Got carryout from MI Mosa tonight for the first time. Had there grilled chicken sandwich, it comes with fresh mozzarella, and a garlic mayo which was the star of the show. They also served it with homemade chips, usually I love when a restaurant does this but I wasn't impressed this time. Maybe they weren't fresh, who knows?! After being recommended this place by several people, I decided to give it a try. On Sundays they do not do reservations, but I was able to get a table right away. The place is nicely sized with a decent size bar area and beautiful artwork on the wall. I was with a party of six and our waitress was very attentive and very nice. A friend and I went here today after finishing our school year and it was a great way to celebrate. We shared a mimosa flight, I had the pancakes and potatoes, and she had the monte cristo. I also had the 3 buttermilk pancakes with bananas and chocolate chips and salted caramel butter, with a side of potatoes (red skin) and sautéed vegetables. The food and the mimosas were delicious . I liked all my flavors and they were strong. The salted caramel butter added a different but very yummy taste to the pancakes. The place offers indoor and outdoor seating and there is a bar inside as well. Parking is located in the back, as well as the door. I love this place, it gets crowded, but I love going in the evening for dinner and sitting at the bar and having a French 75, a very good Gin drink. I also love the fact that you can get their salads in a half portion which seems more appropriate for me. The spicy shrimp that I add makes it a super dish. The bartenders are always top-notch with drink quality, but sometimes I wish they were a little more engaging to talk to. Some are, but some are not. I love the decor of this place. Very quirky, and I appreciate that local artists are featured, displayed and even for sale. The service left a little bit to be desired, but that was about my only complaint. It's a very small place so I can imagine this place gets pretty packed and hectic during peak hours. My drink was good and exactly as expected. For food, I had an item off the special menu (the truffle chicken Marsala) and it was fantastic. You could really tell that everything was fresh. Most TOO popular and that is one of the problems. Long wait times on the weekends since they don't take reservations on the weekends. During the week they do but when I was there there wasn't an empty seat. Our table of 6 could not hear those at the other end. Menu is limited but doing that allows the kitchen to keep up with the demand. Some fancy items for the sake of being fancy, but some regular items you expect on an American brunch menu. My eggs Benedict was just above average and the potatoes were average. Those who ordered the salmon eggs Benedict was impressed by the large cut of salmon. While everyone loved what they ordered and had wanted to try the place, the amount of noise and the crowd really took the dining experience down. I've heard lots of good things about Mi Mosa, so when an opportunity came up to eat here, I took it. It started out so great, but quickly took a very mediocre turn. When I went to check in on the app, it said there was a 50 minute wait? On a Friday morning? UGH. I didn't sign up for the yelp wait list, so instead I went inside to see what the deal was. I was told there was "only" a 35 minute wait, so I put my name in until my friend arrived. Meanwhile, there really wasn't a good place to stand and wait. The problem is, the waiting areas the main hallway entrance (and exit), AND in front of the bathrooms along with the kitchen. This makes for an awkward waiting area since you're always literally in someone's way. They have an outside area with heating lamps, but I can't imagine someone standing out there for 35 minutes in the winter waiting for a table. I'm sure there has to be a better solution. Eventually my friend and I got seated and the food was fabulous. I got the breakfast quesadilla and she went with the French Toast. The food was quite good and I will say, once we were seated everything else was fine. Staff was super friendly and very professional, so there's that. I guess we just need to come when it's less busy. read more

BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE!!!! STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT THEY HATE BLACK PEOPLE. I went to this establishment a while ago, and sat in a booth close to the host stand. I heard the staff throughout my visit discuss the black tables they had and how much they hated them. Not only that but they literally hate to see blacks come in the door. The conversations were disgusting. Not to mention I saw one lady working there that seemed to be something other than WHITE. The only non-white server is amazing. She was kind, friendly, and treated us like everyone else. Our skin color didn't seem to matter to her. She gave us the same respect and attention that she gave her white tables. I've been trying to warn people of the racial discrimination at this place. My friend still went to this establishment after my many warnings and you will never believe what happened.....When she got her food there was GLASS in it. Not just one little piece. I'm talking about several big pieces. You would think if someone's food came out with glass in it that the place would take care of the bill right? Absolutely not....they took off her meal and remade it. BLACK PEOPLE WATCH OUT!!! Save your money and leave this racist establishment alone. Let their own kind come and support them.
