Many non-dealer shops really do inflate their jobs, then get you with finding "more" things to fix that are hard to self detect or see, especially with older cars that have lots of mileage. Renson might not be cheap, but call it fair pricing for professional work that gets done right, no hassle. While the car is being evaluated and worked on, they always give timely calls to update me if things come up. I've had our car towed to the shop for unexpected issues and they were able to turn the car around in a day. Like with any car repair, ask a lot of questions, Renson does a good job of honest answering for anything I put to them.

It failed elsewhere 6+ months ago. In the last 1 year and 3 days I have spent more than $5777 at the dealer because of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) quality errors and fixes... Why the dealership? Because of the 2 year warranty. The DEF smog equipment is a sore subject that is NOT related to this business. At Premium Auto Repair Center, once I explained what I was going through and showing over 1/4" of invoices, they gladly took the time to check the OBD and share the results with me each time I stopped in/by. A shout out to the owner and all employees for your assistance and today it passed the smog check. As a side note, to avoid high emission output the ECU/ECM limits the truck to 55 mph and then limits the truck to 4 mph (so it can be loaded on a flatbed tow truck)... This state is a joke!

Dishonest business. I'd hear stories about shops that will lie to customers to upsell unnecessary…read morerepairs and thought those were exaggerated, sad to say that this shop is one of those. I went in for an oil change and to ask some questions about the routine maintenance. They were helpful at first but quickly changed the tone of the conversation into serious/urgent to flag "needed" repairs. First they told me that my front tires were balding and close to 1/32 tread, needing replacement almost immediately. I thought this was odd because I replaced those tires no more than a year ago. I don't drive aggressively and I've made sure my alignment was correct. I included photos of both the flagged tires to show they are nowhere close to 1/32. Then they told me that the rear shocks also needed to be replaced because one of them was leaking. I'm aware of what a leaking shock looks like, but I wanted to trust them. I confirmed with 3 other shops that they were fine and not leaking. Together these would have costed me over a thousand dollars in unnecessary repairs, leaving me extremely disappointed and frustrated with this shop. The oil change was fast/proper. I no longer trust this location anymore and think others should be aware of what they're doing
