Mushroom Gnocchi with lobster added - full portion.
    Jessica C.

Notable dinner spot to meet with friends and/or coworkers. Sat inside on a rainy day but plenty of people had opted to sit on the outdoor patio which seemed like it was a cool vibe. Ordered several apps: Brussels sprouts, octopus and calamari. All were great but the octopus was the fan favorite. It was served over some sort of puree (maybe potatoes?) and accompanied by a green. To be fair, I had just come back from a vacation where seafood was the star of every meal, so the octopus was a little overcooked in my opinion but since everyone else was happy, I was too. Two coworkers ordered the scallops, one ordered rigatoni, one steak frites and I did the mushroom gnocchi and added lobster. For the pastas, the server encouraged us to order the full size which ended up being way too much food. We both left more than half on our plates which I guess would have been good if we weren't traveling from out of town and could have taken it home as leftovers...but it really was just a waste. If you're not too hungry or order apps, the half portion is more than enough. Everyone seemed happy with their food except for the coworker who ordered a side of coleslaw. He said there were onions in it...I said it must be a Boston thing?? Overall, good dining experience. Would I go again? Yes, if someone were to invite me...but I would not return on my own before giving some other places a try. Not to knock the place...It is a solid choice for good food - just not "excellent" or memorable.

I think the biggest appeal of this place is great beach view and inside is also very well designed and comfortable. We had a large party and few kids so decided it would be more comfortable inside. We got a semi private room initially so that was nice. Another party came in halfway through which was fine. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and checked on us often. Got all our orders correct and was very polite. Surprisingly the truffle fries were my favorite. Very crunchy and just the right crispiness. Fried calamari was also great with the right level of crispness and mixed jalapeños. The swordfish had no flavor and was bit dry. I should have expected this but wanted to try regardless. The dish had plenty of strong supplemental flavors trying to enhance the flavorless dish but wasn't doing it for me. Overall not a bad place to take friends or date if in area but I would not go out of my way to come back.

Full disclosure, the following was written by an AI bot, but it was with feedback that I rambled, and I approve the content of this message. I'm an actual customer who manipulated about not a bot from marketing purposes. That is all.... We originally came to Revere Beach for the food trucks... only to discover we'd timed it perfectly to miss them. ‍ Plan B was Drift, and I'm genuinely glad things worked out that way. We grabbed seats at the bar, where one of the bartenders took care of us. The service was outstanding--attentive without hovering, refills appeared before we realized we wanted them, and every request was met with a smile. We weren't exactly running up the bar tab (I think our group had one drink each), but we were treated like regulars. That's becoming a rare thing these days. The food was equally impressive. The salads were perfectly dressed, and the fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, though I would have loved just a little more acidity. A few dashes of Tabasco brought them exactly where I wanted them. Dessert deserves its own standing ovation. The olive oil and grapefruit creation was bright, unexpected, and absolutely delicious. But the undisputed star of the evening was the mushroom gnocchi. The truffle hits you hard at first, almost making you wonder if it's too much. Then, almost magically, the flavor evolves into something rich, earthy, and incredibly balanced. It's one of those dishes that keeps changing as you eat it--and by the last bite you're already wondering when you'll order it again. Funny how missing the food trucks ended up being the best part of the evening. Drift wasn't just a backup plan--it was the highlight of the night.

I was not very impressed by Dryft in Revere, MA. My sisters and I were meeting a local friend here for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right away and with water and menus. One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. When our waitress took our orders, there was no apology for the long wait either. The food we ate was good, but not worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I couldn't finish mine. One sis ordered lobster roll with slaw, pickles and fries. She found it to be underwhelming, particularly the texture. I had the Dryft cheeseburger covered in caramelized onions and fries as a side. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. The place was really noisy, which made conversation difficult. One other thing I noticed: all the female staff were wearing very short black skirts or shorts while the male staff members wore long black pants. I didn't inquire about a dress code or uniform, but it seemed sexist to me.

i love it here! i've been coming here for a couple years now & the food is always good. the service is great. today we got the watermelons salad (my favorite), and the short rid bolognese. both were fantastic. oysters are always fresh. this place is definitely overpriced, but for me to sit outside and look at the beach- it's worth it.

