This is my new favorite BBQ in Spokane!! By no means perfect but it checks a lot of boxes! Best Mac and Cheese I've had besides my own. The sauce is a beer cheese and it's served in a crock, topped with even more cheese! Triple chop sandwich was pure meat madness! Rib, brisket & sausage covered in havarti cheese and served with coleslaw on a soft bun. The Drunkys Choice platter is almost too big for one person--a chicken leg & thigh, brisket, ribs, and sausage all perfectly smoked, not too heavily seasoned. A few concerns, brisket could have been trimmed up a bit. Cornbread was a bit chewy. Service was a bit inattentive but still friendly. This was by no means inexpensive but the quality was there enough to justify the price.

    Great Blues Competition!! Great Place!!

So much fun!! Great live music. Great place and lots to be thankful for every time I come! Best burgers, incredible $5 appetizers including pulled pork sliders and so much more! Top shelf Family Ownership. Pride shows everywhere!! Love this joint...can you tell!!??

Our server was very busy, handling both the bar and restaurant areas. We all started with appetizers, which we shared. Fried green beans were good, kind of spendy. The onion rings were great and the tarter they came with was nice. The mozzarella sticks were good, the marinara was cold and chunky. For meals, two of us went with their Irish Stew, salad, and absolutely delicious cornbread. Our other friend tried their Burnt End sandwich. She said it was really good. What I really wanted was BBQ turkey, which is on their online menu but not on the menu in the restaurant. It was a good experience and we'll definitely give them another try in the future.

I wandered into McKracken's Irish Pub in Spokane Valley after a long day chewing cud and was greeted with the warmest "moo" of hospitality I've felt in ages. The owner clearly knows how to make everyone--two-legged or four-hooved--feel right at home. Let's start with the Guinness--cold, creamy, and poured with care. It's enough to make a bull tear up with joy (and that's saying something). The Irish stew? Hearty, rich, and packed with flavor. The cornbread is the real surprise--soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for soaking up the last bits of stew. Whoever's in that kitchen deserves a medal--or at least a salt lick of appreciation. They've got WiFi, so you can update your herd on your dining adventures, and the regulars add to that cozy, small-town pub vibe. Karaoke on Fridays is a real treat too--nothing like hearing a few pints in patrons belt out "Don't Stop Believin'" while I hum along in low, soulful moos. All in all, McKracken's is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in, loosen your bell, and stay awhile. Great food, cold beer, friendly faces--what more could a mad cow ask for? -- The Mad Cow Reviewer

Wifey and I didn't do the lunch buffet, but one son with us did---and let me tell ya, for $16.95 that is one heckuva good deal in 2025. He engorged 3 plates as you see in my pics. The smoked Ribeye Sam I had was generous with the protein, and tender as all get out. I hit it with creamy horseradish, rather than their BBQ sauce. Another good deal was the single-trip Salad Bar, which can be upgraded with a small sam, and choice of meat. Wifey loves her Smoked Turkey, so it wound up being a great lunch in her opinion. Many folks do not care for the Longhorns, but fair or not, we don't compare them with anyone else in the BBQ world (to include my back deck). They are who they are, and we're definitely on their team...

When we walked in the person at the front was playing on their phone and ignored us. My husband thought we were supposed to seat ourselves so we started walking to a table when she says, "I'll be with you in a moment." Once seated a very nice waiter came around and provided us the menu and asked for our drink order. We let him know this was our first time here and if there was something he would recommend. He suggested the buffet so we could try more items. We also asked about their brisket as this is an indicator of true barbecue. We were informed that the brisket cost extra, but my husband still wanted to try it so we ordered a side. When we went up to the buffet we noticed they had two sections. The cold salad bar, and the hot food section. The cold salad bar section had many containers to top your salad, however most of them were empty. The hot bar consisted of rib tips, shredded chicken in a sweet sauce, baked beans, hot potato casserole, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. Though I was hoping to really enjoy our experience here, the food was subpar at best. We couldn't even eat the brisket without dousing it in barbecue sauce because it was so incredibly dry, though it was unevenly warmed making me suspect it was reheated in a microwave. As for the cornbread, it was cold like it was just brought out of the refrigerator, the beef tips were overcooked and hard, and the shredded chicken was too sweet. The saving grace of this experience was our waiter. I wish I remembered his name, but he was very kind and helpful. If it wasn't for him, this would be a one star based on our experience.
