many different options. They have seasonal options and frequently have new things. I have loved all things I have had. Crispy croissants, fresh and well balanced fruit pastries and chocolate that's so yummy. Service is helpful and friendly. Clean and open eating area with plenty of seating. My favorite from this trip was the cronut. Light lemon frosting and it was not too sweet, just right.

What an incredible pastry shop!!! Our cashier Justin was polite and efficient and deserving of the optional tip. The atmosphere is vibrant with tons of foot traffic which offers a feeling of excitement. The trays lined with parchment paper and mini tongs make for a sanitary self service establishment. As for the food: The pictures speak for themselves! So deliciously decadent that it is ridiculous!!!!

It was a great sandwich, very lean, but you could get a sandwich as good for half the cost elsewhere. They only have a couple of kid's items, but my friend requested buttered noodles for her kid rather than the cheesy noodles. I got the hibiscus drink and lavender lemonade, both non-alcoholic, and they were very good. My little one especially liked the hibiscus. And we ordered the appetizer of whipped ricotta and honey; my daughter liked this more than anything else we ordered. We didn't have dessert at the restaurant, but ordered to go. The pot of gold was really good. There were little "gold nuggets" on it and that was my daughter's favorite part; good thing since I didn't realize it had a layer with Bailey's in it. It was very rich, and the cauldron was really thick chocolate (and actually was a struggle to get into, a bit!). The restaurant is small but it didn't feel crowded. We never felt rushed or unwelcome, and we were there for a couple hours (longer than I realized; it took an unusually long time to make two reuben sandwiches). Their pastries are really nice but somewhat expensive, like the rest of the menu. It was a nice, sophisticated experience.

I was skeptical at first because it is a local chain, rather than a singular location. However, it lived up to the hype. Service: it was extremely busy when we came in. The line was almost out the door. They have a system in place for ordering and seating so it worked well and fast given how busy they were. We didn't have any questions on where to order or where to stand when waiting for a seat. The staff were friendly and helped us find a spot to sit at. Ambiance: classic cafe in a city. Loud chatter, but it's a vibe. Very colorful and fun interior with cool textural elements. We had a seat that was facing the street so it was fun to people watch as we sipped and ate. Food: amazing breakfast selection! We ordered the morning sandwich and barbacoa bowl. The morning sandwich had THICK scrambled eggs which were super soft and tasty. I could've used more salsa verde on it. The bread was barely toasted. I'd rate the sandwich a 3.8/5. It got the job done. The barbacoa bowl was "really good" according to my fiancé. A great source of protein, fresh ingredients, nice flavor, and great portions. He would rate it a 5/5. Coffee: I am a coffee snob so I am quite harsh when it comes to reviewing it. Their machine is a cute La Marzocco. Appropriate sized "for-here" glasses according to the drinks. Plus, they were really cute. Wide variety of drink selection from your standards to the more girly-drinks (if there is such a thing). We ordered a cappuccino and small hot mocha. Latte art 4.5/5, temperature 5/5, flavor 4/5. The espresso didn't stand out to me, very standard flavor profile. However, the chocolate in the mocha was delicious. It's more of a rich, dark chocolate. Nice thin layer of foam.
