Nice to have decent BBQ somewhere close. This place is like a family reunion gone wild. So many good choices for BBQ stuff, plus they have great tacos made with the same awesome meats. The server who was taking our order was very knowledgeable and knows what to recommend to feed our company, which made the ordering process seamless and efficient. My wife and I usually dine in and have always had a great overall experience, (service, food quality and value, etc.). Last night we decided to do takeout since she was recovering from being ill. The service was friendly while taking my order, and as I waited at the bar for my order, so nothing less than positive to say there. My main concern and complaint was the portion sizes. We ordered a Brisket & Bleu salad for $20, and a regular order of Pickle Fries . The salad has always been more than enough for my wife and I to share, but last night it was much smaller, (at least 25%) than in the past. The Pickle fries were close to 50% smaller than usual. For $14. you should get way more than 19 small to medium sized breaded and fried pieces of pickle. A photo is attached of the pickle fries after rewarming in the air fryer and nibbling on four of them. We love Outlaw, and realize that costs have gone up, but if this is the way they are going with their portion sizes and pricing, we will have to take our business elsewhere. read more

Food came out at random times instead of all together as we asked. As for the food itself, it was not up to par. The Mac & Cheese was DRY!!! Usually it's super creamy. The fries were limp, lackluster, and soggy. Server wasn't interested in resolving our issues. The ONLY bright spot was the Outlaw Burger. Cooked exactly as I asked with a little pink in the middle with a light smoky flavor and LOADS of cheese! Great place for lunch! Enjoyed a nice meal on the bar area on a weekday about 1pm. The server was quick to greet us and get our drink orders. Once the drinks arrived she was helpful in answering our questions. I had the brisket blue salad and my husband had the two meats with two sides and his mom got the gringo tacos. The food came quickly and it was delicious. I can't wait to try the first restaurant, Outlaw BBQ in the north side as the bbq and bbq sauce were very good. They make their own sauces and also sell them. When we finished the sever brought to go containers and to go cups for our half finished ice tea and soda. FOOD: First off this was a take out order so Dine-in may be different. HOWEVER - the quality of food should not be sacrificed for to-go orders. We ordered the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" ($100 after tip) and let me tell you - it was all ugly. The to-go container was filled with individually wrapped meats - everything was sooo dry. The only conclusion I could come to is that they cut all their meat in the morning for to-go, wrapped each portion and kept it in a warmer all day, by 5pm the brisket was crumbly and gray. The chicken thighs were tough. The sausage slices were inside out and dry. Being excited about the ribs, I was super let down by the flavorless dry meat and crumbly bone. The pulled pork had moisture but it was bland. The Turkey of all things survived the foil sauna and was not super dry. The only thing that made the food edible the mustard bbq, the house bbq was a little off in flavor. The sides: Had the bbq bean, those were fine. Potato salad, that was typical. Coleslaw was vinegar based which is normal. The cornbread was cold with hard cold cheddar in the middle - flavor was good but consistency when cold is ick. When I order a BBQ platter, I think it would be fresher BBQ (maybe fresh cut pieces of brisket?) and not dried out that has to be doused in BBQ sauce just to choke down. SERVICE: The call to place the order was good, quick answer and nice on the phone. When I picked up my order, service was nice and I tipped a normal 20% on a to-go order (keep in mind people you need to tip your to-go orders) ATMPOSHERE: Place looked cool and spacious, lots of outdoor seating. Careful in the parking lot - its small and off Dishman Mica - people pull in and out like they have no breaks.
