One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) We walk in on a Monday night and there were a few people there. It's a small place so I'm glad we were able to get a table. When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. On Fridays, they have a 4 piece special for $13.99 that I'll have to take advantage of soon. All in all, this little bar/restaurant has some amazing food that I just didn't expect after driving and running past it for years. Can't wait to go back.

Bow im a Chef and am a huge critic when it comes to food. My 1st bite immediately made me pull the waitress over and ask who the f*%$ made this. She got nervous and told us, but I told her it was the best burger I've had in over 10 years. The flavor is astounding. Cooked to perfection. My wife got The Corned beef Sandwich n fries, the corned beef is so tender and juicy and full of flavor. We give it a 9/10. Ty fuys for the hospitality on St. Daddy's day 2026!

Our group ended up waiting a long time each time we needed to speak to the server and it resulted in a lunch that took significantly longer than a weekday lunch should take. It would have been more understandable if they had been swamped but it was a pretty light day and we were one of a handful of tables at most. However, I will still give it another chance because the blackened salmon salad and spinach artichoke wrap I had on the two visits were both delicious.

The girl behind the bar was not attentive, only to the men that she knew drinking a beer. There was another gentlemen, 2 seats down, having sandwich and drinking water. This waitress ONLY talked to the two men that she apparently knew. She refilled the man's water and walked right past me. She did not refill my water until I was at the end of my meal. There was no conversation with myself or the man eating and drinking water. Now I use to eat at this place all of the time several years ago. IT USE TO BE VERY GOOD! Now, not much favor. The damn girl gave me a ketchup that was empty. She would of known by the weight of it. I asked for a different ketchup, she gave me one that still had the safety seal on it!!! This place needs a completely different person for the lunch crowd. Someone who can carry on a conversation with whomever comes in. Not just the younger men that come in that she knows that is drinking beer at noon. Unfortunately, I have a gift card for this place with plenty of money left on it. Next time I come in for lunch, I will make sure this girl is not there. AND, the food is NOT as good as it use to be. No flavor what so ever.

Hopes were decent, vibes were good, and hydration? Covered--with water. Only water. We were seated quickly (shoutout to the light crowd), and our server came by to ask if we wanted appetizers... before even offering drinks. Bit of an odd move--it felt like skipping the handshake and going straight for the hug. I'd already clocked the self-serve Coke Zero station (bless whoever added that), so I figured I'd grab one later. We ordered mozzarella sticks, potato skins, and garlic parm wings. The server disappeared before we could order drinks. When she returned with the apps, she vanished again without checking in. We had to flag down another server for plates--and someone managed to snag a tea while we were at it. Eventually, we got to place drink orders. They came out slowly, but once we had them, refills flowed freely. For mains, we ordered: 1 Prairie Flower Burger 1 Steak Salad 3 Meatloaf Dinners 1 Pot Roast in a Bread Bowl (my pick!) 2 NY Strips My pot roast came in a cute little bread bowl with gouda mashed potatoes--small but tasty. The burger looked fantastic, and I'm going back to try it. The meatloaf had a herby twist but was well-liked. The steak salad, however, missed the mark--cold steak, despite being asked how it should be cooked. The NY strip steaks were inconsistently cooked, and the baked potatoes came plain--no butter, no sour cream--just lonely spuds. You have to ask for toppings. Good to know for next time. Now for the plot twist: we waited 90 minutes for our food. We watched every other table get served before and after us while we sat and sipped our drinks. Our server was apologetic, and we made the best of it with good conversation. But dessert? Total redemption. Chocolate cake (solid) Berry compote cheesecake (delicious) Pettit's Donut Bread Pudding (absolute game changer) That bread pudding stole the show. I'd come back for that alone. And here's the best part: management comped the entire meal--without us asking. We were told half-off, but they covered it all to compensate for the delays. That kind of service? Huge win in my book. Will I return? Definitely. I live nearby, I love a good Coke Zero on tap, and I'm rooting for Sky Bar to smooth out the bumps. Final Verdict: A few stumbles, but solid effort, great desserts, and top-tier customer service.
