After 8 months I decided to go back to Dryft to have the delicious octopus and tacos I enjoyed so much. Unfortunately my experience was completely different. It was an overall disappointment. The prices have increased which is understandable after COVID but what I couldn't accept was the amount and quality of the food they are given for those prices. The octopus was much smaller and the taste was not comparable to the one I had 8 months ago. The swordfish tacos were very sad looking. It was ridiculous the little of amount of fish there was on each taco. They used to put guacamole, they no longer do. Instead, they try to compensate the lack of flavor with lots of sauce. Even the house salad that comes with it was much less. I am very sad to say I will probably not be going back to Dryft. It's a complete ripoff to increase prices and decrease the amount of food you are getting. I understand many businesses are going through a hard time financially but it's very wrong what they are doing. It's a matter of time before people start to notice and start looking elsewhere. read more

We had a phenomenal experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. Our waitress recommended their bolognese claiming it's the best in the area - she was right, it was the best we've ever had. The service was great and the food execution and delivery was just right. Really enjoyed this place and looking forward to visiting during dinner/evening hours. Ambience/service: service was good and attentive. The restaurant has modern interior decor with a mix of different textures. I enjoyed the ocean view during my lunch. Food: food was really fresh. The Shishito peppers were fried and bit greasy for my liking. If they were grilled it would have been perfect with the wasabi aioli on the peppers. The grilled octopus was delicious and nice texture. Paired perfectly with mashed Portia toes and greens. Really enjoyed this plate. The oysters were great. The chicken pesto was also really nice and full of flavor. Those of you who enjoy a higher chicken to pesto ratio, would definitely enjoy this pasta. The burger was mediocre. I do wish the buns were lightly toasted. Nothing to go home and rave about. First five star review! Love the location and ambiance of this restaurant. Wait staff was friendly and patient. We started with the buffalo cauliflower which was amazing, crispy and lots of blue cheese. Also tried clam chowder which had lots of clam and flavor. for mains we got the burger which was prepare truly rare, the Bolognese which was well cooked and perfect balance of tomato, and the surf and turf pasta which was amazing because you get a little bit of everything! we finished with the bread pudding which was perfectly simple with vanilla ice cream and a little bourbon or caramel type sauce read more

Worst place ever will never go back. Waited 15min for a table after they made my reservations never was seated poor customer service

I was initially excited to try this place out, but I don't think I will come back. The location is in an extremely sketchy place right by Revere Beach. It didn't feel very safe. You'd have to circle around to find street parking. When we checked in, I observed the hostess talking to some patrons that didn't even have masks on to put them on the waitlist. That was a little alarming to me considering their site states that everyone has to wear masks when they arrive. Anyways, for food, this is what my group ordered: raw oysters and clams, fried oysters, shishito peppers, crab cakes, and some cocktails. The food was alright, nothing special. We questioned whether the oysters were fresh or not. The waitress didn't tell us the variety of the oysters and clams either. For the service, our waitress was super attentive and she would check up on us from time to time to ensure we had everything we needed. As for ambience, it was not the greatest. There didn't seem to be a dress code since there were people in shorts and tees and others were wearing blouses and jackets. There was a group of patrons that were a bit rowdy and obnoxious and treating one of the waitresses like crap to the point where we could hear the waitress venting and sounding super frustrated. (Not our waitress btw, she was awesome.) And then towards the end of the night, there was a random, shirtless stranger trying to start a confrontation with a party that was dining on the outside patio. Overall, great service + great view, but lackluster food + drinks and in a sketchy location. read more

Good experience until I Had an encounter with the manager Jason extremely unprofessional with guests and then on top of it seen him being extremely rude with employers as well. I will never come here again solely on the fact that the management is over-the-top and it is completely unacceptable. I cannot believe the way he was speaking to guests. Went here with some friends before Halloween, and it was a nice atmosphere. If you have a bigger group make sure you reserve in advance; there's an area that's more private with four big tables. Awesome restaurant with outdoor patio across from Revere Beach. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is rustic contemporary. They offer a wide selection of drinks and food, including brunch on the weekends. I got the mahi mahi fish tacos and a mimosa and my husband got the cold lobster roll (they also offer it hot with melted butter - CT Style) and a mango margarita. Both of our meals were delicious and perfect for a summer patio lunch across from the beach. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the staff is wearing masks and the menu is offered online, they are definitely following protocol to protect everyone. We'll definitely be back and we'll recommend to others. read more

Ordered through Grubhub, trying to support places that don't normally do delivery. The menu is limited but has some great options. We got the eggplant lasagna and wild mushroom gnocchi. I was excited to try this restaurant, and for the most part it was ok We liked the atmosphere. And main courses were good. Although nothing was really different from most other restaurants. What I did not like was the fact that when I ordered a martini which was expensive to begin with they up charged for olives with blue cheese . I asked for bread they up charged for the bread. The octopus was $18 and extremely small. I do not mind spending money in a restaurant but I don't like spending money where I feel like all they want is to get every last dime out of me. Dryft is the best thing to happen to Revere Beach in a while. It doesn't fight with fare offered on the other side of the boulevard, but adds a fine dining dimension. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and their deck, and a lovely patio (recently impacted by construction), makes for a lovely experience. Service is upbeat and knowledgeable. The food is unfailingly delicious! I recently had a swordfish steak on puréed cauliflower and fresh spinach, with a mint tzaziki top. Their fusilli w chicken was also solid. We finished with a complimentary tres leche cake as a birthday surprise. Best I've ever had. Dryft is a casual but upscale spot that delivers, and the servers are lovely. Dryft is a new restaurant right on the beach in Revere. We ventured out from Cambridge on the recommendation of a friend and are very happy to have discovered this restaurant. It's a beautifully decorated and comfortable space with comfortable, attractive seating. The food is excellent, servers are friendly and helpful. All in all, 4+ stars. read more

Service was great by multiple people. Atmosphere was comfortable. Views were nice right at revere beach. I am a seafood lover and ordered oysters and a shrimp cocktail to start with a tuna poke bowl. To my surprise, a loose shrimp was just laid on ice with the oysters. $3 for a single shrimp accompanying $3 oysters? Well, I ate it. It was fine but not $3 fine. Out of the tens if not hundreds of seafood restaurants I've been to, I've never been served a shrimp cocktail that wasn't in some kind of glass and cocktail sauce. Kind of bizarre really. Got the tuna poke bowl and loved that. Perfect for a light lunch. I'll definitely be back with friends and family. Can't wait to try their pastas and pizzas for dinner! This was the kind of delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere that you remember forever. Our party ate outdoors listening to jazz and shared ricotta gnocchi with wild mushrooms in black truffle cream sauce, roasted seasonal vegetables (they were out of this world, and how often do you rave about your vegetables??), crab cakes, clam chowder, bread, brownie cake with vanilla ice cream, and a slice of cheesecake with Oreo crust that was garnished with strawberries, fresh mint, whipped cream, and caramel sauce. It was all delicious. The waitress was polite and efficient, our corner outdoor table was clean and quiet, and we comfortably missed a rainstorm while eating. Nice location across from Revere Beach which is terrific, but the service was really, really excellent. Everyone that helped us- barstaff, waitstaff and the hostess were exceptional. To be honest, I was surprised at the quality of the service considering the place was mobbed on a Saturday night. Only had a few appetizers but the food was very good. I look forward to going back again this summer. After 2 years of Covid, it's great to know that some places still put an emphasis on providing great service. read more
