I found this place in Yelp by specifically putting "cappuccino" in the Yelp search bar. After living in Florence, Italy for a while, finding a comparable cappuccino in the states is always a fun adventure for me. Most places don't quite hit that invisible bench mark I've set inside my head. I really like Saint--the coffee is excellent, and I appreciate that it's locally owned. Unfortunately, the seating situation has become a problem. A friend and I came in at lunchtime intending to order lunch and coffee, but we had to leave without ordering because there was nowhere to sit. About ten of the available tables were each occupied by a single person working on a computer. I understand that cafés can be comfortable places to work, but in such a small space, it would be helpful if Saint placed some limits on laptop use during busy meal hours. Customers coming in to enjoy lunch or coffee together should also have a reasonable chance of finding a table. I truly hope they address this, because I would like to keep supporting this lovely neighborhood café. read more

Tried this coffee shop for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Saint Latte, and it was the perfect balance of rich coffee flavor and sweetness. Talk about a new favorite coffee shop!! Oh my.. how have I not tried this place sooner?! Nor have I even heard of it lol. Dropped by on a weekend and had to park on the street like normal anywhere in LA. We walked down the street to find a very, very busy cafe and super packed but that's a sign, right? Absolutely. 100%. We hopped in line to order and a girl from afar complimented our pokemon shirts lol immediately put a smile on my face. We ordered and the drinks came out pretty quick! I used to live walking distance from this place and I'm sad I don't anymore! This is a great place to work remote. They have a lovely selection of pastries and drinks, and free WIFI for customers. I came in on a late Friday morning and the inside was fully occupied, mostly by folks working! I got lucky and found a spot on the bar outside (love the way that bar is designed--you can rest your bag or feet just below you without having to clutter the bar or put it on the floor). They were out of croissants today, otherwise I would've tried that! I got an unsweetened iced matcha americano (tasty) breakfast bagel (same thing i've tried before, it was undersalted last time but delicious today). The music is vibey and chill and the ambiance is very pleasant. The road noise does get loud when you're outside, but not bad if you bring headphones. I paid just under $25 after tax and tip for my matcha and breakfast bagel, and spent about 2 hours hanging out in their space (could've gone longer, but I don't like to linger too long after I'm finished when there are people waiting). I ordered the Matcha Cream Latte, which uses ceremonial grade matcha, but the flavor reminded me of a standard Starbucks matcha--nothing too special and not quite as rich or earthy as I hoped. The real highlight, though, was the Saint Breakfast Sandwich. It was phenomenal! Made to order and served hot, with fluffy scrambled eggs, tasty ham and cheese, and the most perfect croissant--soft, flaky, and buttery. I added avocado and it took the whole sandwich to the next level. The café itself has ample seating, a relaxed vibe, and the staff were incredibly kind and courteous. We live very close by and pass here all the time, but once I started seeing ads for it, I was curious to finally give it a try. My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. Somehow this morning was our very first time trying Saint! I'm so glad we finally got to stop in. We came in on a Sunday morning and the service was so fast! The coffees were delicious. I've been here almost a dozen or more times. The food is always fresh and amazing. The staff are kind and always willing to make a drink again if it wasn't to your liking. The Ambiance is both busy but peaceful given the time of day and hour. This isn't really big cons other then it does have parking but it's VERY limited so I would say street parking is the best. The shop its self it also small so it gets crowd fast but honestly not the worst thing. The staff is always fast and on it. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Water and a decent amount of outlets if you have your laptop to work with. All in all I really love this place. I recommend you give it a shot at least once! read more

My wife ordered an iced lavender Matcha latte with lox bagel. The staff is super friendly and extremely quick with getting everyone's order out. I used to not like this spot but I gave them another try and they are much better! My only problem is that they seem to make their drinks a little too sweet so with the right adjustments it can be really good. I got their Saint latte and I asked for an extra shot and half sweet and it was really good! I came by Saint's on an early Thursday morning ~ 7:45 AM and it was already popular, and only continued to have more customers as I left. There is both street parking available outside as well as a small (and tight) parking lot in the back alongside their back entrance to get into the shop. I had heard about this new(er) coffee shop in the Valley online and wanted to check it out after a morning hike. The shop has interior seating and wifi and it looked like there's a bunch of people who come and study/work from their computers here. It does seem like there might be some issues w people overstaying their welcome as there are 2 signs I saw that note you are required to have 1 drink to sit at a table if you are staying to work. Iced ceremonial matcha latte 2.5/5, okay so I really debated w myself on how to rate this. The matcha : milk ratio isn't bad but the ceremonial matcha they use tastes extremely nutty which is not my matcha preference at all so I did not enjoy my drink. I went on the weekend and it was so busy. However, the line moved quickly. I got their lavender oat milk matcha with cold foam. It cost a pretty penny but was one million percent worth it-- it was the best lavender matcha I have ever had. It has set the standard. I've gone back and gotten their cold brew and it was also superb. I have been drinking coffee for at least 30 years, lol, so I am a bit of a coffee snob. I visited during a bustling weekend afternoon, and while there was a small line it moved quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and I was happy to find an unoccupied table in their small patio area. I tried a seasonal cream pistachio latte; while I liked the showering of chopped pistachio nuts on top, the pistachio syrup used had a cloying and artificial taste.
