DO NOT HIRE - We worked with Leo after meeting with him in July to discuss our home project. Work began in September, and now here we are in March and the project is still not complete, with several items that should have been finished months ago still pending. The biggest issue throughout this entire process has been the complete lack of communication and professionalism. We constantly had to be the ones reaching out for updates, and many times our calls and messages went unanswered. When we did get responses, we were given timelines and information that later turned out to be inaccurate. At this point, we truly question whether items were actually ordered when he said they were. For example, we were told our glass railing was ordered in November, and months later we are still being told it has not come in. The same situation happened with our slider door, which we were told was ordered last year, and we are now being told it is still 6-8 weeks out due to "delays." We repeatedly asked Leo for the contact information for the companies he ordered these items from so we could follow up ourselves, and he refused to provide it and stopped responding to those requests altogether. In addition to the delays and lack of communication, much of the work that was completed by his crew was done poorly. My husband is now spending his weekends fixing mistakes that should have been done correctly the first time. Unfortunately, we have reached the point where we had to hire a new contractor just to get this project finished properly and functioning the way it should have from the beginning. Leo is a nice person, but the way he runs his business -- the lack of communication, lack of accountability, poor workmanship, and overall lack of professionalism -- is not someone we would ever recommend to do your home project. read more

The quality of the work was so bad I had to have another contractor repair his work within a few months. He was unable to complete the job in the first place. I am trying to sell my home now and it is costing me a lot of money since he did not get any proper permits and did not do the job to code. He was completely unprofessional and did not respond to any complaints other than hanging up on me. My real estate agent was disgusted with the quality of his work. Our kids were in preschool together so I thought that meant I could trust him to be a man of his word and do quality work. I was sorely mistaken. I can't say enough great things about this company. Leo was recommended to me by my neighbor who had work done by Dreams2Reality. I loved their kitchen so I had to get mine done. Leo is awesome and so was everyone else he brought in. My house looks amazing! I had my kitchen and bathroom completely redone and had all my floors replaced. Leo came out to give us an estimate, he was really professional and polite. I was told he would have quote to me the next day... After a few text messages and phone calls 5 days later we finally received the estimate. It was reasonable but the delay of getting the estimate to me made me question hiring him. Wish I could give negative stars. Trying to write this out of experience and not out right anger. So based off talking to many construction companies after the fact, my work should have taken 2-3 months tops. Leo from D2R took a year. Maybe it was the fact he had kept having to redo work over and over. First time getting my house interior painted...but it shouldn't take 4 attempts to get it correct. The bathroom tub grout cracking 4 months after install...and without any use. Paint spilled all over the tile they installed...multiple times. Cleaning their paint brushes in our new composite granite sink. Bait and switch on paint, being told using Baer paints and getting cheap Mesa apartment paint that was watered down. Since this experience I had to kick Leo off the job and hire 4 new contractors to finish his terrible work. Best part about the entire experience was finding Leo squatting in our house. I wish I could give these guys six stars. I'm a terrible procrastinator about doing yard work, so I called Leo and asked for a quote to weed, fertilize, and generally clean up the front yard. When he came out, he ended up charging me LESS than he quoted on the phone, which was already a reasonable rate. They guys did exactly what I wanted with the yard, which looks great now. I was in my car across from the Sheraton Grand Hotel when two of their maintenance people came down the sidewalk blowing a massive dust and dirt storm off the sidewalk ruining a $25 car wash. Must be a better way to clean the sidewalks than just blowing everything into the street and all over people's cars. read more

