This place has a nice location sitting just across the street from Walled Lake, with a great view of the lake and outdoor seating. The food was reasonably priced and the service was very prompt! Our server was very kind and while very busy, didn't give a brush-off like most places will with that many people inside. From their artichoke dip to their burgers, it was a great meal. Highly recommend for a summer or anytime hang out. They can accommodate groups as well as small parties of 2-6 regularly. I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

A perfect dive bar with upscale food and a great view. The staff is always really friendly they have daily specials and lots of televisions. I love any of their grilled items, but the fish and chips is also a go to. Driftwood has a large bar, plenty of big tables and even a patio. This place is bustling! When we arrived, we seated ourselves and it took awhile before someone cleaned the table and brought us menus. The drinks took just as long. The food was pretty good, it sits right off of lake so that was pretty nice, I had the Inferno Burger which wasn't really spicy at all it did have really good flavors. The service was fast and really on their toes so that was nice and the ambience was perfect, it wasn't packed, it wasn't loud it was just right, they had a drink called "Kentucky Gentleman" which was really good, if your a bourbon lover you have to try this. On the negative side, it's a bar so it's very loud while trying to eat dinner. But hanging up definitely seems more vegan-hostile than vegan-friendly (despite their claim on their website). I've been to the neighborhood bar several times with my husband. A patio and big windows face Walled Lake, which gives the place an upscale feel. Bigger on the inside, there is plenty of seating. Wanted to try a new place so found this little gem on Google. This bar and grill sits near the water so the view is wonderful. They offer outdoor seating and inside seating and the ambiance is inviting and chill. Inside tvs are everywhere so you can catch the latest game. The service is great!. The servers do their job well. They have a full bar with wine, beer, and cocktails and coke products. The food is wonderful. Huge menu. Everything our table ordered was 10/10. I also liked they had non alcoholic options for beer. I am pregnant so it was nice when they offered this option to me. I felt like I was drinking a beer without the alochal. Made my day. The menu is a bit pricey, but it's worth it. It was my first time here. On the outside it looks like a cool lake house with the lake behind it. The ambiance on the inside is beautiful. The waitress that I had was new but you couldn't tell it because she was so knowledgeable, helpful and professional that it seemed she was working here for years. I ordered the lamb chops with green beans and red skin potatoes and it was delicious! The lamb chops were out of this world with the sauce that comes with it. The cons of this place is that it has a lot of televisions around the bar that has sports playing on it but the music that they're playing is MUCH louder than the tv's so you'll never hear the game. read more

We came for Father's Day brunch and were VERY disappointed. The portions were small, I ordered eggs and steak tips then had to make myself more food at home. I am a small woman this is ridiculous. My eggs were very undercooked, I had to ask for toast several times and I had to get up to my own condiments. They forgot the eggs for my daughter then brought out the scrambled when she asked for over medium. My boyfriend's portion was also small. Worst experience and the staff were not even apologetic. It was a beautiful Saturday night, and we wanted to go out for dinner to a place we hadn't been before. We remembered seeing Driftwood, so we decided to go there. Because it was so nice, there was a wait to sit outside, so we decided to sit inside. We both had a hard time deciding what to order, as everything looked so good. I decided on the fish & chips, and my sister had the Jive Turkey Reuben. The fish and chips was among the best I've had. Three huge pieces of lightly battered fish and a ton of fries, served with creamy cole slaw. I only ate about 1/3, but it was really good. Glad I have leftovers to look forward to! read more

The food at Driftwood Bar and Grill is surprisingly delicious. Not that I didn't expect good food; I did expect good food, just not this good. The french fries are some of the best I've had in a long while, long and crispy with just the right ratio of crunch and fluff. And the chicken tacos were best of class: fresh slaw, juicy chicken, yummy sauce with just the right amount of spiciness. Hubby got crab cakes and he was a little bit disappointed because there is an awful lot of red pepper in them, and he's not a red pepper lover. This is a pretty cool place. The view has vacation vibes. We didn't get to sit on the patio sadly since it was a 1/2 hour wait so we sat at the closest table to the window. The food was pretty good. We got steak bites to start with, those were very good. I got the Cesar salad with shrimp. I was $7 to add shrimp, which came to $1 per shrimp since there were 7 on my salad, yes I counted because why not. I also hope the shrimp was fully cooked, it seemed so soft. The boneless wings were good, better than BWWs as our waitress stated, and we agreed! My husband ordered a drink off of the summer specials menu and we expected it to be a drink as it was a French 75, but it totally came as a shot which was a shock to both of us.
