Chicken Pot pie
James K.

Let me start with this place was a nice surprise. It's much bigger inside, than it appears from outside. Our server Katherin was probably one of the best we've had since moving back to Michigan! While she assured me she had only been there about 2 weeks, this great lady knew her menu inside out and upside down, and had some great suggestions. Her attention to service was excellent, and her attitude even better! Also Rayah (working nearby) was very sweet and made it a point to say hello, and made us feel welcomed also. The little "fireplaces" they had strategically located around were a nice touch to the ambiance as well as the dim table lamps. This would be a great place for a date. The food was excellent, the drinks were average priced and you can tell the ownership is deeply involved in wanting quality for their customers. This is a come as you are place, but also a bit higher scale than just a bar and grill. Great for a date, a couple of friends that haven't talked in a while, family and group friendly. Thank you for a great time, We will definitely be back!

Lamb Meatballs

Being new to the area, I was looking for a unique place to have a quick bite for lunch. Diamond Jim Brady's is such a cool spot! I sat at the bar ordered a glass of wine and had a fun time speaking with the bartender. I ended up ordering the lamb meatballs and they were absolutely delicious. I loved the overall decor , very chic! It was quite busy for a weekday and all the food coming out looks great! I will most certainly be back.

We loved the vibe, the service, the drinks, and the food. We ate from the specials menu, and Amanda was thorough, attentive, and made great recommendations. When we come back to Detroit, this will be a regular stop.

Cute outdoor patio, decent food, fast service really close to the downtown Novi area. & The service was great!

Diamond Jim Brady's is the best bistro that exists in a strip mall. It has no business being so delicious, but there is room for improvement. Pros Ambiance: gives European cafe vibes Drink selection: nice to see Michigan wines listed. Had a knockout Riesling from Shade Lane Cellars. Would like to see more Michigan libations offered! Food: Quality, taste, variety. Even the house salad, that has a delectable vinaigrette and pine nuts, was much above average. I get a kick out of their descriptors; radish & pea rumble, pistachio dust. The food feels more elevated than the location. Cons Service: from the host to the waitress, they all made my party feel like they didn't want us there. Were they short staffed? All stuck up? Not sure, but it felt unwelcoming and off brand. Gluten Free: The GF options are not available online, and the waitress seemed uncertain about which dishes were. Would be best of they listed this on their menus, if they change often/seasonally. Would I dine here again? Absolutely. Food is 5 star. Looking forward to trying the patio!

Chocolate Chip Pretzel Blondie
Santanu S.

The Coulotte Steak was surprisingly between room temperature and lukewarm. It may have been left in the kitchen while the other dishes were read, but it was the last dish to be served at the table. I enjoyed the flavor but wished the temperature was warmer. I generally prefer brownies over blondies. The Chocolate Chip Pretzel Blondie has surprisingly plenty of chocolate for a blondie. When I took a bite, I could taste the blondie even though it was wrapped in fudge and provided a pleasant contrast. In addition to the hot fudge, there is the chocolate gelato in case the fudge fails to provide sufficient taste of chocolate. Sadly, the waitress decided to blame a particular colleague for a slowness in service. A couple times, she acknowledged that dessert was still being made. The second time, she decided to blame an unnamed employee who was in charge of making the salad and the desserts. She said it was her first day on the job. In my experience at other restaurants, the waitstaff would mention the "kitchen" was backed up but never point blame to an individual employee. When she forgot to bring one of the beverages, I am surprised she did not blame this same colleague.

Smoked Whitefish Dip - fantastic

First time here and we were in a group of 14. Had our own private area which was very nice (and heated). Our server was Tory and she was Johnny on the spot. Had a number of appetizers - Garlic Shrimp, Smoked Whitefish Dip, Calamari and more - all appetizers were on point. For my entree, I had the KFC - Korean Fried Chicken sandwich w/ cole slaw and sweet Asian chili sauce - this blew me away, as it tasted so, so good. Full bar as well, so drink up! I'll be back here, as the place is very nice, the service fantastic and the food was simply delicious.

DJB's has 69 years of experience and seldom disappoints. Dining companions ordered coulotte steak well done w/crispy au gratin potatoes. The kitchen complied. Tasty and thankfully, not over-salted. Salmon rumble was a generous portion of salmon, just a tad over-cooked and beginning to approach dry. The rumble is cashews, squash, potato and Brussels sprouts. Looking forward to "patio" weather! Isabel(la?) provided terrific, attentive and knowledgeable service. Will I return? Yes, of course.

Delicious!

First time dining here, and I must say, I will be back! The food was delicious, and Gina was one of the best waitresses we've ever had. She was so pleasant, and attentive. Her suggestions did not disappoint! I had the Steak Diane, and my friend had the Braised ShortRibs. The portion size was plenty, and we both had leftovers to take home. The Mac and Cheese that we shared as a side dish was so good. The Bread Pudding for dessert was amazing, as was my Chocolate Martini that Gina had suggested. We felt the prices were very fair for what we got. Very nice ambiance too! Definitely 5 stars, and Gina is 10 stars!

The ambiance is so relaxing, and it's sporting this really calming blue tone throughout that just makes you feel comfortable and at ease It's energetic but somehow still cozy at the same time. Now let's talk FOOD The fish was HUGE. When I say huge... I mean it was as long as my FOREARM Absolutely massive! Perfectly cooked, tender, flaky, and packed with flavor. You definitely get your money's worth! Those chicken wings?! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE Bold flavor, juicy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and plated so beautifully they were almost too pretty to eat! Everything tastes fresh, high quality, and made with care And the prices? SPOT ON Great portions, amazing flavor, and you truly feel like you're getting value for what you pay. I don't care enough to find it. Our server was spectacular! Absolutely no complaints there. Our food came out quickly and was hot and good. But that was it. Nothing was exceptionally delicious or set itself apart from anything else. The food tasted like what you would get at any other restaurant. I was excited to see the Monte Cristo on the menu and thought I'd get one to go since its a rarity now that Bennigans is gone. But aftet tasting my mother in laws, I decided there was no need. Got two cocktails and they were good but not very strong and again nothing to go crazy about. But hey, this could be just me because it certainly was packed. However, this is one I can check off the list as having gone but not one I need to go back to.

I'm not a fan of bar food, but it's local so I love supporting local restaurants. We must have caught them when they were out of stock of everything. Ordered a pineapple mojito (mocktail) it was just pineapple juice and tonic water. They were out of all the ingredients for it. But still made the drink and wanted to charge for it. I told her no take it back. I wanted the fried pickles, but the table next to us got the last order. The server literally told them "bad news for everyone else, but good for them". Food was very low quality. My burger was very burnt and had no flavor to it. I wasn't a fan of the fries either, but that's a personal preference as I don't like "crispy fries". The chips were ok. They did not taste fresh. Waitress was nice though, no complaints besides if you know you're out of things let the customer know. They did have live music playing and I enjoyed the selection of songs he sang. Unfortunately I didn't get any impressions of anything to say I will give it another try. I'm sure if I drank beer it might be different. They had a lot of selections, but that day we're out of many drafts.

There is an entrance for just the restaurant which makes it easier to enter. There is also close parking next to it. I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. I would have preferred it on the side, but that's just a personal preference. The green beans weren't soggy, they had a slight crisp to them. A great flavor. I opted out of the loaded baked potato and just got a plain with butter , sour cream and chives. Overall for what I ordered I didn't think the price to be too unreasonable. However, this place can get pricy with other things on the menu. Their menu might also change because I seen photos of this place and those items weren't on the menu. I would come here again for a dinner alone, with my spouse and even with friends.