Service was really great and the food simply amazing. Steak frites were a bit tough, they should probably slice it tinner if they going to use that tough of a cut of meat. Seasoning was spot on and the burger was great.

    Shrimp Limoncello

GOOD ITALIAN & GOOD VIEW: I had the Shrimp Limoncello and it was an excellent dish. Great balance of flavors and the pasta tasted fresh, not heavy. Portion sizes are on the small side, so you'll probably want an appetizer if you're hungry. In the end you get solid Italian food without having to drive into the North End. The view of the water is really nice and definitely one of the draws for me to come back. There's some limited free street parking, but finding a space isn't always easy.

Lobster Roll (today's price $45) was good though

Service was top notch. Our server, even though it was very busy, was on top of everything. The food was really good too. You get what you pay for. We started with the clam chowder and it hit the spot. It had a perfect combination of ingredients. Tasted so good. For the main we decided on the lobster roll (market price $45). It was a great choice. The crab was so good and they did not fill you up with bread. There was a lot of crab on the roll.

Salmon Benedict & Steak and Eggs
    Carrie V.

Brunch at Dryft was soooo good! I got the Salmon Benedict and it was delicious. Perfectly poached eggs, buttery English muffins, and the freshest smoked salmon with a creamy hollandaise that tied it all together. Also the spinach was SO good. My friend got the Steak & Eggs which she loved, but the real star for me was the espresso martini, easily one of the best I've ever had. Our server Tracy was the best! So nice and attentive. Between the ocean views and the chill brunch vibes, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Came in around 8:30 and grabbed a nice outdoor seat. Super nice young lady started our journey with taking or beverage then appetizer order. Ordering the chicken parm egg roll I was amazed by the robust flavor inside but the outer wrapping was superb. Now this is a quality egg roll and HUGE and you were issued two of these monster rolls cut in half for a total of four man sized shareable delights.. Check the photos they don't lie they were amazing. Ok now onto main fixings so I ordered the steak tips accompanied by salad and French fries.. Note these are the hottest fries I've ever had and maintained a lava like heat through my meal. Not sure if it was just high quality fries or a design flaw but they were crunchy and flavorful but the heat kept me from eating them all... So I moved onto my steak tips. In Boston when dining forget steak and move to Steak Tips cause they rule. Soft and chewy mini mounds of flesh is a New England speciality and I partake immediately into masticating these flavor bombs till the last bite. Murray's tips were a tad different than I was accustomed to cause these were marinated in a bbq sauce. Now it caught me off guard yet by the end I was a gigantic fan of this new tip sensation to my tastes buds were pleased along with my belly.. As you can see Frank was a happy camper. But one more item for a review and that was my guests meal which was a filet mignon smothered in chimichurri sauce blowing up that steak with even more layers of savor to enjoy. And hats off to chef for cooking it to a perfect medium with an outer crust but nice juicy pink inside... Ok well that's it for Franks experience at Murray's Tavern. Amazing food & dining experience and will come back again! Auf wiedersehen !

They have rotating specials all the time, but their regular menu is so good that I just can't move away. Their smash burger is fantastic, but their salads are nice and hefty, so even if you're trying to eat light, you leave full and satisfied. Caesar salads are simple and standard everywhere, but I'm always happy with the one I get from Murray's - well dressed with a yummy cheese crisp on top. Their wings are delicious, always come out piping hot, and have a creative array of sauces. The variety of fries are impressive too and all of them are delicious (though, when are fries really not delicious?!) My favorite thing about Murray's is the front outdoor seating area. When the weather is a bit cooler, they'll turn on the gas heaters, so you can have a comfortable meal and still enjoy some fresh air. But what makes it truly my favorite is that it's dog friendly! It's always so tough to find spots that allow dogs, but Murray's staff is always so kind to us when we bring our dog with us for dinner, and they'll even bring out a bowl of water for him. Good service comes from the top, and we've met John, who is incredibly nice and friendly. Conversations with him are consistently pleasant and we love that he's always open to sharing what he knows about food and drink! The staff also provides kind, speedy service, which we definitely appreciate. The only negative about Murray's is the fact that we only found them a year ago and hate that we didn't find out about them sooner!
