I went here because I saw the garlic noodles online they looked really good, so I was tempted to check it out I ordered the garlic noodles with the surf and turf. The steak was a little tough.....sliced really thin with 3 shrimp on top. I put a picture on here for reference. It didn't look super tasty but it wasn't too bad. I asked for them to make it spicy, it was spicy and I feel like I'm still on the search for a better garlic noodles. The drunken wings were really good. The truffle fries were good. They also had happy hour when I went happy hour is every day from 5 to 7...even on the weekend. I went on a Saturday Also during happy hour oysters are a dollar I did not get any. The duck look really good. The duck is prepared to order. It takes about 45 minutes. A few orders of that went out. Will probably go back. Customer service was cool. Dennis is the best. Thanks for taking care of me.
Really disappointing experience at Drunken Lobster. The tables were dirty when we sat down, and the music was way too loud--hard to even have a conversation. The food quality didn't match the pricing at all. The duck tasted like it was reheated, with uneven temperature (some parts hot, others still cold), which is unacceptable. Only positive was the garlic noodles--they were actually good. Service was poor. We were given water without cups at first, and when cups did come out, they were plastic... at a place serving wagyu and lobster. That just doesn't make sense. Overall, the experience felt careless and not worth the price. Definitely expected much better.
The food was really tasty and very well seasoned. The staff took care of us but it kind of took a second for them to realize that we're not here to play around and we literally want to eat and order everything on the menu. We came here when there was a lot of construction outside and in the parking lot, not sure what it looks like now but don't be turned away by the looks of the outside. Trust, my mom almost wanted to go somewhere else. Glad we at least got to try this place out. They were sold out of a couple seafood options we wanted but the crawfish was really good and the oysters yessss. The steak garlic noodles were a favorite as well as the fried rice. Not too many drink options here so don't expect cocktails or anything too fancy but what we did have was good enough and went well with our food.
Drunken Lobster is owned by a local singer who relocated back to Houston after years of living in California while he was a member of the band Asia 4. I had high hopes of enjoying this place enough to become a regular and support the business but unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered: Salted Egg Clam Pasta - I'm a huge fan of the salted egg flavor so I had to try this pasta dish. However, it was a complete disappointment. The pasta was all color but no flavor whatsoever. So, if you're looking for that salty egg taste, you won't find it here despite the name. Fried softshell crab--the order included one crab and one dip. The dip had a mayo and Sriracha mix flavor. The batter was light, and the crab had a soft crunch. I would probably order it again, but I would ask to leave the red seasoning on top out. Shaking Beef - my partner ordered this dish and I was told that the beef had a pretty good flavor to it but nothing about the dish really stood out. I understand that many Californians are relocating to Texas and opening restaurants. While I don't mind paying California prices here in Houston, I do expect California flavors so to speak with that kind of pricing. On the positive side, they have an appealing happy hour menu featuring $1/fresh oyster. Overall, I would rate this place 3 stars for its food and 4 stars for the combination of clean ambiance + quasi friendly service + easy and ample parking + support for a local singer.
This was our last dinner before flying out and I'm so glad it was! We came on a Friday night for a late night dinner around 9 PM. The place was packed, but to be fair, it's a pretty small restaurant. This looks like a crowd favorite for large groups as most guests had at least 6+ people to their table. We were a party of 3, and lucked out as a table was just leaving as we arrived. We still had a 10 min wait though while they cleaned up. They had a live band playing by the front door and while I really enjoyed the music, it was just way too loud for the space. You literally can not hear each other unless you're speaking directly into the other person's ear, so not really a good choice for a first date or any event where you actually want to socialize with your party lol They specialize in seafood so what did we get? Seafood duh! We ordered the following: Drunken Lobster - House dish, you get to choose the size of your lobster (small, medium, large). We went with the medium for the two of us and killed the whole plate. It was about $58, not too bad considering it's served with a ton of garlic noodles underneath. They use spaghetti noodles though, so not my fav, but they were cooked well and held the flavors nicely. The lobster was cooked perfectly, and easy to get the meat out. The flavor is very umami, heavy on the oyster sauce. Wish there was a spice level option! Sizzling Clams - Seriously SOOOOO good! Would get this again. Comes with two sauces, one is a greenish spicy tart flavor, and the other is more sweet fish sauce forward. Use both and it's a flavor bomb! Queen Scallops - The scallops themselves were sooooo tender but the flavor was bland AF. This was such a shame because if they came with a sauce like the clams, this would have been a top notch dish. IDK if they prepared ours right tbh cause I can't imagine this dish is meant to have no salt at all. Super disappointing. Fried Soft Shell Crab - We loved this! The crabs had the perfect crunch, but still tender and juice inside. Paired with the spicy mayo (not that spicy), it was a good app. $10ish for 3 crabs, not bad at all. Fried Shrimp w/Fries- my picky daughter is a french fry fiend. Fortunately enough she loves shrimp, so this was her dish. The fries are actually really good and they pair well with the spicy mayo. They have ketchup too if you want that. The shrimps still had their tails but they look like they were split in half length wise and then battered and fried, so they kinda look like tentacles lol The batter is a little heavy but not too bad. A good option for the kiddos. Dozen Oysters - Apparently they serve $1 oysters EVERYDAY after 5 PM. I didn't know this before going but holy smokes! If this isn't reason enough to visit, then idk. Initially they told me they were out and I was super bummed about it. Bummed is an understatement cause my BF was already planning to bring me somewhere else for oysters right after dinner but some time later in the evening, they told me they were able to get some. You guys! The way my eyes lit up when they brought my oyster platter out, you had to be there. The oysters are so fresh and so clean, clean (IYKYK) and they're huge! Despite being large oysters, they're so sweet and not briny at all. They serve this with a saltines, cocktail sauce, limes, tabasco, and horseradish. One of my oysters were a little small so they actually gave me an extra one to make up for it. This was my fav dish the whole night and I ate all 13 of them. I was a happy girl and my BF was a happy man cause he didn't have to hear me cry about how I didn't get my oysters lol Staff is friendly but disorganized. Servers brought the wrong dish to our table 3 diff times, very weird. They also only gave us 1 plate, but 3 sets of utensils so we had to ask for more plates. Other tables seemed to have the right amount though, so idk what that was about. In addition, when our food started coming out, they actually took away our clams even though we still had 1 uneaten clam on the plate. We let them know and they were apologetic about it. Instead of making a new one, they told us they'd discount it but when the check came.. no discount lol We let it go though because they saved the say by bringing me oysters and for my man, my happiness is PRICELESS haha. All in all, a great experience. Food was delicious and I would come back again if we're ever back in Houston!
Deliciousness!! We got the garlic steak noodles, egg rolls, and lomo saltado. Everything tasted very good. The service was nice and the food came out pretty fast. They have so many things on the menu. Can't wait to come back and try something new.
I really like the food here! We came here on Saturday for a late lunch and wanted a few light bites. We ordered the papaya salad, cooked oysters, and tofu. All were really delicious. My favorite was the tofu. Service was relatively fast and the restaurant is clean. Restrooms were also clean. The total came out to be ~$60. The cocktails they had seemed interesting so I will have to come back and try. Parking is plenty in the lot outside. 1 star off since you could probably get a better deal elsewhere for the same food with how competitive Chinatown is. I hear there is live music, so we will probably be back soon.
After volunteering with some classmates, I went to try Drunken Lobster afterwards in bellaire. They have a lunch special where you can get one of their entrees for $11.95. I got the bánh canh tôm cua. It's a crab shrimp soup with udon noodles. I also added a soft shell crab on the side. The broth is thick and crabby. It comes with thick and chewy noodles that absorb the broth very well. It also comes with tons of slices of meat and pieces of shrimp. They also provide a veggie tray as well as some condiments like a salted fish paste if you want to make your broth more salty. I really enjoyed mine and so did everyone else. I would pass on the soft shell crab next time though. I want to try their garlic noodles next time. Their stir fried lobster with garlic noodles dish especially sounds appetizing
Came here with a friend and the restaurant was not busy at all, it was a little toasty in there though but there was a standing fan. The lady taking our orders was really nice and recommended many things for us to try. The food was good but can get very pricey in my opinion! The lychee drink was great but a little on the sweet side because there's no vodka in it, just sake. They don't have hard liquor in the establishment. Overall a solid restaurant and very clean!
The service was phenomenal. Very friendly from the time I walked into the restaurant to the time I left. The food was beyond belief amazing. The garlic noodles were so delicious and the steak was so tender. The soft-shell crab was amazing and had some of the best flavor. The restaurant was clean and very welcoming. It gave a real family friendly atmosphere.
Disappointing. Had read the great reviews and saw the yummy pictures of the food here and so we were excited to try it. We wanted to order so many things but ended up ordering just 3 things: steak garlic noodles $15.95 garlic butter crab fingers $14.95 salted egg clam pasta $19.85 total: $54.96 the steak garlic noodles was our favorite. the noodles had good flavor, and the steak was well seasoned. the crab fingers were so dry and didn't taste fresh at all. the salted egg clam pasta was too saucy, heavy, and the flavor was weird.. can't even explain it but didn't taste what you would expect "salted egg" to taste like (and i love salted egg anything!). very disappointed that we paid almost $60 and only 1 of 3 dishes was decent enough to eat. so basically we had to throw away about $35 of food because nobody wanted to eat it.
We came here for my mom's birthday on a Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately! The good prices were okay for Vietnamese seafood. My favorite fish was the soft shell crab tamarind flavor (not pictured). We ordered grilled oysters, soft shell crab, snails, razor clams, and the drunken lobster special. The lobster noodles were actually really good! The lobster was cooked perfectly. The noodles were FULL of savory flavors. The restaurant was a small cute Vietnamese type of restaurant. Restrooms were clean!
This review is based on a dinner at the establishment for our party of three. Pros: Service -- our waitress was nice and courteous and not pushy or try to upsell expensive dishes. Garlic Green beans dish was great. LOL That is my fav here. Love the garlic noodles with shrimps Cons: Not cheap Truffle fries were just meh.

