This place looks pretty simple from the outside, and even when walking in, it didn't look like much, especially because the place was empty around 9:30pm on a Sunday (day before MLK holiday), but more people came later. Also, during the night, I began to notice the various random pieces of art on the bar shelves and on the walls, which along with some dim lighting, added great character to the place. It's a cozy bar that serves beer, wine, and coffee, so we shared 1-2 bottles of wine (the Bordeaux and Sangiovese) and both were really good. I came with coworkers and another friend, and we took up two of their three tables inside. Luckily, they have some bar seating too, so other guests were able to use those. They had live jazz here this past weekend (which they do every other Sunday), and the band produced an enjoyable performance throughout the night. But the music was really loud, like club volume, so it was hard to have conversations in there... but maybe it's better so people can focus on the music!?! Either way, this was a really laid back spot, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience. read more

Khon and his lovely family are the sweetest folks. Last night, my gf's car got towed from the side street (there are new "no parking" signs along Drew, so Givral's lunch-goers, watch out!), and as we stood there, baffled and scratching our heads, Khon took notice and walked from his shop all the way over to the distressed damsels and told us about the recent towing action going around. "Why didn't you guys just park in my lot," he asked. And then he invited us in a for a free beer as we sadly awaited our cab. Five stars all around, Khon. I came here happy to finally find the time to stop by one of my favorite places nestled away from the other midtown ruckus to find you empty on a St. Patricks day with an semi empty place with no atmosphere. It's St. Patricks day, everybody's busy!..except.... Long gone when I jotted a review years ago I remember the warmth welcoming vibe that I got here, the cute little kid that was running around ( do not care for other people's kids but this one was an exception, cute!) and the guy behind the counter that would suggest and happily serve me? I felt like I got thrown into a parallel universe and visited the dark side of Khon by walking into a bar with no life, no music. My friend wanted something sweet and I told her that they do not have spirited liquor here but let's ask if there is something alternate. A Moscato was produced and I ordered the $1 beer. The Moscato was great for her but the $8.50 I felt might have not been such a steep price if I were somebody else but maybe that's the going price but did not seem right. The $1 beer was great except that it was almost room temperature if not 65 degree if best. After feeling that I got the price bumped up for me and not even a "Hey how are you liking the beer" or even "would you like another round?" which I wouldn't have mind having another we brisky left with our heads down in shame for not running back out when already feeling awkward about the setting. This is not in any way attacking your business khon and I think based on all of the great 5 star reviews including mine earlier that still it was just an off night and that you took the night off to celebrate.......but your replacement just didn't seem to hold up to your standards I remembered from here. I hope to visit you again to quell any cues that might have happened last night but till then maybe I'll see you in another couple of years. read more

I know it's only been a couple of days since I've been here but it is already for the 5 star upgrade. The first time I came it was late and before closing. This time I came during the middle of the day and I was able to meet Khon's wife Ashley. She is super sweet and wonderful! This time they even had the mango tea! It was so good I killed a whole carafe. During the days its more quiet and I got some good studying in. Also the place I ordered my lunch was too packed so I took my lunch here. They allowed me to bring in outside food and have my meal here. The problem with studying here is Ashley loves to talk! And this isn't a bad thing. It's nice to see the owners of a place genuinely care about their patrons. I simply fell in love with this joint and will be back to celebrate with wine and beer this time. On week nights, it's probably just Troy or Drew and they're awesome too! They host poker nights on mondays and periodically will have art shows and sushi/wine tasting nights. This is a really laid back and chill dive bar (wait did I just use the word "chill"?). A little too much in fact and reminds me of how a lot of places in the Montrose area used to be say 20 years ago. Admittedly, I didn't really fit in that well in those places either which I attributed to my being "too young" and even as an old guy, I still feel a bit too young to be here so it may be one of those "it's not you, it's me" kind of things. From what I've heard, they have bands on the roof, but the 3 times I've been here, it's mostly been on a very quiet night for my late artist friend's birthday or a geek gathering. I like the location and lack of douche-baggery that's prevalent in mid-town, I do think they need a little more work in distinguishing themselves to be appealing to the general public. A lot of people I like are fans of this place so they must be doing something right, but I want a reason to stop by here the way I do for my favorite Montrose places. read more

