I waited over an hour for a simple flat tire fix, only to be charged $35, far above what I've ever paid, especially for a quick fix that many other places offer complimentary. My dad went here for a state inspection on February 26, 2026 around 4PM and their employee drove his truck into the wall and scratched his truck. They were able to wipe some of it off and there are minor scratches but it shouldn't have happen at all....for a simple state inspection!! read more

second year in a row they tried to fail me for same thing. Last year i paid $300 for same thing . They had no right to take my sticker and put reject, i immediately went to my mechanic which said they were trying to take advantage of me once again and was not a failed car. Got sticker just fine. They are taking advantage of people and making things up and putting reject stickers on with no reason and had another week if there was a problem to get fixed. If your tire pressure is low, don't go here. Tire air machine is out of service more often than not. The guy at counter said there should be other gas stations with the machine. It so happens that two other places have broken machines as well. My expectation of gas station attendant is usually very low but he just does not give s**t. This place. Yikes. I avoid going here because I haven't had a solid experience yet. But it's right off my exit so sometimes, convenience trumps comfort. It's a gas station with a store, well-lit and it's decently maintained. It's also attached to a car repair and state inspection station. Overall Service: There was a time when I was pumping gas here, it didn't recognize it has already filled my tank and it started overflowing. Because this was the first time it has happened to me, I walked into the store to let the staff know. He was watching something and he just said "okay". I asked him if he wanted to come out to check it out before someone else uses it because it might be the pump. He then walked out to check it out and then noticed something was wrong with the pump and handed me a paper towel to wipe my car. Okay, thanks. And another time I went to get a state inspection, my pressure light was on, I asked this young staff if he can check it out. The guy looks half asleep and within 10 minutes, the inspection was done. But I noticed my light was still on came back in to let him know. He said it's fine. After I drove it for a while, the light never went away, I went somewhere else and they said my pressure was very low, fill it up and the light was gone. I went to get an inspection sticker, and one of the guys said I got rejected for my inspection and there was a crack on my two tires. I got offered to get it fixed by them. I said just "reject" my inspection. Paid $35 for rejection sticker. I went to the other Inspection place, and the owner said there was nothing wrong with my tires and said it was brand new. I went to here for an inspection sticker and was told that they would reject me due to the license plate peeling as I need to request a new license plate. Then he left me standing there and didn't come back. According to the DMV, he should have gone through the full inspection and given me an "R" sticker before going to the DVM to request a replacement plate and they would have waived the $10 fee. So after the DVM, I went back for my inspection sticker which I passed and paid the fee. As soon as, I left I felt the car dragging as I was driving home, until someone pulled me over to tell me that my back driver tire is smoking. I checked to see if the parking brake was engaged and it was not. So, the police arrived and escorted me home and I immediately call my brake guy to come look at my car as he had just replaced my brake calipers last year. He said that the parking brake was engaged even though it showed being released in the car. He said it was as if someone took a hammer to engage the parking brake. He said that parking brakes don't engage by themselves. I have never ever used the parking brake so how could this have happened? I have one word "Sabotage" so I that I would immediately bring the car back for unnecessary service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! read more

The price here was similar among the 3 gas stations located in this general vicinity, and was lower than my local station, so I took the opportunity to fill it up. I was in a long line of cars so I expected to be waiting a while, but they were very quick and by the time my car was being inspected, I only waited about ten minutes. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER AND CIRCUMSTANCE!! I've had trouble with them in the past with vehicle repairs but I finally hit my limit and felt the need to share with my most recent visit. Against my better judgment I decided to go the convenient route and have them perform my vehicle inspection. My Mercury Mariner has just been in the shop for the last week having the front end completely rebuilt. Because of all the work I had just put into it , I figured their was absolutely no way they could reasonably fail the vehicle, but I failed to realize just how incompetent they are. After about 2 minutes of inspecting the vehicle one of the workers comes out to me and tells me that the front end of the vehicle is loose and because of that it will fail. I tell the man this is impossible because my mechanic just repaired the entire front end of the vehicle and gave me his promise it was all set to go. I leave the place furious about to go get the car inspected at some place up the street, but instead decided to really test how crooked and backwards this place was. The next day I return to get it inspected again telling them my mechanic had taken another look when in reality all I did was bring it home and back. Sure enough this time it passes and now I'm even madder then before. I will never be doing business with this establishment again and want to make it as know as I can that this place is run by thieves. read more

