Let me start out by saying the only reason I am even giving this place 2 stars is because of Michelle who has been extremely helpful in keeping me in the loop. Otherwise I would give this company zero stars if I could. On September 10th I received a quote for a blind. I was told by the salesman that it would take 4 weeks to make the custom shade. I told him I needed to talk it over with someone and I would call him back. I called back the next day to order the shade. They never called to say it was ready. On October 4th I called to get an update, which every time you call you will have to be transferred or told they will "call you back" the person answering the phone has no info. I was told the shade was done and they would "ask them to call and schedule an appointment" Finally on October 6th they called to schedule an install. The only date they had available was the 8th which was the only day I was out of town. I asked them to call me back the next week. The week came and went. No call. During this time I discovered there was paperwork for my building that needed to be done. I had that completed and called them again the following week. It is now October 18th and I am not home but my friend is and I am told by the building manager they will be allowed to do the install later that day. Michelle says they are in the building and will come install my shade. However, at the end of the day my friend informs me they never came. I call drop shades and am told they were turned away (I'm not sure who to believe here) but the building manager says that is not the case. At this point I am given a number to text Michelle who is a great help with my busy lifestyle as opposed to always calling. Over the next month I call repeatedly to schedule. Nothing. Finally I text Michelle. She tells me the week of December 10th. At this point it has been months and I'm starting to get really annoyed. The week of the 10th comes and goes with no appointment. Finally, after calling and texting repeatedly the shade is finally installed on December 17th. Needless to say, I will not use drop shades again. Their quotes for time are largely incorrect and they can't keep a deadline. Four months is way too long to wait for work and I shouldn't have to hound the company to install my shade! It's as if they don't even want business. read more

I used Dropshades 13 years ago then again this week. They installed high quality electronic shades in my condo. The bedroom and living room shades worked without any interruptions for 13 years! I contracted DropShades to install a new drip shade for my 5 piece slider living room door. Brandon made the process extremely smooth and was really helpful. Only issue was on install day. The shade had a few very noticeable blemishes on it. I contacted Brandon and after attempting a few corrections myself at their request, they determined that they would need to replace the shade. Two weeks to the day of them removing the shade they came back and set me up with a new one that looks great. Definitely recommend them as a company, and will be using them at my bars around town in the future! read more

Had DropShades install electric shades in my condo 8 years ago and they're still working great. You might get jammed up here and there if something obstructs the shade but they're pretty quick to send someone out to fix it for you. Good quality product - haven't had any motor or electrical issues with the shades in all these years. read more

Had to come in an write an updated review. I wrote one in Nov 2016 which is mysteriously missing...at that time I think I gave 4 stars. The shades were great, but the customer service wasn't. No shows for appts, etc. Shawn was really not very nice, acting on several occasions like I was being unreasonable when I wanted them to be on time. Or at least within the hour. BUT I have to admit, the product was great, so when I moved last month i called and said, "I want to use you guys, but you seriously have to be respectful of customer service. Either show up on time or call. That's all I ask. Do what you say you are going to do." They did. 100%. Joseph was right on time at 8:30 a.m. for our first appointment. When he had to come back for something, he called when running a little late. They gave me an install date, and guys were here at 7:50 a.m. I mean it is an amazing turnaround. Now their customer service matches their great product. Just be clear about your expectations...and make sure they are on the same page, and you will be very happy. read more

Brandon came to our home and gave a great estimate. We had 2 shades installed beautifully and now waiting for another 2 shades. Brandon reply's quickly with any questions or concerns we might have. Heavy winds last night, 60 mh, and the shades held up. It was a great unexpected test before contracting the last 2 shades today. He arrived right on time for the appointment, did a good job of showing me the company's products and what I could expect from them, and answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk with. He came back as the installation was being completed and got the shade motors to work after fixing a glitch on the wiring from the original shades. Love my shade! The salesman, Joseph, helped me make choices easier. It was fabricated and installed within about two to three weeks.