I thought I'd start the year off right by writing about my favorite bar in Houston, Khon's. This is the only bar in Houston that I could see myself being a regular at, not out of proximity or inoffensiveness but because I just like it that much. Khon's would have had me at their great beer selection (Abitas and Belgians galore!) and superlative Vietnamese coffee. I live for both so Khon's was going to get four stars from me no matter the transgressions afterward. However, there have never been transgressions. In fact, it is the one bar in Houston that has not only exceeded my expectations but even opened my eyes generally to why people become bar regulars. Khon's is truly unique in terms of its completely unpretentious but cool atmosphere, broad cross-section of Houstonian patrons and excellent jukebox selection. Prior to visiting Khon's, I used to think of jukeboxes as antiquities that were of avail for embarrassing oneself. Khon's jukebox selection is not pandering to any specific clientele, attempting to forge exclusivity or full of Alvin and The Chipmunks. It is just focused on quality music, whether it's David Bowie, the xx, The Flaming Lips or Chicago. Khon and one of my two favorite bartenders in Houston, Troy (the other being my "older brother" Jay at South Beach-more on him in a forthcoming review) inimitably hold the fort down here. I have never found any bartenders or owners elsewhere who are as warm, kind, tasteful and fun to talk to. After chatting with him, Troy feels more like an old friend that I come to grab drinks with than a bartender. I loathe this phrase but Troy, if you are reading this, I heart you. Khon welcomes everyone with familial warmth. While I immediately knew Khon's was special upon the first visit, it was on Thanksgiving that I realized just what a gem Khon's was. Feeling slightly deranged from cabin fever and family time, we headed to Khon's on Thanksgiving after Troy answered the phone. Unbeknownst to us when we arrived, the regular patrons were holding a potluck Thanksgiving dinner at the bar. We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner against the backdrop of Midtown, replete with love and kindness. Thankfully, I had my mom's guacamole to contribute. After all, don't you always travel with your mom's guacamole? That's a separate aside. It was a big hit though. I think that night spoke to just how special Khon's is to foster love and a strong sense of community amongst such a diverse group. That to me is uniquely Khon's-and uniquely Houstonian. There's really no bar that better represents the essence of Houston like Khon's. It is imperative that you stop here for a beer or coffee, whether you're a dweller of our fair city or passing through. It is what Houston is all about, in my book. read more

With an extra-fabulous atmosphere filled with art work, diverse crowd, and a smooth glass of pinot noir, I can assure you that local jazz players and your favorite DJs will be seen at this spot! I've fallen in love with Khon's in the few short weeks that I've been aware of its existence. It is hard not to. I mean, you get the personable owners (along with their adorable-beyond-words daughter), the great service, plenty of parking, support of locals, dart boards, and just a touch of fun with the whole Texas/Louisiana obsession. Khon's does not have liquor. Khon's does not have Bud, Coors, Miller. However, Khon's does have beers from just Texas & Louisiana (any Abita lovers out there?), some tasty wines and champagnes. Not to mention that he hosts plenty of parties that let you get a taste for cheap. Khon's also supports local artists and currently has an exhibit of Tierney L. Malone's pieces. Now, let me get to the real reason I love Khon's so much--my newly acquired obsession takes me to dart bars all around Houston. When I found out that Khon's was going to have TWO teams this season in my same league, I knew I had to check it out. Sure, the boards are a bit cramped, but it makes it a bit cozy and it is fun to have the intensity level all around. My team lost to one of Khon's teams (The Wrath. . .get it? Khon's Wrath! Ha!), but we're gonna be on our A game against his other team (The Hooligan's). All in all, if you're looking for a chill, laid back place to work/study (they have free wifi) or meet up with some friends for coffee, beer or wine, then Khon's is the place to be. Evidently they have music there pretty often (and a poker night!), but since I haven't been, I can't comment on it. Go and check it out! read more