I've had my share of not so great experiences with contractors and was blown away with how well this went. I was listened to. I was asked what I wanted and how I wanted it. Leo and his crew were always polite and on schedule. I was even out to town and Leo went the extra mile to help me get what I needed in a timely manner. I was not surprised with the end cost even though some things came up with an old house (they always do), Leo explained the extra work and was more than extremely fair in the price. His quote also came in the lowest and I worried that would reflect in the quality but it absolutely did not. His prices, his patience and care make him a 5 star company for me! We used Leo for our 1945 Land Park Remodel last summer. He added a bedroom and half bath and replaced the plumbing and the front facade. We made some changes as we were going through each phase and he was very flexible and adapted to our changes quickly. Leo is the best. Dreams2 Reality came highly recommended by some friends of ours and we hired Leo to do a major remodel of a house we bought and planned to rent. His prices are great and the quality of work is fantastic. We live out of town and did the best we could managing the project but he took the initiative to address unanticipated complications. For example, when working on the kitchen, he noticed that the gas line for the range was too far out into the room--the range, when installed, would not slide back to the wall. He made the fix on his own and didn't charge us for it. He even mowed the front lawn when it was getting unruly. In an attempt so save money we planned on doing some of the work ourselves. Leo was happy to work with us on this and even had one of the guys on his crew help one day when my husband was on his own and looking particularly overwhelmed. It's so important to hire a contractor that you can trust and someone who is a team player. Throughout the process Leo was a total pro. Because my schedule is more flexible that my husbands (and I love this stuff!), I was Leo's primary contact. We have worked with many contractors in the past and I have come to expect that many contractors treat women, well....like idiots. Leo treated me like a normal human being! We worked really well together and the project turned out great. We continue to call Leo whenever we need something done or even just need his opinion on something. I hate to write a bad review since I really think Leo is a nice guy, but I'm disappointed with the quality of work that went into my backyard. I hired him to redo my whole backyard. Regrade, sprinkler installation, sod and bender board. I also had the idea that I would like a pathway going around the perimeter of my yard so my daughter could ride her tricycle around it. He suggested decomposed granite since cement was very expensive. He assured me it would be as hard as cement and that I would be very pleased with this alternative. So I decided to trust him. His crew came in on Tuesday and they were done with the entire project by Friday. I thought this was kind of quick but I was excited to have my new back yard so quickly. I was told to stay off of it for about 2 weeks to let the sod take so problems weren't really noticed until later. Due to the frequent watering of the sod the decomposed granite pathway literally turned to mush in areas. There were times (and I'm not exaggerating) that you would sink down past your ankles when you stepped on it. I had to help pull my friend out one day. And my daughter lost her shoes in it twice when she stepped on it. Also there were 2 small spots where the sod died because the sprinkler wasn't adjusted to water the whole yard. When I called Leo to tell him of the problems he assured me that he would fix everything. After a few weeks, a few calls, and a few text messages later he finally came back out to fix the pathway. His crew came in and quickly layed down more DG, packed it, then left. He also told me that I could buy a hardener to put down on the pathway and it should fix all the problems. I told him that I wanted him to put the hardener on it, because if that's what it needed it should of been included in the job. He said he would. After a few more weeks of being out in our backyard I noticed that there were several areas where the sod had sunk down into the areas where trenches were dug for the sprinklers. So you're walking along the grass and then trip because you step down into a hole. So I called him back again to tell him of the problems, and to ask again about the DG pathway. He assured me again that all things would be taken care of that he would be in my area of town the next week and would stop by. That was weeks ago and I haven't heard from him! At this point I'm over dealing with it. My husband and I will try and fix any problems ourselves. I'm just accepting the fact that I paid over $6000 for a mediocre job. Ive got grass (which is beautiful by the way,except for the 2 dead spots) and a dirt pathway that turns to mud when it gets wet. Oh, and his crew left many of the pallets that the sod comes on on the side of my house for us to dispose of. Not very professional to not clean up after yourself. read more

We were in the middle of a new construction build and unfortunately had to let our previous contractor go. Leo and his crew went beyond expectation! The communication was outstanding, I never had to ask what was going on. Leo and his crew were professional and respectful not only to me but the surrounding neighbors. They cleaned up the jobsite as the end of each day! I was happy with the completion of the unfinished work and the eye to detail but what really spoke volumes to me was that Leo is known and respected by city utilities and city building inspectors. Leo was able to finally get our water and gas connected and ultimately get city "final" for occupancy. I plan to use him in the future and would highly recommend! read more

