My boyfriend brought me here since I couldn't get cheesecake for my birthday. As the girl brought out our order she realized she didn't charge (or make) my boyfriend's cheesecake, we didn't realize since the price was already outrageous for what we were charged, we ordered two circus animal cookies and were told the bottle of nesquik milk was included with each cookie and to our surprise when looking at the receipt to see if we were charged for his cheesecake we saw a $6.50 for the nesquik. If we knew we were going to be charged extra we wouldn't have agreed to it since we didn't want to waste $7 on some damn milk. The place has a typical youth sport vibe nothing special to it. Cheesecake taste wise it wasn't good, the outside was understandably too sweet (I ordered the strawberry one) the cheesecake itself was kind of flavorless and like a whipped cream kind of consistency, it was also frozen in the middle. My partner has yet to eat his and we have yet to try the cookies. For big cheesecake fans, you KNOW good cheesecake, and this is GOOD cheesecake. This is arguably one of the best cheesecakes my mother and I have ever had, and she literally used to judge cheesecake competitions at the county fair. Now, keep in mind this is a traditional cheesecake, which is less sweet with a stronger sour cream/cheese flavor. Something people who are used to the grocery store cheesecake wheel might be surprised by. But this is the type of cheesecake I think real cheesecake lovers wish they could find, but is really hard to find done well. Coupled with the dipped chocolate, it adds a bit of crunch and added sweetness which I didn't know I needed till I had it. I honestly really want to know who makes the cheesecake base here especially, because wow. I understand but completely disagree with other reviewers talking about the sour cream cheesecake flavor, this is REAL cheesecake; this is what a cheesecake made by a New York grandma tastes like. This is not the pre-frozen pizza restaurant cheesecake but it's not meant to be. This is a New York style high cheese content, creamy, rich, sour cream based cheesecake. It is outstanding. Whomever makes this cheesecake base, do not change a thing, it may not be for everyone especially for someone only used to the mass produced cheesecakes, but it's BETTER and the perfect balance. Inside this location is both Dirt Dog AND Drips, so when you're there, you have to get food (Smashburgers, loaded fries, bacon wrapped hotdogs, etc.) + their cheesecake on a stick. SUCH a cool concept, and the workers are so friendly/will talk you through their menu! Drips' cheesecake on a stick was fantastic. They have 5 core flavors and rotate the 6th "mystery flavor" out every so often. This time, we got the Strawberry Shortcake and Ferrero Rocher flavor. I heard about this business on Facebook a couple f weeks ago and had to check it out! Before we even entered this location, we were impressed with the decor. It has a sports bar setting. Upon entering we were greeted in a friendly way, which was nice. There was music playing and several televisions on tuned in to different sporting events. While ordering, expressed that we were there for dessert and coffee. The young lady who took our order explained that they didn't serve coffee. That was a bummer, but theres a Starbucks in the nearby Vons market and a coffee bean just in walking distance, within the same plaza. I got the fruity pebbles cheesecake, and my husband chose the strawberry shortcake. I love watching the employee create this wonderful dipped cheesecake, masterpiece right before my eyes. She boxed it up and brought it over to the table. Upon opening it and having a closer look at the, they were like little masterpieces that were almost too pretty to eat. Hubby and I both enjoyed our desserts. My fruity pebble cheesecake was super delicious, but that strawberry shortcake won the prize... And that will be the one that I will get on the next visit.