My new neighborhood bar! I love it. So, kinda funny that I ended up there coincidentally 'cause my friend wanted to check out their darts scene, I was looking for a new 'wine' bar, and we happened to find the same place around the same time we were telling each other what kinda place we were in the mood for. Wine, darts, coffee? What more could you want? Well, there's much more, trust me -- keep reading. We go there, and it's true that if you're throwing a game on the second line, it could get a bit awkward. That's the only thing that could drop the star-rating, but it doesn't even matter. And, other than that, the place was priceless -- including the price-less prices! Now, I haven't met Khon's wife yet (although, I think after this review I may just hop down the street to say 'hello!'). But, Khon, man that guy makes you feel at home the minute you walk through the door. It's got this oddly overpowering, orange tea? fragrance when you walk in. But, that fades when you're there more than 5 minutes. $1 off drinks on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Last Thursday of every month is a wine tasting with sushi-night (SEE THE UYE that CORY O. JUST POSTED!). Free Wi-Fi. Coffee looked very gourmet, and the tea looked awesome. Two dart boards -- the only thing missing is a pool table (no room), but I actually really liked throwing at a board there (and I did okay, to boot!). And, a friendly regulars crowd (they're not at all the "get out of my bar, who the hell are you!"-kinda people, y'know?) Now, if you're lookin' for a Bud Light, go somewhere else. They have about 20 specialty beers from Texas and Louisiana, ONLY! But, I was impressed at the Abita selection, the Blackened Vodoo -- not to mention the Turbo Dog on tap! Decent wine selection, but Khon's changing all that with new inventory after you come to the UYE on July 30 to help drink him out of stock!! And, they couple the art of local/up-and-coming artists with their scene... makes for a nice and eclectic and comfy feel. We asked if they served food, not because we were hungry or planned to stay for dinner (wait till my next review -- OMG!). And, the guy says, "Well, I don't have a menu. But, I got a grill outside. I usually just fire it up every night and grill up some dogs and burgers for whoever's here!" What?!?! Yeah, if you can call a bar a truly second home, then it's Khon's house! His place, it's a bar, sure. But, they're so a home, I almost didn't even want to leave -- think I'm gonna end this review and go back... home! Check it out!... Oh, but if you're the 40th person to walk in the joint, sorry... they have, like, some 49 occupancy rate. So, I don't want you takin' my chair up, right! By happenstance, I pulled into Khon's this evening to get a cafe sua da. I had forgotten to include it in my to-go order at Huynh's and it was already too late to turn back, and Givral's was closed. Milam St. on a Tuesday evening, after 9PM is practically a ghost town, that is, until you venture into Khon's. Khon was out front tending a grill with a small group. His wife was inside, tending the bar. She is super friendly, genuine, and nice. While I waited for the cafe sua da to drip (Vietnamese iced coffee takes a lot of patience), she entertained me with stories of their daughter, how she and Khon met, and just general chit chat about the place. Though she was easy-going, she was also very conscientious of the customers and made sure everyone was pleased with what they ordered. The bar offers a good selection of wine, beer (variety of Abita), champagne, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks (they have Mexican Coca Cola in a bottle here). There is free Wi-Fi and the bar stools ROCK. They have happy hour from 4-7PM. This little bar is a welcome spot on a pretty lonely street, after dark, in Midtown. So if you're in the area, stop in and say hello, you will feel so welcomed and will be glad you did. read more

