    Strawberry hibiscus

This was a really solid after-dinner ice cream spot. We came with a big group, and they had plenty of seating for all of us. And the strawberry hibiscus ice cream was one of the best ice creams I have ever had.

Not my favorite -- pretty but not great. I got the special (Melona x Lychee) swirl in a cup, hoping for a yummy lychee flavor. It had an overpowering artificial flavor :( That was probably my bad though (I didn't realize Melona was a candy). Cups are more expensive than cones!

Fantastic prices for such a fantastic array of flavors. We have tried, lavender, matcha, black sesame, pandan, melona melon, and harajuku strawberry. Kurimu will be the only page I turn post notifications on for so I can be first in line once the next swirl flavors hit. I can't wait!!

Saw this place on TikTok and have been wanting to try it. Super impressed with the ice cream! We were a bit confused on the menu at first, but the staff was super helpful in explaining everything to us. We sampled a few flavors before making out pics. One thing that stood out to me is that the name of the flavor is exactly how the ice cream tastes. I for the black sesame and PB&J and it tasted exactly like a PB&J with a hint of sesame. And the cone really tasted like lavender! Fun flavors that taste exactly like the name. The vibe inside was very inviting. There were a couple groups hanging out. Looks like a nice cafe to spend some time and there was wi-fi too.

i wanted to get a sweet treat to celebrate my 3 yr anniversary in chicago and kurimu is really close to me so i just grabbed a more elaborate ice cream situation than i usually would. honestly it was good but it wasn't great. i got the oreo matcha which i just didn't like - i think because i just don't like matcha which tastes a bit like dirt to me and the ice cream wasn't sweetened at all. the birthday cake was good but nothing to write home about. overall for the price i dont think it was worth it. the girl who checked me out was rly nice tho and i do like how spacious it is inside , theres plenty of seating

Delicious soft serve & it's a pretty large space so seating isn't an issue. If you've never been before, I'd recommend reading reviews online prior cause the menu is a bit confusing. We got the seasonal flavors then you can get tapioca on top. Location is kinda awkard since it's on a busy street - but nonetheless, we love the dessert!

Very unique flavor options for both the ice cream itself and the waffle cones. You could easily come here many times and continue to try something different every time. The staff was very friendly! They allowed us to try samples, and helped a lot when we asked for recommendations. There were a lot of flavors like Purple Yam, Banoffee pie, and black sesame that I had never seen or heard of as ice cream flavors, so samples are always nice before deciding! Plenty of tables and seating to enjoy your treat there if you didn't want to take it to go. We had to pay for street parking which was unfortunate, but it was definitely worth it!

We did the make your own and it was around $12 - u get lots of ice cream though and the ice cream itself was tasty. You can order through a screen or there is someone to help if need be.

    Mango Mochi Parfait

Kurimu opened in Lincoln park this year and I was so excited for a warm day to get some ice cream! Their space is modern and pretty cool. I liked the multi-level bench which was fun to sit at some non-traditional seating to eat. Even though the guy making the ice cream was right there, you order on the iPad system which felt a little odd considering if you wanted a sample, he had to get it for you. They have both soft serve and regular ice cream, but there is nothing standard about their flavors which I loved! The unique range of options made me want to try everything. I sampled the purple yam which was delicious and unique and I'd like to come back and order it. I was in a soft serve mood so i got the special which was a mango mochi parfait. I think their soft serve flavors are rotating as I've seen them have matcha and ube soft serve in the past. I am usually prefer chocolate over fruity when it comes to ice cream, but I really enjoyed this! It was quite unique and refreshing. Their prices are a little high for ice cream, but I enjoy the uniqueness of the space and flavors.

While visiting town for a work event, I spent $40 on Ubers so that I could come and try the Miffy ice cream while the Miffy collaboration is still going on. I say worth it. The mango sticky rice ice cream I was recommended and got is some of the best I've had yet. It had what tasted like pieces of soft mango mochi in it, which gave it a nice chew. I was the only customer, which surprised me, because this place is so cute and even has WiFi, so it would be a great place to come study or hang with friends.

Purple yam ice cream with red velvet cone (in front) and lychee ice cream with matcha cone (in back)

They were unfortunately out of the swirl yesterday when I went, but I tried some of their ice cream flavors (they let you sample them before you pick) and they're all so good! I got the purple yam with a red velvet cone and my friend got the lychee with a matcha cone. Both cones did taste like their respective flavors which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back! Service was also really good, since I'm a very indecisive person...they gave me plenty of time to choose a flavor. Much appreciated :)

Excited to hear this shops opened nearby. They have a mix of a number of different ice creams and I went for the Nutella flavored option. It was decent, not great as I would have liked a more flavorful taste. Service was so-so. Friendly but didn't really help with recommendations or explain what they were all about. Finally, I thought it was pretty expensive for what we got. Close to $10 for soft serve is not in alignment with other places nearby.

It's a small shop, haven't been to this location in a couple years but it's pretty easy to get in and out when you're in the area. Street parking of course but the service is always quick. There's not much seating inside so many just pick up orders and leave. They have a super cute special for kids, they will make any scoop into Miffy. The ice cream is always really great. We got their specials Ocean mint and Harajuku strawberry soft serve, highly recommend trying them.

There are a wide array of sundaes to choose from; I got the Margie's famous raspberry hot fudge sundae, which was so yummy; the fudge came in a little turreen on the side and the sundae itself was served in their signature clamshell dish. My husband got a chocolate chip cookie sundae, served in a big glass bowl. There are also shakes, malts, phosphates and other treats to choose from on their menu, as well as a case of homemade candies. The place isn't big and is rather crowded so we got an "eat and get out" vibe from the staff, which made me feel rushed (and who wants to hurry through ice cream?) Overall, though, Margie's has clearly been a Chicago favorite for a long time for a reason. Check them out.