As other reviewers have said the owners of this company are awful. The actual workers do good work though, but the owners will never call you back and will never respond to email questions. My bill is always wrong and I have to literally email them about 7 times a day for 2 weeks before they'll finally respond to me. If you have any other option, go some place else, this company is nothing but a headache. read more

This is the second time we have used Leo's company for our house projects. The first time he replaced a section of our fence and added a lattice to another section. Leo was very busy then but once they arrived to start the fence they worked very fast and accurately! The fence work was quality work and the workers were knowledge able and courteous. They finished this project in one day! The project we just had Leo's crew finish was a major back yard landscape and sprinkler system install. Again, Leo is very busy and despite this he managed to fit us into this hectic schedule as well as work with our budget. This was a major work project and his employees were dependable, hard working, and responsive to our questions and project needs. It is very obvious that high quality products and planning were used for our yard and it looks absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend Leo and his crew and when we have another house project we will call Leo first! We know we will get quality work for a reasonable cost. I called Leo this morning in a panic, after reading his great reviews here on Yelp. Now I am thankfully adding my compliments to Leo, who was avaIlable for my emergency, was very professional, and very reasonable. I'm leaving for a month early tomorrow, and my house goes up for sale tomorrow. A few emergency fix-it stuff came up on my house, and Leo fixed everything, and did it quickly and thoroughly. What a life-saver! I hope to sell my house while I am gone this month, and move quickly upon my return. But I have already arranged with Leo to do a trash run for me as I close out my house (yes, he is multi-talented!). Leo from Dreams 2 Reality just completed a fence for me and I am SO pleased and more than happy to give him a great review. I found him here on YELP and called him first because of his great reviews. First off, he returned my calls, unlike other contractors I tried. His bid came in lowest of the few who did respond, and he has excellent phone contact and emailed a professional estimate to me. He ended up being able to do the work BEFORE the planned date (where have you EVER heard of a contractor who was even on time, let alone early?) and his crew were kind and professional. Leo was on site the whole time, unlike other contractors who accept a job and then send a crew and you never see "the boss" again until pay time. They finished the whole job in one day. As a former property manager of 12 years, I have hired and delt with dozens of contractors. Leo is head and shoulders above others I have hired. The fence looks great, and the clean up of the area is excellent. He even took care of overgrowth of ivy and the old fence removal and disposal. The fence looks perfect, I am VERY happy with the work, and even happier to have met Leo. He is a genuine and very personable man who cares about his integrity and his family. He is super friendly, and we will ABSOLUTLY have him do the next work that we need done here on our home. I used this contractor thinking he was new and would work hard trying to build a name for himself. At first it was great but when I started questioning the work being done he walked away from the job, unfinished! I had to hire other contractors to fix some of the things that were not done correctly, after giving this contractor several chances to make it right. They used my tools at the drop of a hat, never asking first and then taking them when they left. They never protected my belongings with that being the last straw and asking his guys to leave. I had either texture or paint over spray on my new computer, tower, keyboard and screen, not to mention my new dresser. These are just a few of the things. I want to post pictures because currently I have a roof porch leaking right down by my front door which has taken this contractor six months to try and fix this situation. I am sure by the end of these storms it will once again be running right down the front door, as every day it is getting worse. I will keep my fingers crossed that it does not leak into my walls and do damage. I still have fascia boards on my roof that have not been put into place. He also never produced my receipts for the supplies purchased so I went and got most of the copies, at which time I found many purchases for tools and things this contractor should of had to do a job. I paid for these tools and he never paid me back for them, nor did he leave the supplies that were no used so I could return them. I am currently working with the Contractors State License Board to get my house fixed and work completed. read more