If you're here to drink and you don't drink beer or wine...or coffee, you're going to be hard-pressed to find a beverage here. Not true, there's water. Oh, and Raspberry tea in a paper filter. It's gross - stick with the water or get a pot of hot water, then remember to just pull a teabag out of your purse, old lady. If you're here for a snacky, they sell the best potato chips in known existence. Voodoo Zapp's. They're Zapp's, then as if that weren't enough on the awesome scale, they take almost every seasoning (from five of their chips) in their factory in Gramercy, LA and coat the chips. They also have some terrifyingly interesting fruit flavored beef jerky that one of my cohorts says she swore by when she was knee high to a grasshopper. If you're not here just to chat and drink a bevvie, it's a nice place to take a load off and check out a local band (of subversives). Bands will start up around 9ish, just so you know. The layout is a little weird, it's a shotgun shape, so part of your view may be cut off by the edge of the bar, or people congregating around that edge. Just take it all in as ambiance. Listen, talk (if you can hear your table-mates). I wouldn't normally condone talking during a live performance, but this is also a coffee house coffee shop with a nook at the back and no perfectly clear view of the performers. The more i travel the midtown/downtown area i keep finding these surprisingly cool spots like Khon's. Yes they have wine, from their flavorful selection there is something for everyone. Of course there are darts, man. Darts rhymes w/ arts which sets a visually appealing aura creating more space in this small place. I dont drink coffee but if you do there is a veriety to choose from. Beeah, fazshow. I've come here to see an art show once which was waay phresch. On another occasion i've performed during a Toys for Tots Drive & had the honor of contributing to it's phreschness. Khon's kicks ass. There! That's all you need to know! It KICKS ASS. Okay, okay... details.... Why does it kick ass? You will never find more committed owners who are willing to 1) serve awesome food and beverages, 2) reach out to the community, and 3) support the arts. The space is clean and easy to relax in and they usually take advantage of the parking spots in front of their shop to place extra chairs and tables on sunny days. If you swing by on the weekends there's usually something delicious cooking. Expect anything from fantastic mussels to fabulous omelets or the latest in-season ingredient to inspire Khon. Interesting place to get yummy big crawfish! Seriously! I noticed this quaint place everytime I go eat pho and never really went in because I am not much of a coffee person or beer person. However, as my hubby and I were slurping up our pho noodles, we noticed that Khon's was setting up for a crawfish boil. We strolled over after finishing up at Pho Saigon and talked to Khon, the owner. He informed us that there would be ready for the crawfish boil at 3pm and that they were going for about $5 a pound. He even showed us the cooler and my goodness! These were really big crawfish! Nothing like you would get at other places. These were definitely the kind you could get a good amount of claw meat out of! Even though it was already past noon on this lovely Easter Sunday, my hubby and I could not resist. We told Khon we would be back. As we got home, we thought, let's see if we can get some crawfish to go instead of sit in the sun and eat it. So I called Khon's but no answer so I hung up. About two minutes later, I get a call back and it was Khon's wife! Wow, did not expect someone to call me back! So she informed me that they do allow to-go orders for the crawfish. Excited, I told her I would see them soon. Hubby and I drove back to Khon's at 2:45pm, since Khon told us that they sell out of the crawfish fast. We came with our small ice chest since we really wanted ALOT of crawfish. Khon recognized us and seeing our cooler, knew we were serious. We chatted with him and his wife as our crawfish was being measured out. Our little cooler held 8 pounds of crawfish, and then Khon threw in some sides of sausage, corn, and potatoes. Got home and devoured our ice chest of crawfish. Wow! Very good meaty crawfish and the corn was really good and spicy. I would like if the crawfish to be a bit more spicy, maybe next time I will ask for a sprinkle of seasoning in my ice chest before heading home. But overall, we were stuffed and satisfied. Okay, I lied about being stuffed. We did want to come back to buy more but since Khon's will be having a crawfish boil every weekend during crawfish season, we will wait and come back every weekend instead. I really think this is a cool place as I noticed they had interesting beers offered at the bar if you are into having a few cold ones. As for me, I like the fact that I can drive less than 2 minutes here and get BIG crawfish for a fairly good price. Khon and his wife are really nice folks. I like that they really went out of their way to make their customers happy. That's always a plus in my book! So Midtowners, you do not have to drive far for good crawfish! read more

Khon's is great. It's exactly what the name suggests and more. From live local music, art shows, DJ's, and poetry readings - Khon's is very supportive of its local community. I've been to two live music performances here and I was very surprised at the sound quality for such a small venue. I appreciate that the owner put some thought into creating good acoustics in his place. There's plenty of seating inside and out for a chill evening with friends to listen to music and drink some Abita strawberry beer. Usually on the weekends, Khon will be out front manning the grill, holding a crawfish boil, or serving up some awesome ettoufee. Unfortunately, the City of Houston is cracking down on bars that have no kitchen and so he is no longer using the grill. (BOO COH!) Rumor has it that Khon is still bringing crawfish prepared elsewhere for weekend crawfish boils. read more

I'm an Angelino, visiting Houston for some business. I was done in the early afternoon and I wanted to go to a place to sit down and study and found this place on yelp. It has free WiFi and I sat down and caught up on things for several hours without being hassled. This is an outstanding cozy little place. Ashley was lovely and very helpful. I don't normally drink wine and she let me taste some before I chose a wine. I also had a Vietnamese coffee earlier on in the afternoon that was rich and provided a good kick. Later in the evening, at 6 PM, there was live jazz, a delightful surprise given it was a Wednesday. If I lived here, I would certainly be back again. read more

Cool place; very chill, eclectic decorations and a mix of music playing from the jukebox in the corner. When I walked in on a Monday night the only other folks in there were a group of people playing poker (I think it was the owner + friends) and a guy with his computer looking like he was doing work so I'm guessing they have wifi. A few folks walked in as the night went on, they all clearly knew the bartender so this is a spot that definitely welcomes and has regulars. I had some house wine which was tasty, and cheap. The bartender was quick and attentive but otherwise left me alone unless I was either (a) done with my drink, or (b) trying to get her attention, which is EXACTLY how I like it. There's a TV, but it's on the wall behind you when you sit at the bar, so this isn't a spot to come to drink and stare mindlessly at the tv unless you put your back to the bar. I kinda like that. This is the place you go to drink and stare in the slowly (or quickly?) approaching bottom of your glass. Or to chat with the bartender or other folks who have moseyed up to the bar. Or just sit and work and be left alone. Basically: this is the bar you go to if being left alone is the default unless you want otherwise and then they're definitely there for ya, which is AWESOME in my opinion. read more

