First off this might be a one off but felt I needed to share. Serves staff was fine however I walked out way worst off. I came in to get my iPhone 8+ cracked front glass replaced. The phone was fully functioning and The staff tried replacing it. After 90 mins I was told that when they tried replacing the screen the home button stopped working and they couldn't get it to work with my old screen. They told me that they can't do anything to fix it. The staff recommended I go to the apple store to get the screen replace and if they find they have to replace the home button that if I pay for it bring the receipt back and they would write me a check. 3 problems with their "solution". 1. The closest apple store is 45 miles away so not only did I waist 90 mins at the store, I'll have to spend another 60 mins getting my phone fixed after driving 2 hours round trip with traffic. 2. I have to front the cost of the home button replacement and then return to the store for them to pay me back. 3. Even though they were apologetic I was left with my phone they broke more and did not compensate me for the damage or offer store credit. Further more, after using my phone for a couple of days I've notice my phone not holding as long of a charge. The battery life had reduced down to less that 50% of its original lifespan. I have serous concerns that the staff replace me phones battery with an older one an plan to resell mine as a new replacement!!! I would read through the other bad reviews and take them seriously before going here. Sad to report this. read more

Um, lifesaver. Had a cracked screen (leading suspect is Alcohol--still at large) and am leaving town tomorrow. Before I could get my car washed at 5 Points and come back, my phone was done at DSF and looked brand new. Highly recommend! Update--my phone screen broke 3 more times within a couple of weeks for no good reason. They were nice about it (they put the glass on wrong twice) but all in all a pain. Go to UBreakIFix instead. MAJOR RIP OFF PLACE!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! They replaced the glass on our iphone5, only to have it crack in 3 places by the home button within 1 1/2 weeks. There was glue residue on the glass edges when we picked it up & the home button wasn't sitting right, it was offset. We took it back to show them & they accused us of dropping the phone & that's why it broke. No, the phone was never dropped, it was a faulty install on their part. When I picked up the phone today after their review of the cracked screen, there's now a screw sticking out that they didn't even finish screwing back in the phone! I pointed out to them that this isn't the first time that this has happened (the glass breaking within weeks of repair, as well as my other complaints - as I've now read many of the same complaints on yelp). They refuse to acknowledge their shoddy work & replace the glass. Their website says 100% Satisfaction Guarantee - WRONG, as well as to leave them a message & they'll give you a ring right back - WRONG! I have used DSF in Ventura since the day they opened for business a couple of years back. My most recent experience trumped them all. Long story short, tragically, my brother passed away 8/13. My Mom had her old cell replaced as it had water damage. She was distraught because not only did that old phone had all of my brothers photos, texts and emails, but his sweet voicemails to her. This is probably the worst serviced, slowest phone fixing place. They take days sometimes and actually the last time we went there some kid charged my dad five dollars more than the quote/amount my mom paid for already AND proceeded to cuss out my dad, calling him an as*hole just for asking questions. I cracked the glass on my Samsung tablet a few weeks back. The touch screen still worked so I figured I had a few weeks to quote around different repair shops before the tablet's vulnerability started causing more problems. While all shops told me that I had to buy the part myself (it's an uncommon model), Dropsmashfix was the cheapest by far. I brought the broken tablet and part at 9AM on a Saturday. My Ipad was frozen. It was totally unresponsive. It couldn't even be turned off. I took it to my regular computer repair store (Mitec) and learned they didn't work on Ipads. I've been going to this place for awhile now. I'm pretty bad with phones (smashing, breaking, submerging etc) which they have always been able to fix. Recently I have been a lot more careful up until my charger stopped working. I had to push the charger in crazy hard and pretty much leave it on its own weight to keep the charger pushed in. I came by and Daniel came out to help. He said usually it's not the charger, it's impacted with pocket lint. He got out his tool and pulled out out tons of lint!! Crazy! I would never of thought to check that. Plugged it in and the charger works perfectly now! He didn't charge me for a thing and also gave me a 10% off card for the next time I have a phone problem. I came in to get my screen fixed and needed it done pretty quickly as I need to use my phone for work purposes. Ask for Daniel! He was quick to answer all my questions and assured me the phone would be done in an hour even though they had multiple phones they were already working on. He was efficient and made sure my phone was looking and working like brand new by the time I needed to pick it up and he was right! I cannot say how terrible the service was. My iPad was completely useless by the end of my 3 month!!! experience trying to get the glass repaired. They took it in and said it would be ready that day. No call. Arrived to pick it up at the end of the day and it needed "more time". This went on for a few days. Always no call = the most terrible customer service. I asked to have it back, tired of getting the run around. Then the stories began about how the manager had to take it to some other shop to get it fixed. This went on for weeks. Multiple calls by myself and my husband trying to get a straight answer about where it was and when it would be returned. We never got it back. At least we did not pay to get the iPad stolen. I stopped by to find out what I it would cost to get my screen fixed and was told to come the next day. Show up and they don't have my screen. Then told to come in couple days. When I show up again. I tell them to call me on the cellphone number cause I can receive the call on my watch. Im in the middle of work - they text me and I don't get a notification cause it's form an unknown sender. Not there fault I missed an important business call, but didn't help that they didn't call like I asked. I took my Ipad mini in to see if they could fix it. They kept it a few days then called and said I had to pay a $15 deposit to order a battery. A week later I called to see what progress had been made and was informed that not only had no one called me but they couldn't fix it and no refund on the deposit. Brought my iPhone in for a charging port repair. They got the charging function to work, but shorted something causing terrible static when attempting a phone call. Another trip back, another hour. Finally worked. Couple of weeks later needed a new screen. Screen replaced but jumpy and touch response is all over the place. Auto capitalizes at random, cursor seems to have a mind of its own and somehow they disabled Siri. In addition, charging the battery takes much longer and it discharges much more quickly. It had been thrown into the marina by my son (cause it was dead) and stayed the night under the water.
