As others have commented, Vagif knows his stuff - I have a newer LG dryer that was throwing off 80% blocked messages. I contacted a few companies and ultimately chose to go w/ Vagif - his pricing was a bit more expensive than the competition, but the quality of his work was well worth it. He provided materials and took a # of extra steps to ensure the job was done well (took the lint catcher apart, hand scrubbed the screen, etc.). Beyond this service, Vagif is also an incredibly talented handyman - he fixed our sticky deadbolt, stubborn slider, and small gutter issue while onsite. Vagif knows dryer venting and does high integrity and thorough work. Our house is larger and the venting paths are complicated...he took the time to carefully sort out where the two dryers were venting and then he took the time to thoroughly clean those vents. The lower vent was a very long run and he explained how it was damaging the dryer electronics and how it would impact installation of a more modern dryer. He also found that because of the length of the vent, the last person who had "cleaned" our vents had actually just shoved all the link particles into a big mass in the middle of the vent line, which Vagif removed and then verified the run was clear. It took extra time and effort, but Vagif did it and did not change his cost estimate for the job. Vagif has also created some custom tools for himself to better access hard-to-reach spots and to truly clean out not only the vent line, but the dryer itself. I heard back from Vagif within hours of my late-night inquiry. He came the next morning, even earlier than the time he promised. His equipment was clean and he didn't balk at all about my stacked washer and dryer, or about having to use a ladder to get onto my (steep!) roof to access the exit part of the vent. He had a great approach to leave the vacuum on at the dryer, while simultaneously going to the roof with the brush to push any of the lint into the vacuum instead of out onto my roof. I honestly don't know where all of the positive reviews come from, but after my experience l am suspicious (especially when viewing the before and after photos on his review page). Vagif came to clean the dryer vent, but only spent about 10 minutes max in the crawl space where the vent is located. He NEVER pulled out my dryer to clean the inside lines, behind the dryer, the filthy lint screen cavity, or check the dryer flex which is critical to preventing fires! Indeed, l ended up cleaning lint screen cavity myself and it was filthy! For his 10 minutes of time, he charged me almost $400! When l asked him where the lint was that was supposedly sucked out of the crawl space vent he said he left it in the crawl space! Seriously? That action only serves to increase the fire hazards to the home. He insisted the crawl space was a mess and would charge extra to clean it up! No thank you! Being naive ( not now though!) l asked for a quote for cleaning the 6 heating vents in the house and was quoted an outrageous price of $1000 per vent (although he claims it was only $100 per vent (equally ludicrous in that nobody charges so little)! Having had the vents cleaned in 2020 from a company that sadly dissolved due to the pandemic, l knew both of his quotes were questionable. Now l have to have the dryer vents cleaned properly at an additional cost, but was also quoted substantially less than $1000 per vent for cleaning the heating vents from an exceptionally legitimate and trustworthy company who l look forward to working with next week. Yeah, l know...my review will stick out like a sore thumb amongst the others, of which l am skeptical. However, this was my HONEST and ACTUAL experience. Sadly, l only post honest reviews and they aren't always pretty, but genuine! BTW, Vagif left a few tools behind. UPDATE: Since the dryer vent cleaning , the dryer will not get even warm! This is something that should definitely have been checked before the job was completed as it is likely that lint got stuck in the bend causing a blockage! read more