This is one of the most random bars I've been to. My boyfriend found it on Yelp and told me it was a dart bar and had great reviews. We walked and walked until we stumbled upon the strip mall where it is located (wierd). There were tables set up outside in the parking lot/sidewalk, and there were also people grilling out there (wierd, again). And they have darts? Really? We go inside, and order sake. What the shell is going on here? Sake at the dart bar? End up playing darts, putting money in the jukebox, and drinking sake and beer all night. Met some fun people and had a great time. Awesome. This is a very chill, laidback place where you can can enjoy a drink. I came here twice this week. On Tuesday night there was a small jazz band with a bassist and a keyboardist, and a group of people playing darts in the back. On Friday night there was an art opening with a DJ. Service was excellent both times I was there. The music is never so loud that you have to yell to have a conversation, it was very easy to meet people and talk with the crowd, and free WiFi makes this an awesome place for me to do some work if I ever need to. I had the opportunity to meet Khon the second time I was there.. What a great place; we need more places like this in Arlington, VA. Every time I'm in Houston on business I'll be sure to stop by here at least once. read more

We just dropped by their bar/coffee shop yesterday and met the owner and his father-in-law. They had just opened up the place and its quite nice. The interior decoration is pretty cool and they have a nice selection of wines. They also had a selection of Chinese pastries and free wifi. We hung around a little bit and threw some darts. Apparently Khon is on a dart team that does very well in the Houston area.... Its a funky little place in the same space where "Tropioca" used to be, but totally remodeled and worth dropping by. Unfortunately without a car and since it is not along my commute to/from work, I most likely won't be able to go there too often, I think its gonna be a fun dive in Mid-town. Khon's is my favorite wine/beer bar in the midtown area. It seems like every time we go we get a little more cultured as we sip our drinks and see performances from bands, poetry readings, and the occasional sax player. Khon and his wife Ashley are awesome! We were lucky enough to meet Ashley and their daughter on fathers day this year when we happened to have our daughter while standing outside of the bar after eating at Red Pier. Their daughter and my daughter became immediate friends and my husband and I enjoyed a lovely chat with Khon and Ashley while the kids played. They are some of the funniest, down to earth bar owners I've ever met and their child is adorable to boot. We've been here for parties on the roof (which are rockin) and just to duck out of the heat when we are in the area. They have a pretty good selection of beer/wine and if you get the chance try Ashley's sangria cause it's a winner. This was my first bar experience in Houston. There was a crawfish boil, a smoking jazz trio (Cory Wilson), and affordable and good wine served up by amicable and intelligent bartenders. That day I happened to bump into some old friends, even though I only know about 8 people in Houston, total. Outside, there was a fierce domino game happening with a diverse and international crew of people. I don't get to go to Khon's as much as I'd like but every time I go I am immediately reminded why I love this place. Aside from the great selection of beer, wine, and coffee Khon and his staff are simply amazing! I am always treated as if I am an old friend the moment I walk through door. I love and appreciate everything that Khon and his staff do to keep a comfortable, cozy, QUIET, and fun place to hang out. Furthermore, I am thankful that Khon and co. do all they can to keep the patrons feeling just as comfortable and safe outside as they (we) feel inside the bar. Anyone that is from Houston or at least visits this area enough would know that it is QUITE a task to keep that feeling with all the panhandlers and vagabonds roaming about. 20100520 thursday SO here's how it started :) I was hurtin' for some banh mi thit from Givral's only to [when I finally found it on my own bc I kept spelling it wrong when I texted google] find out it was 2000 [8pm] and they were closed. OH NOES! I had a long day. driving everywhere. an interview, filming earlier. places I wasn't familiar with [and I get lost VERY easily... my GPS likes to take me in circles and occasionally fritz every 50ft or so]. I was HUUNNNNNGRY. Ferociously so. The Pho joint across the way was closed. and the door btw was super ghetto... I'm a little glad it was closed for the day lol So there Khon's was-- standing in the early evening light, basked in the glow of lamps in the shopping square where it stood. I thought-- I really hope they have food. I was supposed to be there for a birthday last year, but didn't quite make it. So on top of my ferocious hunger... I was curious. :) [He said darts and I'm not a huge fan and I didn't forsee him as a darts kinda guy-- so I was mulling that over in my head as I stepped through the threshold.] Mood Lighting :) Real Talk. The joint is narrow, bar to your right, they have menus on the bar with their wine selections. You can order by the glass. They also have sake! I love sake, but I wasn't in an experimental sake mood. I smelled protein. So I went up to the bartender after taking in the scene and asked if they had food-- since I so CLEARLY smelled something potentially delicious. He [Marcus] told me that normally they don't serve anything outside of pastry but today was my lucky day because, 'there's a poetry reading later tonight. It's a monthly event we host,' and apparently they serve food at these events =D I AM ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC Today's menu: CAJUN DOG choice of chicken or beef dog with seafood ettoufee on top oh if you weren't there you missed out. SOOO GOOD. I then asked Marcus [after the owner so nicely served me the first dog of the night] what do you suggest I pair with my Cajun Dog? So he had me sample a few sauv blancs, after saying I should pair it with a white [probably due to it being mostly seafood :)] and not being a fan of chard-- I opted to try some of their sauv's before settling on Catalina Sounds Sauv Blanc. and after finding out that I'm a super big fan of big, bold tannic reds: I sampled at least 5 reds. LOL and the poetry readings started. It was a pretty epic evening. Pricing wasn't bad at all. maybe 15 ish for the glass and my dog I don't remember, honestly lol but I left happy after a slightly stressful day of driving and getting lost and having all the entrances to 610 that I needed being closed off. YAY KHON's and they have dart tournaments? The owner mentioned it but legit groups of people who play darts roll through there and there's local art that they have on the walls =) There's honestly something for everyone. read more