Have been back a few more times and still impressed and loving the menu! The consistency is appreciated - the godly fried rice and the wings are always executed perfectly. We've now also tried the green beans (4/5), which are crisp the way I like them! I didn't see much sautéed pork in it and will say it felt a little salty by the end due to the soy sauce but would definitely order again. Maybe I can ask for less soy sauce. We also tried the salted egg shrimp (5/5). Gosh this was good. 5 large shrimp came with it (unpeeled, no head) and they were flavorful with the scrambled egg sauce. The surprise of the most recent meal was the salted plum with kumquat and sparkling water refresher (5/5). The drink was refreshing and the sparkling water was a nice complement. Looking forward to trying more things! read more
It was busy but we got seated right away. Either their a/c wasn't strong enough or it wasn't working but they had a large, powerful fan. You need a device to see their QR code menu. I looked online ahead of time because I have been wanting to come here for a while. It didn't disappoint. We ordered egg rolls (ok), green beans (amazing!!), fried rice (ok), surf and turf (amazing), drunken lobster (amazing- but I am either not fancy enough because I don't know how to crack the lobster shell to get the meat or am too fancy and need the shell removed for me). We had leftovers and I can't wait to eat them. The employees were so nice and helpful and they were very accommodating and tried to move us to a bigger table because of all the food we ordered! read more

