I took the dessert to go, and would continue to do that should I return. The staff didn't seem particularly happy to be there. It took them about 5 minutes to address me even though I was the only customer, which was a bit odd. Once I placed my order, my strawberries were freshly sliced which was nice. I got the chocolate strawberries with half milk and half dark chocolate. The dark chocolate didn't have much flavor, so I would stick with the milk chocolate next time. DRIP's Build Your Own Waffle is SO good. I'm obsessed and still thinking about it. The waffle was fluffy and had a nice buttermilk flavor. Crispy on the outside too! For $15 after tax for two people to share one of these phenomenal waffles is a steal. The dessert spot shares the dining room with 2 other restaurants, SALT burger and IDOF. The tables are a bit sticky and dirty, so I just cleaned it myself before sitting down. Regardless of that one complaint, my friends and I had a wonderful dessert hour together over yummy waffles. The actual place is a combination of the Drip Dessert Lounge on one end and a falafel 'chipotle' variation on the other end. At first, it's a little confusing because the all the decor is for the falafel place. But Drip is such a great spot to get a treat. You can build your own waffle or you can order one that's on the menu. They have ice cream, waffles, and churros. It is a little pricey if you are adding lots of toppings but I would come back just for the waffles and ice cream. It does take a few minutes for the staff to make your desert. The waffles are made right then and there so it comes out hot. Presentation and the actual desert was amazing. It is by no means fast and we waited a good 15-20 minutes for our order. Drip shares a space with a fast food falafel place and has replaced the papa beards that used to be there. So I got cappuccino cheesecake with dark chocolate dip, Oreo ice cream, and brownie bits. It was good! I think the concept is nearly there but not quite. What didn't work for me was the dip. It was fine in theory, but became really hard to eat with a fork. The taste was uneven. I would much prefer a frozen dipped cheesecake similar to what Eli's does at taste of Chicago. The person working behind the counter was excellent and really took time and care to prepare the dish. It was also quick for me as I got my food within 5 minutes. We hired Drip for their live station service for my daughter's 16th birthday party, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our party ran from 6-9 PM, and the ice cream station was scheduled to arrive at 7:45. At 2 PM (while we were in the middle of party setup), an email was sent saying they needed to push back by an hour. There was no follow-up phone call when we didn't respond, so we didn't see the email until much later. On top of that, there was an unexpected thunderstorm that forced us to move the entire party indoors, which made it even harder to check email. By 8 PM, when we realized they hadn't arrived, we called and were told they were pushing our time back. Since the girls were leaving at 9 PM, we had no flexibility left and had to cancel last minute.... I ended up scrambling to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cake so we'd have something to celebrate with. What was most disappointing was that the owner was unapologetic, blamed the delay on the storm (though the original delay notice was sent hours before the storm), and we were not refunded our deposit, leaving us out of pocket for something we never received. This was actually the second scheduling issue we had with Drip (our order was initially double-booked even after we paid the deposit), which makes me think this was another case of overbooking. I typically only write reviews when I have something positive to share, but I do feel it's important for others booking Drip's live stations to know what happened so they don't end up in the same situation.... especially for a time-sensitive event. read more

I will say it took quite some time for our food to come out but my boyfriend and I both agreed, it was worth it for sure. If you go expect to wait for a while. Everything is made to order and there is probably always a line. We waited in line and for our food for about 20 minutes. It was worth it though. You could create your own or get the pre determined ones on the list. Decent ingredients available. I do wish there were more fruit options. I think there was only strawberries. There are a few tables and a longer table to be more family style. A lot of people ate inside and other to go. It looks like they share space with another place so be mindful of that and seating. I had 30 mins left on my parking so I decided to go to a nearby dessert place for some ice cream. I had to add 10 more minutes to my parking... There was only three people working. No hustling. Just putting the stuff together at a calm pace. It took a few mins for someone to come and take my order, and it took about 15-20 mins before we got one of the three items we ordered. There was a whole group waiting for their shakes before us too. And I assume some customers were dining in and waiting for their desserts as well. It was like one guy worked on the to-go orders and the other two worked on the dine-in orders. The ice creams and shake were delicious though. I'll give them that. The waffle was freshly made so that's nice. We got our things to-go and it was put into cardboard boxes with a liner at the bottom. This wasn't ideal when the ice cream was melting and dripping out of the box. The shake, while delicious, was very small for something that costs $10 before tax. So if you want to make your money worth it, don't get the shakes. Drip just has a little section at the front to make their food. I think the main shop sells falafels since the decor is all about the falafels. Or it's just a shared space for the both of them. I'm not entirely sure. read more

Living the American dream they finally start a few businesses. This dessert lounge is one of them. They are still revamping their business model but eventually they want to create a safe fun place to relax after lunch or dinner. The servers did not have masks nor require vaccination cards. Came here after a play with a couple of friends on a Saturday night. When we walked in, we were pleasantly assaulted by the scent of sugar and waffles in the air. 10/10 smell to walk into. The place was busy and brightly lit. There is an exhaustive menu with limitless options- first you choose a waffle, dough cone (I'm not calling it the right thing, but that's essentially what it is), churro bites, milkshake, or another cake/pie slice. Then you have endless customizations- pick the toppings, pick the type of ice cream, pick what KIND of chocolate drizzle! They are not lacking in any of these. The three of us chose a molten lava cake, churro bites, and a milkshake. So between the three of us, we had the calories for about 10 people's full day of meals. But it was worth it! The churro bites were my favorite. Aside from the cakes, everything is made to order so it takes some time when they are busy. My milkshake was also delicious. Everything is priced at $10 and up, but they don't nickel and dime you once you pay the entry price to whatever you're getting. They include a generous amount of toppings without extra charge. My milkshake, which was two kinds of oreo, was $12 for about 16 oz. A bit steep. Overall 4 stars because it's definitely slow- it took about 20 mins to get all of our things- and for the value. They kinda have everything the same price, even though some things are much more elaborate than others. So if you get something not completely over-the-top (like a milkshake or lava cake), you're probably not getting a great deal. Even a waffle with the ice cream is steep at $12. It's still a waffle with a bit of ice cream and some oreos on top. A nice place to stop in for dessert but I probably wouldn't come too late at night when they get busier and slow down even more. read more

However, that's not what makes this place great or why you would come here. You come here to get some cool and fun ice cream creations. The time I went I tried their chimney cone, dipped cheese cake with pistachio ice cream and an ice cream sundae on a waffle called the berried treasure. I most enjoyed the berried treasure. It's one of many of their waffle based sundaes. The waffle was nice and soft and I loved the topping and how the ice cream would melt into the waffle. This was very sweet and sugary.