We have four very large sliders that we needed solar and black out shades for. We really wanted single panel motorized shades and went with Drop Shade because most window covering stores could not meet our desired setup. The shades are ok. We have only had them two weeks so I can not speak to the durability of the shade. The cords could be better concealed. Due to structural beams in our home, we could not have concealed electrical installed at the mount. The installers did the best they could do. Drop Shade's customer service is infuriating. Our sales process went fine but everything after that was down hill. The original design was to have two stacked cassettes. When the blinds were being manufactured, we were told that we would have one cassette that was a little larger than a single cassette. Installation day comes and they are installing two stacked cassettes. I reached out to the rep as they were installing and his response was "yeah it's the original design we talked about, the single cassette was having issues getting stuck". That is unacceptable poor communication in my opinion. I should have been notified the instant they changed the design back. Scheduling was absurd. I had to follow up twice to get scheduled. No one ever called me, I was simply texted a date. I was not provided an option of dates, I was just told your blinds will be scheduled on this date (which didn't work) and then there was more texting back and forth on getting a date. When I asked about a Saturday installation, I was texted "Never...M-F 8-3". Again unacceptable poor communication and customer service. No call or reminder confirmation of appointment. No call or follow-up immediately after installation to see if we were happy with the product. Two of our cassettes were not flush to the wall which is very noticeable when they are stacked. We received a text after installation "hoping that we were enjoying our shades" and to "coordinate to come by and finalize paperwork". I returned the paperwork within 7 days of receiving it yet I was followed up with TWICE within 7 days asking when I would get them the paperwork. The second follow up actually suggested that I "scribble" my signature on the picture of the document on my i-phone and text it back. Ridiculous. I would not recommend this company. Based on the customer service experience I have received. I hope I never have a problem with the shades because the thought of having to deal with the company again gives me a sick feeling. read more

There are not enough words for Drop Shade Company that installed our shades last month. In December we went to their factory and were greeted by Valerie who is very knowledgeable and professional. She answered all of our questions and then arranged for Cody to visit our home for the measurements and necessary paperwork to complete the project. Cody is very knowledgeable and professional as well, and is the son of the owner of the company which is an established "family-owned" company. In January we received a call that the shades were ready for install. Jose and Luis did the work and are very diligent workers and did a very professional job. They showed us the mechanics of the 5 shades and demonstrated the using of the remote. If I could rate this company a 100%, I would. Everything they mentioned, they delivered on their promises. It's been almost a year since Drop Shades installed the motorized blinds in our condo unit, and we're a happy customer. They were referred from the developer of this condo, so we were pretty sure they had enough experience with this community, but still. We have sheer a pewter fabric in the living room and a white blackout in the bedroom, both single undivided sheet that completely covers the floor-to-ceiling window. Their product's anodized trim suits pretty well with the color palette of the modern finishes. Also installed are two wall remotes and one hand remote. After install, we realized that we had a small side window that faces east that invites a beam of morning sunlight. We wanted something to block that, and they promptly brought a couple of inset panels that completely cover the window. It's great that they knew what type of unit we live in, and keep such a supply ready. It was all free follow up. Cost? $3800 for everything including the installation. read more

From Joseph's professionalism when he came to measure up to the excellent communication from the company, all early signs were good. But when you called to offer an installation date ONE MONTH earlier than originally offered, I was delighted. When the installation crew arrived, they were also the epitome of professionalism. They installed all seven of our large blinds in less than six hours, cleaned up all the mess, showed me how to use them - and boy, what a job they did! The shades exceeded my expectations. The installation is peerless. And as if all that wasn't enough, Joseph came back a few days later to check that the installation was perfect. I had this company install shades on my home about 8 or 9 years ago. Their product is excellent. Over the years I've had minor adjustments needed and they have always come out , fixed the problem, at no cost to me. Three weeks ago my 4 year old grandson lost one of my controllers. After 3days searching we gave up. Called Shaun. Two days later two fellows came out reprogramed a new controller, after several hours work, I could finally put all my shades up. NO COST. They may be slow sometimes in responding to your calls but they always called, at least to me. read more
