We went there for late dinner on Friday night. While my husband was looking for parking, and I went straight to the place. First of all, our table had only one set of fork and knife despite for reservation for two. No one approached me for the next 15 minutes to offer me a glass of water or ask if I want to order drink. While we were waiting for drinks, I noticed that something really small (like small bug) moving on the table - and yes, it was some small creature like a baby cockroach. They keep lighting low - even with the phone light isn't easy to take a clear picture . Our waitress offered us to change a table. So, one of the plates there wasn't clean, it had some small pieces of leftover food on it. My husband ordered ceviche and clam chowder, and I ordered Faroe Island salmon. My husband's food was ok but nothing special or outstanding. I would say it was a regular food. The salmon was ok but the combination of glazed salmon and spicy shrimp rice was weird. It is like mix Chinese food and something else. The shrimp rice was spicy and glazed salmon alone was flavorful which would be much better off with some more traditional side dish such as mashed potato. To my taste, food wasn't great at all. Dryft is such a gem the food is solid, the location is ideal (right by Revere Beach and attached to luxury apartments), and the overall vibe is great. Parking can be a little tricky, but once you're inside it's worth it. What truly sets this place apart is the service. Our server Phil was outstanding. It was such a good first experience at Dryft! We only got to experience three appetizers because we did not realize that the portions were quite big and we were so stuffed by the end of it, which is not a bad thing at all! I love trying Calamari from different restaurants and Dryft's definitely up there! We also ordered the Tuna Nachos and Truffle Fries, which were both equally delicious. Our drinks were amazing and everything came out in a timely manner and to add on, we absolutely adore our server, Stephanie. There was nothing about our visit we didn't enjoy, but to preface we came on a weeknight so weekenders be aware it could get busy! It was my bfs birthday and with no reservation or plan we called up Dryft and they said they take walk-ins and they were not too busy. We were there in about 25 minutes and it looked a little packed, but luckily there were still about 5 tables open. We were seated inside and perused the menu. The type of food I would say is seafood and American with options like pastas, burgers and some great looking seafood. We both got some cocktails to start, the Passaflora and the Love Potion. I had the love potion and my god it was so good. Sweet, fruity and dangerous. I had two (which I never have two drinks for dinner) and it was worth every penny. For food we started with the mussels which was not your typical mussels. It had gorgonzola cheese and cherry tomatoes with bacon....odd! But those combinations worked! The cheese provided a more loaded and powerful bite which paired well with the broth of the mussels and semi-sweetness of the tomatoes. Also, these mussels were huge and very well cleaned! Only one piece had some sand/grit it in, but the rest were very clean! Can't say that about most mussels we've ordered in the past. For mains I got the bolognese and he got the burger. The Bolognese....was so good. Almost too good for a small restaurant on the beach. It came pipping hot, large pieces of pasta cooked al-dente and loaded with a meat/veggie sauce. Also, a lot of parmesan cheese. I couldn't believe how tasty it was, it almost rivaled other Italian specific restaurants I've been to. The burger was also tasty! The caramelized onions added a nice punch of flavor to the meat. We ended up not getting dessert since we were too full but the options sounded great! I can't wait to go back. The mussels were cooked in a white wine, bacon and gorgonzola cheese. My 8yr old devoured the whole dish while I got 2. So disappointing. First and last time here. Had a reservation and was told there was no outside seating available even though there were tables not being used. Waited for about 30 minutes only to see a white family that arrived after us get an open table. When we finally did get a table, it was the worst spot possible. Wedged in a corner with no view. Pretty sure it was done intentionally. One of the younger (teenage) hostesses was super rude right off the bat. Definitely be prepared to have a side of bitchy attitude served with everything. None of the staff wore masks. The waitresses came unnecessarily close to us when taking our order. No concept of personal space, especially considering covid. Very bizarre. The food was ok. Lots of items have pork in them, so watch out if you eat kosher or halal. The food was definitely not worth the price. Ended up paying $35 (with tax & tip) for a shrimp salad and a tiny glass of soda water (no refill offered). There's no parking for the restaurant unless you're a Revere resident and can park on that street. Otherwise you have to use paid street parking by the beach. read more

Dryft is very nice and always busy. The food is usually very good. I do not eat seafood so there are limited menu choices but I still go about twenty times per year. My usual choices are the Bolognese or the Burger. The only meal I did not like was the chicken parmesan. Their chicken parm is not pounded down like the traditional meal. It's a pretty thick piece of chicken. I'm sure some people like it as they still serve it. It was just nor for me. Figured, I'd let you know before you order something you don't expect.