If you are in the strip center with the Pho Saigon in it that's across the street from the Les Givral's on Milam, then you are at the right place. The signage in this strip center is confusing because some signs for establishments are not directly over said establishments. The Khon's sign is not directly over Khon's but kind of next to it. Just look for some outside tables, and you're there. The interior of Khon's is sparse. From the name of the place, I suppose I was expecting a huge gallery of art exhibits mixed with a lot of dartboards on the walls. There were a few pieces of art on the walls and two dartboards. Caveat: my friend and I only stayed at the bar in the front, but there was a whole back area we didn't explore, so there could be a Botticelli or Banksy exhibit in the bank that I didn't see. But my subjective perceived dissonance between name and observation shouldn't deter you from visiting Khon's. The place is lowkey (and there's darts!), and there were several people there who, based on their interactions with the staff, are regulars. Plus, the bartender that night was a saki genius. He proceeded to tell me and my friend more than I ever wanted to know about saki. From history to tastes to preparation, the bartender was more than happy to share. read more

When we pulled up I had no idea what to expect. It's in a parking lot with things like an alteration store, tea, etc. It's so tiny! I loved this low key relaxin' vibe. The DJ who was spinning ( wish I caught his name) was really good. He was playing fun funky low key but still dancy jazz and blues. Marcus, the bartender, was amazing. Very personable, funny, and really loved giving suggestions. He poured me so many different taste tests and suggested other things I might like based on my taste and price range. He even told me about going on Monday nights when he has lots of different taste tests. I didn't get to play darts because of where the DJ was set up but I really didn't care. We took a deck of cards and sat out in the parking lot and played for a bit. I really enjoyed this place and I can't wait to go back. read more

Love love this place! I wanted a chill place to go to and have some drinks and be able to chat with this great guy I'm seeing!!! It was perfect for this night! I tried their Hellraiser Cab/Merlot blend and at first I thought the price was a little steep for a glass...but he filled that sucker pretty darn full..and I thank him for that! My guy decided to venture from his love of BudLight and try the Dixie beer from New Orleans, which he liked. The bartender seemed knowledgeable of what a Bud Light drinker would be interested in! THey have a great jukebox playing some awesome songs. They also have an area in the back with a couch to chill on as well as outdoor seating! Parking was great for midtown! Either you get it or you don't... It's a great locally owned bar...he has crawfish boils when they are in season. I have been to a few art openings there that were impressive. There are darts for those who love darts. It's a wine and beer mostly PLUS sake. On occasion, there is live music. Khon is always a kind host and his staff are very hospitable. read more
