The service is unremarkable. The food. Ugh. Don't come here hungry. I ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich. They refrigerate it and then heat it in a countertop toaster. It was served scalding on the edges and cold in the middle. Not good. I also ordered a cinnamon bun. The cashier asked me if I'd like it heated. When they give you the option, that suggests you could eat it without heating it, right? Nope. It was cold enough to be hard in the middle. Garbage. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been upset with having a plain, single-note, burnt flavor in my mouth. Aesthetics are nice, but that's not what I look for when I want good coffee. Coffee isn't just coffee; it's an experience for your taste buds, to say the least. Maybe it's because I've been disappointed with a lot of establishments, but I didn't have high expectations from Dripp. How could I? It just seemed like your average coffee shop, but I was proven wrong. I ordered a single-origin Columbian bean for a pour-over, and it was exceptional. $8.50 is a high price, but I will gladly pay for it again. Well ... here goes nothing! So I have stopped by this location a handful of times over the last few years. Sadly, not because of their drinks per se but because of the ambiance. I know, I know. I'm a sucker for interior décor. SIDE NOTE: I like to try something new every time I come here - just in case, something wow's me. This time I tried their Madame Jasmine Green Tea and alas, another mediocre tea blend. To be honest, I did not taste any hints of jasmine and the green tea didn't give me the buzz that I needed. I definitely dig the overall vibe of the place, and the workers are all friendly and helpful. I ordered the Ravens dark roast coffee, and they brew each cup fresh. It can take a little while, but the fresh tasting coffee is sure worth it! If you have the coffee there, they give you a cute mug with a small carafe on the side. It actually amounts to quite a bit of coffee, which I'd never say no to. I also got the almond croissant, which had a nice flaky, crispy crust and delicious almond filling inside. It went very well with my dark coffee. They have quite a selection of other pastries, so I'll have to try some of their other stuff next time. There are plenty of tables where you see people on their laptops or studying. I brought my laptop, and the wifi was pretty decent. I was able to be productive - the environment is lively with good background music, but it's not so loud that you can't concentrate. Been here a few times pre-covid and made a return since forever. I love dripp for their outdoor seating, plenty of tables including standing tables. There is also indoor seating. There's free WiFi and bathrooms were open. We went on a Sunday so it was pretty packed but thankfully the tables were pretty well distanced. I got the vanilla latte and it didn't taste as good as I remembered. There wasn't a strong vanilla flavor and it tasted like it was sweetened by sugar packets which I'm not a huge fan of. Except the chain ones that there is nothing special about them except being convenient, every coffee shop has a story to tell through the coffee that they serve, their coffee art or through their ambiance. The inside is super cute and don't have to worry about parking because they do have a free lot right behind the store. I have been here a few times in the morning and most of the time the couches are already filled. But I do like to sit on these high chairs that are made of wood. Don't worry if you don't like regular milk due to it having dairy they have dairy free options such as soy which I have used here and it taste pretty good. What I've ordered here is their lavender latte and also a rose latte. Both are super pretty for pictures and they also taste super good. Today was my first time at Dripp. For starters, their customer service was amazing. I've visited a decent amount of cafes with employees who would just brush me off as I struggled to pick/order a drink, but Dripp was far from that. The employee who helped my brother and I select our drinks was beyond helpful - she described the process of how the drinks were made, what was in them, and what we could expect from the flavors of the drinks we asked about. We ordered a Spanish latte and Turkish latte (both hot beverages). I'm typically not one for hot beverages, but I decided to try a Spanish latte hot and I loved it! Not overwhelmingly sweet, almost subtle with its cinnamon, but also not bitter. As described by the employee above, my brother's Turkish Latte [sweetened] was strong/bold with an herbal flavor and best after being stirred - he enjoyed the quality of his drink as well. I wish I didn't feel so compelled to write this review but I am so disappointed in the type of service I received at Dripp today, on 07/16/23 @ 11:10-ish AM. Typically, my bf & I visit multiple times a week and experience friendly service! Namely, Elise and Grace are exceptionally friendly and kind! For the past 4/5 months it's always been a pleasure to start our mornings at Dripp. However, today that was not the case, we experienced unacceptable service from the cashier team member (tall female with long ginger/orange hair clipped up in a claw clip). When she took our order we informed her that we visited yesterday -- ordered 2 drinks & croissant, and we didn't receive our croissant. Therefore, we wanted to ask if we could get our pastry now. Yesterday, there was a new team member (male with black/ red dyed hair, wearing a black leather bracelet with spikes), clearly in training. He had quite a bit of trouble taking our order and processing it into the POS system, he even had to grab Emily for assistance. After our order was settled, we sat down and waited. Usually, our pastries come out before our drinks.. but yday, we waited a solid 10mins before our drinks came out and then left. We hadn't realized we left without our pastry until much later. Now, yes it is our mistake to have left without asking for an update on our pasty. But at the same time, I can't help but think it's unreasonable to have waited 10mins for a pastry to be warmed. Also, another part me can't help but wonder if our pastry was even put in the toaster oven or if it was forgotten, since the new team member did seem distressed / out of it and we don't remember seeing him put it in the oven. Back to this morning, when we informed the cashier, she looked confused until l pointed at the team member from yesterday and said "he's actually the one that helped us yday, can you ask him?". She dragged her feet to go ask and seemed very annoyed as she walked back. Without saying anything to us, she typed something in the POS, opened the pastry fridge, and begrudgingly said "do we EVEN have anymore more croissants". Then she grabbed the almond croissant, put it in the oven, turned back around to us, and began to read back our order. I said, "yes, but he needs to order", motioning to my bf. She then raised her eyebrows as he ordered. We finished paying and as we're both walking away from the counter, she rudely says "be sure not to leave without your croissant this time". I would have understood it as a joke if she was at least smiling/ laughing/ or REMOTELY friendly during our full interaction. BUT it was clearly uncalled for and absolutely inappropriate as she was the most sour person in the room. Now this wasn't even the last straw for us, as we were waiting for our order, my bf realized that our drinks were on the counter and our pastry was ready, however, the name they called out was "Teresa". We have no idea where she got the name "Teresa" from but to me, it seems as if she purposely used a completely wrong name? Luckily, my bf was paying attention or else we would have been waiting for one of our names to be called, for who knows how long. By this time, my bf and I are looking at each, absolutely confused. We have no idea what we did to upset her or to deserve this type of treatment. I am so bothered by the entire situation that I have to say something. I ask for Emily, motion to the cashier, and simply ask "is she ok?" To which, fairly, Emily responds with, "I, I don't know?". Quickly and shortly, I explain that we had 3 instances of attitude from her and we're just so confused. Emily offers a macaroon for damage control but we politely decline. I'm sure we'll be back this week as this is our usual coffee shop, however I am quite discouraged from coming back knowing that there is a slight possibility of seeing the same ginger haired team member again. I'm writing in hopes that this experience will be internally addressed and that this specific team member will receive some type of refresh on customer service training, so that the next time we see her again, we don't leave with a bitter taste in our mouths. As for the pastries, we typically order the ham & cheese croissant, which goes fast but well worth the trouble of waking up a little early for it. It was our first time trying the almond croissant, which was just ok, or maybe I didn't enjoy it as much because it was half burned and I had to flake off the black parts/ burnt almonds. TLDR; Coffee is good! Ham & cheese croissant is GREAT! Service is a hit or miss. I hope that everyone gets lucky and encounters Elise or Grace because they are def Dripp's MVPs. read more
