Even though the Governor declared dry cleaners an essential service, she closed her shop and kept everyone's dry cleaning hostage for months without any notification whatsoever. I have no problem with her closing the shop; I do have a problem with her not answering her telephone or leaving a message about how to retrieve one's property. I left a voice message on her cell phone and she never returned my call; my wife left a note on her door and she ignored it. The least that she could have done was to inform customers about how to retrieve their property on a specific date/time. When I questioned her about closing for over two months, she replied, "Yeah, I closed for over two months" with no apology whatsoever. If you decide to use Clara's services, you do so at your own risk. If she ever goes out of business or declares bankruptcy, you can kiss your clothing goodbye!

And the prices are competitive and the service is competent. My boyfriend is so pleased with how correctly his shirt plackets are consistently ironed. Honestly the only thing wrong is that the app keeps telling you to swipe a card in to enter the location when you don't have to and you have to do some random workaround to be able to do anything else on the app, but certainly that will be fixed any time now. That following week as I was fumbling through my days and life the team arrived to clean our home. I had ran an errand, and when I returned, the ladies were busy doing their tasks. I came into the kitchen and the woman that my mother was so fond of specifically took one look at me, and I her, and we both began to cry. We hugged and shared our grief for a few moments. It was notable for me on so many levels. She understood and truly felt my pain and loss, and I too saw her sincerity and heart. Not only has this amazing team and company tended to our home for many years now, with love and kindness, they have become a valued part of our life. They touch and are present with all that is around our world. They are irreplaceable to me. I realized that they not only tend to our homes and make life a bit sweeter for us, but they have an investment with those of us they see regularly. How lucky am I to have found this amazing company. She responded by screaming at me and calling me obscenities. I informed the employee on duty, who clearly did not care at all. To make things worse, a homeless man then came in with a dog and started yelling at the staff because he couldn't access the restroom without money on his card. This place desperately needs better management--and honestly, security. As a paying customer, there's a basic level of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism that should be expected. I've dry cleaned the blazer and pants here before, but this time they were washed (not dry cleaned). I could tell because the fabric of the slacks completely changed and the blazer edges were rolled in. Both items also shrunk. I called to speak with someone. The woman who is normally there doesn't speak English well so I left a message for the manager to call me. A week later - no return call, so I tried calling two more times to reach a manager. I still wasn't able to reach them. While this was an isolated incident, the blazer and slacks are nearly ruined and without being able to speak to someone to ask what happened and feel confident it won't happen again, I have no choice but to take my business elsewhere. It's nearly impossible to resolve any customer issues with them.