Why 3 stars? Because the noodles were decent but this didn't live up to expectations. --- --- --- My wife somehow discovered Drunken Lobster and was pretty excited to try it. When we had been in Maui a few years earlier, we ate some garlic noodles from a restaurant there called Star Noodle and have tried to find a dish like it, ever since. We thought it might happen here, and while the noodles were enjoyable, they were most definitely not Star Noodle. The hunt continues! We ordered two different dishes with these noodles: the Drunken Lobster and the Steak Garlic Noodles. We ordered the small portion of the drunken lobster and it will still more food than we could eat (mostly in noodle form). There was a lot of lobster on the plate, but it was still in the shell, which made it very messy to eat. And there was so much stuff piled on top of each piece of lobster that it was hard to see what was meat vs what was shell, without just physically grabbing and/or attempting to eat it. By the end, food was everywhere. But I didn't feel like I'd just eaten a bunch of lobster. It wasn't really worth it. As for the steak, it was fine. It tasted like a lower quality cut from Kroger. Cooked well, but just lacked in flavor. We also ordered truffle fries and wings, which again, were both just okay. So with everything being just alright and a bill north of $100 after tip, 3-stars sounds about right. The best part about the experience was the wintermelon tea I ordered that was delicious. read more
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Drunken lobster is amazing. The small dish is more than enough for 1 person. Shaking Beef was so tender and awesome. Great service. Ambiance is nothing special. Maybe they are still setting up. Tons of old Furniture stacked in the back. I wouldn't go here for a romantic date night but if you want just good food it's great. read more

