    iced latte

Curiosity finally killed the cat as I came here after the gym one day when they were by USC! I feel like I am honestly on a quest to try every coffee and matcha place close to USC and this was my latest victim. All milks cost the same so take your pick. I got an iced latte with almond milk and it was a little bit sweet with a decently strong coffee taste without being bitter or sour. I'd love to try their matcha sometime as well. Service is super fast and the dude manning the truck is really nice!

Finishing a stroll around the Silverlake reservoir, we came across the Drip Daddy Truck. What better treat than an iced caffeinated beverage? We ordered an iced dirty chai with oat milk and their signature shaken brown sugar oat milk latte. The iced dirty chai with oak milk was creamy. I enjoyed the prominent spice flavor that paired well with the espresso. In contrast to the iced dirty chai, I could taste more of the espresso in the shaken brown sugar. There was some acidity, and the flavor of brown sugar was minimal. The barista was friendly and kindly offered our Shiba Inu a milk bone treat. Our drinks were well made! Their location varies, so check their Instagram @Dripdaddyla for their schedule. They parked across the Silver Lake Basketball Court on Van Pelt Place during our visit.

You can see the effort that is put into every single menu item. Even their ice cubes are made of coffee :O (or matcha). So thoughtful of them. I loved my matcha latte and the complimentary little sweet that comes along with my drink every time. A perfect place to enjoy LA's beautiful weather. Their outdoor seating is so cozy. Parking is also easy to find. They're really good at keeping up with their social media in case you're wondering about their business hours or location. I will gladly return time & time again.

Both drinks were really good and well balanced. The only thing I'd note is that I personally wish my matcha had been a bit warmer, but flavor-wise it was still enjoyable. One thing I really loved was the concept of the iced coffee using coffee-based ice. Such a smart touch and it makes a huge difference as the drink melts. Customer service was excellent and our drinks were ready right on time. The whole at-home setup is a really cool concept and feels thoughtful and intentional. I'd definitely come back and look forward to trying more from NIU Coffee.

I love supporting Christian businesses, seeing Isaiah 41:10 (10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.) was such a great reminder. I would definitely order it again! The steak is not like a prime steak BUT everything had flavor! For desert I HAD to get the pecan brownie and the caramel brownie cause I'm a brownie connoisseur I like my brownies warmed up and these are good but I'll update my review once I have them warmed up with a warm coffee. Just the customer service alone would bring me back! But definitely if you are in the area please stop by and give it a try!

Family owned open for 23 years, this little gem in Shadow Hill is amazing. Walking in you don't feel like you're in California but in some country side in the south. We also got sourdough bread with butter on the side. Emily our waitress was very nice, sweet and attentive and so was everyone else. From the time we placed our order, it didn't take long when we got our food. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh. I will say they had a pretty good selection for breakfast, that also included Mexican/Tex mix breakfast. We will definitely be coming back to try their lunch. If I had to rate this place it would be 9 out of 10. If you're in the 818 area please be sure to visit this spot. A wonderful cafe adored by locals and a must-visit for anyone who's passing through the Burbank…read morearea. This cafe is run by a family of wonderful, empowering women who support their community and their customers with engaging events and delicious coffee. When I first moved to Burbank I was given a warm welcome by the ladies behind the counter and since then I'm happy to be a regular. Their drinks are on the more expensive side compared to larger corporate chains, but the taste and quality well makes up for the expense. They have a comfortable selection of bakery items, a diverse drink menu for all kinds of pallets, and signature lattes that hit the spot. This location offers a free library where customers can take a book and leave a book, reading in the shop or taking home, with an honor code of being expected to keep said book in good shape and to return it eventually. Their book vending machine is a huge hit, the interior is beautiful and relaxing and their location has a restroom. On the weekends they invite other small sellers, clothing entrepreneurs, bread makers, up-in-coming pottery shops, and more to use their store as a venue to expand their business. The Three Sisters' dedication to their community goes as far as sharing their success, which I admire! The cons of this location however, are that I firmly believe they've outgrown their space. Lines often form out of the cafe regularly and onto the street. It can take quite some time to wait when this happens. When they have sellers inside too--it becomes difficult to move it's so crowded. There's often not enough tables and chairs to go around, and it's uncomfortable to wait outside when it's sunny with zero shade or seats. While I love the shop encouraging people to stay and do their work, or relax, the limited seating capacity makes it so many customers are often left standing. I hope Three Sisters considers moving to a larger space, adapting outdoor seating to the experience, or grows their business enough to comfortably open multiple locations in the future to give their dedicated consumers and neighbors more space to enjoy their products.

I was very embarrassed to go up to the counter and ask for a redo, but did it anyways. They redid it without a hassle and I was very thankful. Me and my friend sat down, and I tried my friend's drink and commented that it wasn't sweet. Which is what she ordered, I didn't say it loud or nasty or anything that would excuse the following. The owner then yelled very loudly (I'm not exaggerating either) from the counter and asked very rudely if I didn't like my drink again, thinking that my friend's drink was mine. The entire coffee shop went silent, and it was very, very awkward. I was humiliated, especially since I was already embarrassed to ask for a redo. I stated that it was my friend's drink, which my friend responded and said that it was fine. She didn't say anything back other than a clipped "okay." I've been in the food service for a long time and have been a manager a few times as well. If I ever suspected that someone did not like what they had received I would come over privately and ask them. I understand that we all have bad days but it was highly unprofessional and embarrassing. Who would want to sit for another hour after you practically got yelled at for not liking a messed up drink. I will keep returning since their drinks are lovely, (especially their strawberry matcha!). The atmosphere is very cozy, and I'm happy to be a regular. I'm just hoping that the owner reflects on how she handles these type of situations for the future.