Though the work, once accomplished, seems 'adequate' and 'professional,' these guys seem to be prominent card-carrying members of the Unnecessary Repairs club -- my wife and I had three "oops, license plate light out" inspections in a row within 2 years (my car twice, hers once), and subsequent town social-media discussions unearthed another handful of you-need-a-light, you-need-an-oil-change, you-need-wipers, you-need-a-ball-joint upsells. Though some of these certainly could have been legitimate, their clustering and sequence suggests fraud. Everyone has heard horror stories of shady mechanic work. These guys are guilty of gauging for unnecessary repairs in the name of inspection stickers. My friend was falsely 'rejected' b/c the mechanic claimed tie rods needed replacing..to the tune of $330!! If you are a fair business person, no need to fake repairs to make money and I say you forfeit your state licensing or accreditation to even be allowed to inspect cars. Add to the act a piss poor attitude when proof is presented that the repair was not neeeded - you get one loser star. Shame on you Sunoco! Grouponer's/Car Owners/Not-Rich-People/ BEWARE: Here's what's going to happen if you take your car to them for a routine inspection sticker or oil change: 1) You will probably get an officious sounding statement, Your car has failed because of tie-rods or ball joints, (or some such nonsense). I can't let you drive out on the roads because that is a safety violation and against the law. 2) You will probably get a failure on your inspection and a quote for "repairs" for 400$ to 500$ I regret the day I took my car (which I've been using for my daily commute without any problem whatsoever) to them for a Safety Inspection. Imagine being stuck with a possible bill of 400$ for no valid reason plus the prospect of having these same guys examine the car further and "magically find" further problems. Why guys, why do you want to do all this. Just to make that extra money riding on hard-working people's backs ??. You know Karma's going to come back at you somewhere, someway. Avoid at all costs. But if your car doesn't use 5w30 oil, the mechanic will tell you the oil change will cost 80 dollars for synthetic...as per his mouth "its not my cost, its the company. After I told him that there is no way I was going to pay 80 dollars for synthetic (auto zone is across the street!!!) he said ok with a shitty attitude and dumped the 5w30 oil in the engine....(BTW the oil it will not hurt your car if your car prefers another grade...just change it next time around to your car's standard.) Also got charged a 4 dollar dispense charge. AVOID THE SCAM! read more

My wife took one of cars in to change the oil, got it back within a few minutes. Much too fast to actually change the filter and the oil on the dipstick sure looks darker than the honey color I expected. These guys prefer to communicate back and forth in non-English, so they can figure out which story they are going to spin to rack up more dollars. A different time they failed this same car's safety inspection because the wipers had streaks. The blades had been recently replaced, so I know they were still good. If they had bothered to wipe off the bits and pieces that drop from our trees, the wipers would have passed. But then, they wouldn't have gotten to sell wipers marked up by 200%. If they fail your inspection take the repair sticker and go elsewhere to get it fixed. perhaps they'll learn someday. if enough people do that itsead of letting them "fix" the problem. read more

The end of March 2010 is coming up, and that means a new inspection sticker. I used to take my car to a spot five minutes from my house, but the guy ticked me off when I had to deal with a license plate issue, so he was toast. This new place is easy in, easy out, and right around the rotary. The owner is very nice and it's quick. Not sure what they did or didn't do to give me a PASS as well as a new sticker, but it took 10 minutes. Wonder if they turned my car on. A convenient mart is attached to the three service bays, and the pickings are slim except for chips, oil, and some candy. There was A roll of toilet paper, A roll of paper towels, A bottle of Era detergent, and a few other things. I eavesdropped on a telephone conversation between the owner and a client, and he sounded very professional and fair. I then heard the owner speak to a parts' guy, and he was telling the guy to find a better replacement part because the one the parts' person had mentioned isn't as good as he would want to place on the car. That was considerate. He said he wouldn't charge the client any more for the upgrade. Not sure I'd take my car for service here, but it's good to know that they may know what they're doing.
