Low lighting, unique light fixtures, perfect background jazz music. Nice place for a date..however. Food was mediocre. Service was welcoming and friendly. Clam chowder...where were the clams? Veal piccatta... disappointing. Haddock..acceptable. We've had better but may return to give it another try. read more

Food is outstanding. The best Caesar salad with roasted chick peas instead of croutons and just the right amount of homemade dressing. Mushroom pasta dish and shrimp lemoncella dishes were fabulous. Can't wait to go back to taste more dishes. Only suggestion for the restaurant is to get pepper mills for ground pepper instead of regular pepper shakers. read more

The bartender was a HOOT! What a conversationalist... He made our visit (which was our first), fun, especially after some commiserating over some loud/poorly behaved kids that were part of a large party nearby. The guy was great - nice pace, wasn't down our throats but made sure we had everything we needed... yada yada. Would come back just to share some laughs with him again. We ordered the tuna poke bowl (me), and chowder + wings (date). All were solid - chowder was nice and hot too. The poke bowl had fantastic flavors and great balance. The oneeeee thing though, the fish wasn't cold. I'm always a bit surprised when raw fish isn't served COLD but more room temp-ish. Still good though! Would probably recommend this place more for a date-night dinner instead of a casual lunch because of the price point on some items ($48 for a dozen oysters, $13 for a cup of chowder), but a nice spot all the same. Everything I ordered was deee-lish!! Crab cakes were crispy on the outside and loaded with crabmeat inside. Shrimp ceviche was super flavorful and the watermelon salad full of super fresh ingredients - the quinoa topping added a fun crunch. Will absolutely return. Great first impression! Made an impromptu decision to grab dinner out with a friend after learning that Dryft was now open. We found seats at the bar without having to wait. Service was well-paced and our server was very knowledgeable. Everything came out great from our cocktails, appetizers to entrees. Small portion of shrimp limoncello pasta was the perfect size and paired well with a Caesar salad. We also enjoyed the grilled octopus with a side of asparagus. Cocktails were both delicious! Went recently for brunch with my family. The burger was good but when will chefs realize that customers want to dictate what's on it. I had the chicken and waffles and was sorely disappointed. The waffles were the best part, except the whole dish was covered with some terrible chili sauce that ruined it. The chicken was coated with a batter full of dry onion and garlic powder like a rub for brisket or ribs and the chicken was way overdone! It missed the mark by a mile. Chef could use some training. We just came from watching a production of the Little Mermaid, so the decor was interestingly familiar to the sets of the play. Service was rushed even though the place was empty. I went with a group of four other friends to celebrate several birthdays in the group. Most, if not all, of us ordered fish meals. I got the swordfish that came with roasted vegetables. The vegetables were very good and nicely presented, and my swordfish was cooked properly. I wish the piece were slightly bigger because of the prices but it was seasoned and presented beautifully. My friend and I both got the same thing and we believe the sauce was some kind of maple sauce that came on and with the fish, but we weren't certain, but it was cool & interesting that the swordfish had a different/unique favor profile vs. the standard you tend to get with swordfish. We split two creme brulees for dessert and they were large and came with fruit, and a major bonus was the waitstaff realized we were celebrating birthdays and brought over the creme brulees with a happy birthday decoration on them and candles. Super nice and sweet! But, the main reason I came on here to write the review was this. My arms were full with packages and when I left Dryft I forgot to snag my left-overs which were in a plastic container. The folks from Dryft actually called my cell phone (who does that? Dryft does that too and as a marketing professional who knows the importance of great customer service, I loved that they called me) -- I was the one who had made the reservation -- to tell me I had left my left-overs and they were kind enough to leave them at the hostess desk for me to pick up. The two women at the hostess desk/area on 7/10/25 evening were two of the nice and friendliest hostesses I've ever had the pleasure meeting at a restaurant -- both when I arrived, but also when I went back to pick up my left-overs, so major shout-out to both of you! Also, again, as a digital marketing agency owner, I adored the fact that Dryft sent me a message today thanking me for dining with them. The food here is 5 Stars hands down! We've had the shrimp limoncello (to die for) the steak frites, the chop salad, the Brussel sprouts bravas (best ever) and the buffalo cauliflower. All were excellent. The service is still struggling, with side dishes coming out 15 minutes before mains and drinks coming out warm, but the staff was quick to remedy this when we told them. Food is ok, but the service is really bad. The waitress who served us was pretty rude. She tried to rush us to finish our food by coming over very frequently and asking us if we are done with dishes. OMG. This restaurant is AMAZING! We went for the first time on Dec 10 for my mom's 86th bday. The food was inventive and delicious-- we ordered a few pasta and fish dishes as well as appetizers and everything was fantastic. The decor is very modern and elegant, but with a fun bar feel at the front if that's what you are looking for. (We were toward the back in a booth, and didn't hear the tv.) What impressed me the most is how kind the staff was and how accommodating they were of my mom's garlic allergies. The manager, Fernando, could not have been more helpful and caring toward my mom. Everyone seemed to know it was her bday and made her feel very special, including bringing out a beautiful chocolate dish with a cute happy bday sign and a candle. What mattered most to my husband and me (and my dad) was that my mom felt special on her big day, and Dryft Wellesley came through with flying colors. I'm in town visiting my daughter as she's turning 21. She chose this restaurant as she had a good experience prior. We had reservation and were seated within 10min of our reservation. I forgot the name of the pasta dish we ordered but it had a pesto base with prosciutto and a salmon with shrimp fried rice. We shared the dishes and I thought they were both pretty good, with the salmon being superb. It's definitely a restaurant I will come back to in the future when I am in town. So then why 4 stars? The service was extremely slow and I'm not sure if it was the mgr or owner that ended up taking our order. This is not a big deal as they were busy and the restaurant had just opened for a few month. So what's the issue? Given that we notified them it was my daughter's birthday that I wished they would had done something unique to make her day. Oh well, the food was delicious and that's good enough for us, but it would have been icing on the cake had there been a little more attention in the detail. read more

Details: The scallops entree included only 3 (three), less than generous. We mentioned this to the server, she brought one more.The Mahi Mahi was tasty but the fish was tough and dry - overcooked. The hummus appetizer was smothered in a thick layer of feta cheese, not quite what we expected. There is no printed dessert menu; offerings were rapidly recited by the server, and we could not hear them clearly over the ambient noise, so we ended up not ordering any. No decaf tea offerings with dessert. Separate checks were requested at the start of the meal before we ordered, but only a single printed check was provided at the end of the meal. read more
