Between two people, we ordered drinks and Billy's seafood platter to share, which consisted of shrimp that you can choose the style of, fried cod and catfish, with hush puppies and cole slaw. We got the bang bang shrimp and they were on point. They were definitely our favorite thing on this platter with the size, texture, and flavor all hitting the mark. The two sides hush puppies and cole slaws were also good. The two fried fish was a little underwhelming, with the cod being a little under-seasoned and dry. The catfish was seasoned well and soft but had that sort of slightly fishy flavor to it. I liked having multiple sauces both on the platter and the table (there were a bunch of different bbq sauces, which I'm sure go better with their meat offerings) - the butter and the zing of the North Carolina hot sauce were our top two sauces of the meal. Definitely enough food for two people but I wish there was a bit more on there than just the cole slaw to suppress the greasiness of the fried fish. Service was great and they have a good sized parking lot as well. Can't say anything about their bbq since we had the fish platter but as soon as you get to the parking lot, you can smell the fire going!

What an awesome place to have in South Boston!…read more Darbys has easily become one of my favorite places to eat for many reasons. First and foremost, the food is always delicious. You have a great selection ranging from bar bites to elegant dishes. Their drinks are always great and include some of the best bourbon and whiskey selections, along with bartenders who truly know how to make a drink that kicks. I've been here with my husband as well as with my family and it's really a great spot for both. I am so glad a place like this is just 20 minutes from home and consistently great. If you haven't been to Darbys yet, you need to check it out! As a newcomer to the area, I can appreciate its history and the absolutely stunning grounds of Berry Hill that it's located on. This place is a true find. Highly recommend and will be back again!

The menu had several offerings from which to choose, chicken wings, blackened chicken nachos, southern crispy chicken, salmon BLT, River Road burger, catfish bites, Bang Bang shrimp, Brisket sandwich, southwest salad, berry salad, Caesar salad, & garden salad, and pizza!! The service was a friendly and the ambiance that of a tavern!! We ordered the shrimp scampi and brisket sandwich!

I can neither…read moreconfirm or deny if farting happened, but this time review coming more quickly so I can include some details. I love that they have a 1/3 rack rib option, as a small eater. I ate half of it and half of the delicious potato salad. It also came with hush puppies, which were just ok - a little doughy for me. My husband got vinegar based pulled pork and baked beans and he thought they worked well together. I prefer the KC bbq sauce to the other options, the tomato bbq sauce tasted more like a sweet weak salsa to me and I personally don't care for vinegar. I think I'd probably order the same thing again next time, though I was a little curious about the burgers (which come either as double 2oz smash burgers or a 5 oz regular burger for a small upcharge.) They also have lots of desserts that sound good but we didn't try any this trip. They have Cheerwine!

It's now officially a tradition y'all ... a van load of folks from the north (New Jersey to be…read morespecific.) travel to Kentucky on a mission trip with the reward being an incredibly delicious meal at Three Li'l Pigs Barbecue on our return trip. We discovered Three Li'l Pigs perhaps because it is conveniently located off of I-81 whether you are traveling north like us or south. So, you travellers this is a location for some GREAT Q!! I've lost track of how many years we've stopped but we've had Ginger wait on us more than once. You've got to start with the fried pickles but after those are devoured just go your own way. Sauces are fantastic but the hot is HOT (I buy bottles for home every year because I love superb hot sauce with a kick!). Not even sure where to start on the food so let's just say it's all delicious ... service is wonderful... the outdoor patio comforting ... And, if you are like me you hate getting back on the road but we will be back next year!! Oh, don't forget to buy a bottle or two of their peach ketchup you'll use it up by next year!! Oh ... FYI there's a "KID MENU" for kids 12 and under AND 65 & over that includes a lil pig bbq sandwich and more!! Great idea for older kids with limited budgets who are not that hungry.
