Losing 2 stars because of it. $169 for a short run with only 1 bend - about 10mins of work - and he was already in the area so no additional drive/toll was needed. It was much too high in my opinion. I am going to double down on Raz's honesty and reliability, too. I called Dryer Express after a Yelp search to see if, in addition to a dryer vent cleaning, Raz would be willing to look at and repair our dryer hose. He told me to supply the part and he promised to take a look at it and install it free of charge. Sure enough, when he arrived at our house, he crammed himself behind our dryer and properly installed our hose duct (first time it's been done correctly since we moved in 5 years ago). He even took the time to make a hybrid duct out of flexible and rigid ducting. He then went to clean our dryer vent only to discover we don't have one that vents outside our house. I tried to pay him for the installation of the duct, but he wouldn't let me! He asked me to recommend him to friends (which I did immediately) and when we do get our dryer properly vented, to have him out to come clean it! Our dryer gave us a blockage code that went away when we cleaned the lint trap, but since we bought the house with the washer and dryer in place, we had no way of knowing when the vent was last cleaned. Apparently it had been awhile, because Raz pulled a small mountain of lint from the vent. He also showed me where to periodically check the grate on the vent to make sure there isn't buildup. He's very kind and efficient, and I feel much safer in my home knowing he cleared out what could have been a fire hazard. So thankful for his help! Highly recommend! Strongly recommend! I requested a quote for cleaning our dryer vent and Raz replied very fast with a reasonable price and immediate availability. He came to our place very soon and checked our vent. However, our vent design is very strange and we could not find the correct vent location outside. He tried his best to clean it and helped us replaced the dryer's tube. As we could not find the correct outside venting location and the thorough cleaning could not be carried out, Raz did not charge us. I contacted Raz yesterday to make an appt.; he's already been and left this am. I'm so happy to have a dryer again!! We had tried cleaning the vents on our own, but ended up pushing the lint further in and clogging it to the point of zero air flow. Raz made recommendations to the set-up of the ducting, and was very thorough in his cleaning. He reconnected our dryer (which we had disconnected), and cleaned up not just the lint he removed, but also some my husband left behind.