Wanted to try a new place in Chinatown and this did not disappoint. The establishment was very clean and spacious. My server was very attentive and checked in on items I ordered to make sure I liked them. The food was good, my absolute favorite was their garlic greens. AMAZING! I will come back literally just for those. To drink, I ordered the Icy Queen, made with sake. It was good. For my entree, I ordered the shrimp garlic noodles. I do wish they were a bit more wet/saucier but overall pretty good. The shrimp was well seasoned. read more

We came for lunch on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty. We got the truffle fries, drunken lobster and the Dungeness crab tamarind, which was more than enough food to feed four people. The drunken lobster was delicious and also came with noodles. The Dungeness crab wasn't super worth it though - it was expensive with not much meat. I've been coming here at least once every 1-2 months since I first discovered this place about 2 years ago, so it's high time that I write a review~ When my friends ask me, "What's good here?" ... I can only reply, "Everything." I'm not kidding! I don't think anything has disappointed me here, and I can tell all of the dishes are designed with care so that all of the ingredients can only enhance the flavors. Just pick whatever you feel like eating that day and you're all set! My favorite dishes are: * Drunken tofu (the sauce and fried skin of the tofu had me "drunk" on flavors for a week) * Steak or surf and turf garlic noodles (the steak is always cooked perfectly and tender) My only gripe about this place is that they took away the shrimp scampi, but hey - at least they aren't disappointing with the other foods! read more

Drunken lobster is where you can bring your family here to enjoy live band every Friday night. The ambiance is nice and always so decorative. Went during lunar new year and they had the cute red and white lanterns. The staff are so nice and attentive. We always get our bone marrow fried rice & steak garlic noodles, pair it with a mango Ada and you're good for the night!!! Must get fresh oyster special $1 each!! They were so fresh and sweet! I also got their grilled squid & razor clams! They were so flavorful!! It's a must try!!! read more
I came here for a girls night with my friend and there were plenty of seating and live music inside! The place was very spacious and our waitress was really quick and helped us get our order in before happy hour ended in literal minutes LOL. She was super sweet! We shared the drunken lobster so we got a medium size and it honestly was a good portion. The flavor was so yummy and incredible! The lobster meat really just falls right off the shell without any toughness at all also! Definitely would be back to try more on the menu and for more pasta and lobster haha! read more

Found this place from a social media post. Week before we were talking about how we missed the Lobster with Garlic noodles in LA. We ordered the popular dishes other reader shared. We started with the lemongrass clam soup. Clams were fresh and the soup tasted out of this world.... Different from what I've had before. Fried soft shell crabs. You get two pieces. Fried well and dipping sauce was tasty. Next was Queen scallop. Scallops were very fresh...what other things they put in made it work. They also give you a side of fish sauce in case you need it. We had initially ordered the regular scallops before our server recommended the queen scallops. Glad we made the change. For the main course, we ordered the largest Lobster (2-2.25 lb) with garlic noodles to share. It was very garlicky... had jalapeños, onion leaves, peppers, etc. This hits the spot. Close to what I remembered from LA. We also found out that you can order bigger lobsters but you have to call them a day ahead. Service was good and very attentive. Restaurant wasn't too busy on a Thursday night. The owner said they have a band on Friday nights. We will go back again when we start craving for Lobster with garlic noodles. We came here for lunch on a friday. plenty of parking space available. It looks deserted but since we are here...we will give this place a whirl. Our waiter/bartender was super attentive and funny. We each got vietnamese ice coffee for free for lunch! The lobster was very tender but my companion doesn't like a lot of butter so we opted for the cilantro infused massago with green chili. it was good with some melted butter. hubby chose the broken rice dish with grilled pork. It was good he said. The egg loaf can use another element. The bi tasted homemade. My sis loves Oc or sea snail. it came to our table sizzling and she was excited. too bad they didn't offer a snail fork lol. we used toothpicks instead. What isn't pictured is the Garlic Noodles with Grilled Shrimp. I loved the noodles! prob come back for more of it. The spaghetti noodles were flavorful with garlic and a hint of sweetness. the shrimpers were partially butterflied so you can peel it better. I want to try their happy hour oysters when i get a chance to make it to Houston chinatown since i live south 288. read more
Drunken Lobster: Worth a Visit! Service: Excellent! We were the only customers, so the staff was super attentive. My partner is Vietnamese and ordering was seamless. Food: Vietnamese seafood. We loved the crab fingers as a tasty starter. The Sizzling Scallops were super refreshing, but I'd probably try the Queen Scallops next time. Our favorite dish was definitely the salted egg shrimp over rice - delicious flavors and textures! Ambience: Clean and inviting, with a coastal beach house feel. read more
I came here with my friend to celebrate my bday and had it on my to try list for a while. It was super hyped up on social media and I waited for the hype to die down a little before coming. We ordered the godly fried rice, $1 oysters, surf n turf noodles, soft shell crab, mojito, and wintermelon tea (free with Yelp check in). The waitress was so sweet and took lots of pics for us and even set our table nicely for the pics. She gave us great service. The godly fried rice was good but a tad too salty, the oysters were big, the noodles were the best item of the night, the crab was more batter than crab (I could barely taste any crab), the mojito and wintermelon drinks were both refreshing and sweet. Always find myself back here for the lobster noodles! It's in the name so you must get when you come here! The garlic and butter taste of the lobster and noodles just so well balanced, nothing about it is too fishy or salty or oily. I love to eat big chunks of the meat too. We ordered the small size for 2 people, but we regretted should've ordered a medium size and we would still kill the whole plate. Service is very friendly, but the wait for the food can take a little while, and the ambiance of the restaurant is chill and cozy. Kitchen is open to the seating area so feels very inclusive. It would be a good place to catch a drink at night with some good seafoods. I will come back and try more on the menu. read more

Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try! My party came in on Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. I went ahead and ordered 4 dishes and all of them truly did not disappoint. They were all amazingly delicious. If I had to recommend one dish to order, it would be the Lobster Noodles dish. That dish had the most flavor but it is on the pricier side. Second would be the Queen Scallops. Following would be the Steak Garlic Noodles. Lastly, the Soft Crab Shell. This place overall is between $$-$$$ but I think it's definitely worth a try; once in your life. read more
It's located off bellaire and Wilcrest behind the bank. It's not as big of a place as I thought. Live music (very loud) Friday nights. Got seated right away. Very nice staff. They do honor yelp freebies or discounts. We ordered the sizzling scallops, pepper snails, wings, drunken noodles and winter melon tea. The tea wasn't super sweet I liked it. The food was good. Noodles were a bit bland but overall I enjoyed all the dishes. The scallops were tiny and I felt the dishes were overpriced. $16 for the 4 tiny scallops? read more
Came again at 6pm on a Friday and there was plenty of seating available, and plenty of staff on hand to help customers. Also, the A/C works now, so yay! GODLY FRIED RICE: Still absolutely delicious and flavorful! My favorite dish here! DRUNKEN LOBSTER: Still delicious and full of flavor too! If anything, it improved! Not sure if they changed the noodles, but they were significantly better than last time for me! They seemed like better quality noodles and maybe had more sauce than last time. SIZZLING SCALLOPS: This was actually much tastier than last time for me! I think it was because there was more sauce and it was thicker than last time. I only had a bite of the Queen Scallop, so I don't really remember it, but I liked the Sizzling Scallops significantly better. SOFT SHELL CRAB: Still mostly batter, small, and not for me, but my table still liked it. This place doubles as a casual restaurant and an expensive restaurant. When you come here, you could drop $30 on a meal or over $100 depending on the type of dishes you get. The meat dishes are reasonably-priced while the fresh seafood dishes are pricey and resemble something you'd expect from a high-end restaurant. It feels inconsistent, but seems to work for them as seafood lovers understand the price of getting fresh, quality seafood. And who says you can only get that at some fancy restaurant? read more

4 stars? What? This place is awesome. Should be 5. I had the drunken lobster dish which is lobster on top of garlic noodles. Amazing! I didn't know those go so well together. It tastes like a pedicure in my mouth....hmmm weird... no ... I can work with this... i think pedicures feel nice and I like them. And it's the same feeling you get when you're getting your pedi, except in your mouth. Don't judge it, just accept it. It's like when Obi Wan Kenobi said the force feels like that sensation you get when someone turns on the lights when you're afraid of the dark. My analogy is on par with that I think. The Laos sausage, I was hesitant eating Laos sausage at a Vietnamese spot. so much flavor all at once! read more

We finally came back to try the drunken lobster noodle. It's one of the best noodle I've eaten (Yes, Cardin, I came back to try the lobster and it definitely earned the 5th star)! My husband and I love the dish!. We also got green beans , which was recommended by our waiter, and it was also delicious! Definitely will come back to try more food. Warning: we came at 6:30 PM Friday and by 7:30pm, the restaurant was packed! I recommend going at 6:00 PM for dinner on Friday to go their happy hour. read more

New seafood fusion place in Chinatown with excellent service and steep prices. This restaurant is almost tucked into a corner and can easily be missed if you aren't specifically looking for it. The inside is very modern, clean, and spacious. They have an open kitchen concept and you can pretty much see most of what they do in there. Our table of 9 ordered a bunch of dishes to try and I don't think I was disappointed in a single item. Truffle fries: curly fries topped with parmesan black truffle. The fries came out hot and crispy. With ample amount of seasoning, it's hard to say anything bad about curly fries. Drunken wings: amazing! It was crunchy. It was juicy. It was flavorful. It was a beautiful experience. Sizzling clams: each plate came with five clams covered in scallions and I believe peanuts. Once the plate is placed on the table, the server pours the sauce on top and sizzling ensues. The clams were a little tough but the flavors were great. Plus we got a little show. Surf and turf noodles: sliced steak and grilled shrimp on top of stir fried noodles. The steak was absolutely the star of the dish. It had the perfect amount of grilled taste and when thinly sliced, almost melted in my mouth. Shrimp was huge and the noodles were a good consistency. Godly fried rice: this dish is made with strings of oxtail and brisket. The meat was dried with an almost jerky like consistency. Yummy! The staff was great. My friend & I wanted to check out this spot since it was new. We wanted to see what the hype was about unfortunately the food was just mediocre at best. The reels that I've seen was quite deceiving to be honest. I hate to do this but I have to give drunken lobster a 2 stars. Here's what we ordered. * Soft shell crab- it was mostly batter. Granted it might've been blue crab but it was very small & close to meatless. To top it off it was also tasteless as well; there wasn't even a hint of salt & pepper. 2 stars because it was fried to perfection. 2/5 * Godly fried rice- utter disappointment. I didn't see anything Godly about this dish. Visually it looks like it'll be over-seasoned but it was actually bland. The rice was dry & parts of it were crunchy. While the brisket was visible it was also dry & hard to swallow. I am questioning if there was any oxtails or truffle seasoning. 1/5 * Drunken lobster- definitely not worth $58. I understand there's inflations but if you're serving an expensive dish like this at least make it good. I felt that the noodles should've been homemade versus what you gave us, which is from the box. The flavors were mild & boring. There was a hint of garlic & jalapeños. What I can say is that the lobster is fresh & cooked very nicely. 2/5 Overall it was a disappointing experience, the food was underwhelming & overpriced. A long way from Austin, but glad we drove all the way to Houston for Mother's Day. Ultimately, it was worth the drive as Mama was happy. My wife really wanted to try this place and so I went with the idea. We enjoyed their dishes as they're meticulously plated before being served. Before each dish was taken to their customers they received an inspection and some final touches by the owner/chef. All of them were delicious and served fresh! read more

So I have been wanting to try this place for a few weeks now since I stumbled upon it on Yelp while exploring my new home, Houston. So I'm just going to start with the not so great feedback as some of them just might be deal breakers for some folks. First, the tables are super sticky. Like uncomfortably and questionably sticky, BUT I see them wipe down every table after guests leave immediately so maybe it's just what they're using to wipe tables down that caused the stickyness? I'm honestly not too sure but I wasn't a fan. Also..... it's hot in here. They have a big industrial fan by the door, but I'm honestly not sure if it's bc the AC doesn't work or if it's just bc it's not enough. Either way it's warmish in here and the sticky tables don't help lol. Okay, so if you've read this far, I'm sure it's bc you decided you can live with the cons mentioned above and want to hear more about the food. Soft shell crab - 3.75/5 - don't get me wrong, it was good as fresh but very small portions and the dipping sauce that goes with it is delicious but also heavy/thick. Bang Bang shrimp 4.5/5 - delicious but the whole shrimp is not peeled. I had no idea and plopped a whole one in my mouth only to be greeted with the nice shrimp tail shell. This one was my bf and brothers fav. Drunken wings 4.5/5 my personal fav at the table, perfectly fried and perfectly seasoned. Holy cow fries 3/5 there was not a lot of toppings on this one and compared to the fried rice (which has almost the same toppings) the fried rice was better Fried rice 5/5 loved this dish. GET IT! Lobster fest 3.5/5 delicious but also very plain lol. But I mean for the price, it definitely was still worth it. I also like how they give little water jug for the table. It always makes me happy when restaurants serve water like this. Overall - 3.8 rating due to atmosphere and although everything was quite yummy, portion sizes weren't super huge or anything like that. Who doesn't love a drunk lobster? Went in on a Friday afternoon around 11:30 am and it was relatively quiet. This is a relatively "new" restaurant to Chinatown. The interior was cute, modern, and clean. There is a QR code on the tables to scan to access the menu. We ordered the soft shell crab appetizer, shrimp with garlic noodles and the salted egg shrimp over rice. Yes, no lobster ordered. This time. The soft shell crab was perfectly battered and fried. And the sauce was perfect. They are small (I'm not that familiar with soft shell crabs so small night be the standard size) and 2 to an order. Shrimp with garlic noodles was my favourite. So, we actually ate the shrimp with the shell on. It was butterflied but shell was still attached on the sides. I know some people don't eat the shell, but it can get messy trying to remove it. The noodles were delicious. The salted egg shrimp was savory. Same scenario with the shell. It's optional. Lol. By Chinatown standards, it's a little pricey esp since it wasn't the standard larger portions but the food was good. The staff was a bit aloof but nevertheless helpful. Overall, we can't wait to go back and try the lobster as well as a few other items. (Also as we were leaving, the lunch people started trickling in) Def recommend this spot. read more

Wanted to try out something new. This was a nice random spot. Service was good the waiter was sweet. Inside it's just a normal restaurant. Nothing crazy going on as far as decoration or anything. Now, It was a little hot inside but we are getting into the middle of summer in Houston and it's expected for a lot of AC units probably to get burnt out by now. But on to the food. The presentation was better than I expected. The wings were good nice flavor even with out the dipping sauce. The drunken lobster was good flavor and so filling even with out me getting the noodles. I asked for garlic butter on the side for dipping omg this made it even better. The shaking beef was also really good such soft and tender beef. Definitely recommend to give this place a try. read more
Tried the new @drunken_lobster_bellaire and it is a delicious addition the bellaire food scene! Their garlic noodles could be a tad more garlicky for my taste but nonetheless a good meal! Their fried soft shell crab and the godly fried rice is a must!! We almost wanted a repeat of the rice it was that good! For a soft opening it was surprisingly very packed yet we got good efficient service! Can't wait to come back and try more! The steak could use a tad bit more seasoning and wings were a bit underwhelming for the price read more

I came here on a Thursday night and it was busy but not packed. Service was great. The space is really cute. Apparently on Thursdays or Fridays they have live music. The food was good, but a bit overpriced. My favorite were green beans, salted egg yolk dish, and drunken lobster. The green beans were perfectly seasoned and fried. The salted egg yolk sauce was deliciously creamy and savory. And the drunken lobster sauce was really good. The lobster meat was pretty solid too. I like their creativity of some of their dishes. They also gave us a slice of tiramisu for my aunt's birthday. I'd recommend you give it a try! read more

Drunken Lobster is a fun place to try fusion dishes. Everything was good but the dish that stood out to me was the lemongrass clam soup. I loovee the broth that the claims were cooked in. It was tangy, slightly sweet, and refreshing. That was my favorite dish of the night. The queen scallops were tasty as well, I love anything with fried shallots and peanuts. The soft shell crab portion was pretty small. The garlic noodles in the entree dishes were delicious! Noodles were perfectly cooked and coated in a yummy garlic butter sauce. Both noodle dishes (surf n turf and lobster) didn't have as much protein as I'd like. Steak and shrimp portion was tiny and the lobster dish mainly consisted of shells. Everything tasted good, but portions may be small and a bit pricey. They do have live music on weekends and the restaurant isn't too big so it can get loud. read more
This place is very loud. Music on blast while the fans are running. Can't hold intimate or family conversations. Food was good but a bit pricey. I'm sure the seafood were in season for the summer. Delish! I know they've recently opened and sometimes there's a learning curve but they seem to have hit the ground running. The decor is great, service was attentive without being overbearing and even the owner came to check on us. I ordered the godly fried rice with oxtail and brisket. The meat was perfectly cooked. and not dry, rice seasoned well, and although the egg was a little too over cooked it was still good. I will try the drunken lobster soon. Although pricy, after seeing it on the table next to us, it looks like it is worth it! read more
