Came in for late lunch on a Sunday. We just missed the brunch (11-3) so it was nice and quiet. I know this a seafood restaurant but OMg they have THE best mashed potatoes! Perfectly whipped with the right amount of butter. Get them!! Everything on the menu looked so good it was hard to choose: - crab cakes had a really nice crust on the outside but I wasn't a fan of the shredded crab/stuffing inside. Lump crab would be so much better - we split the mussels which had a flavorful sauce and came with 2 pieces of dense grilled bread - calamari was okay - Love that they do half/full orders for the house made pastas. Shrimp limoncello was the standout out Love the decor and murals on the wall with the cool lighting and outdoor seating - high tops in the bar/low in the restaurant area - booths around the walls Lots of shared parking in Linden Square but it's usually pretty full.

Dinner with my work team. First time here. Nice menu and very sexy decor vibe inside. Service was good. Drinks I general were a bit weak. The hot and dirty martinis were yummy but a bit weak. Food was delish. Steaks were cooked perfectly. The shrimp Limoncello was delish. Prices are slightly steep but food is really good. Overall a really nice experience.

Reservations were made online 2 weeks in advance and our party of 3 arrived right on time and was seated promptly. The restaurants decor is modern & whimsical. A comfy, vibrant & busy atmosphere that was fun and open. We had assorted appetizers and 3 entree that all were spectacular! I am a lover of oysters, and the assortment offered at Dryft was unmatched! Best I've ever had. Whether you're dining alone at the bar, on a date, with friends or surrounded by family, the atmosphere suits everyone. I can't wait to visit again, and looking forward to trying something new. A+ experience overall!

The food was excellent. I loved my octopus, scallops, tiramisu, and coco noir martini. Service was pleasant. The decor is attractive, especially the glassy ornaments overhead. The restaurant was freezing. Hubby enjoyed his quinoa bowl and was glad the waitress asked if he'd prefer a half-portion of the gnocchi.

We liked this place. The food was good, the ambience was "too," and the service was excellent. But we come back, probably. Are dying to come back, probably not. 3.4 stars in my book. Don't avoid it, but don't make it a "must do" destination.

Great place to have a drink with friends or dinner. The decor is nice and the service is top notch. Had dinner here with a friend on Friday night. The place was packed even with bad weather. I started with the wedge salad and raw oyster. I had the lobster wrapped sole for my main entree which was a special and excellent. Definately would come here again.

Came here for brunch, and it's a great addition to the area! The space and clean, nautical vibe the looks great, and the service is friendly, quick, and attentive. We didn't order too much, but I will definitely be back to try their dinner menu. Tuna nachos - very tasty but very saucy, great to be split as intended, but can only have so much before it get overwhelming Blueberry pancakes - phenomenal. Soft, fluffy, and a fantastic combo of flavors! The passion fruit is subtle but there, and the mascarpone cream was perfection

Gorgeous restaurant, loved the sea-themed decor from the octopus mural to the water-bubble lights. Food is great too. We enjoyed the crabcake starter (served over a nice slaw), seafood risotto, mahi-mahi and corn mango salsa, and the peppercorn beef filets. Food came out fairly quickly. The restaurant wasn't super filled for lunch but there was a big group that took up two large tables that the servers were attending to, so we got a little less attention than I'm sure we would've otherwise. But, I'd come here again.

Great family friendly place in Wellesley! Tried to Golden Beet Salad (5/5), Sweet and Spicy Wings (4/5 a tad over sauced), Mussels (3/5 not sure if I was a fan of the cheesy sauce), Steak Frites (4/5 good but not a great steak cut), Sausage Rigatoni (5/5 this was great), and Haddock (4/5 lacking a bit of flavor). I think this place is a solid nice staple where you know you'll get a good meal!

A Hidden Gem in Wellesley…read more La Toscana's offers a lot more than its facade may suggest. Under the direction of a wonderful new chef, La Toscana's shows what elevated Italian cuisine can be like when care is emphasized from start to finish. We chose to have a milestone birthday celebration at La Toscana's because we had gone there a few weeks prior and were thoroughly impressed. We started the evening with a variety of appetizers including stuffed zucchini flowers, meatballs, and Caesar salads. The stuffed zucchini flowers were an instant favorite at the table-- hot, filled with rich, delicate ricotta, and crunchy on the outside. The meatballs were large, fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the elegant house marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was light and delicious with the welcome addition of sundried tomatoes. We then shared two excellent pizzas-- the margherita for the adults and a cheese for the kids. Both were notable for a crispy thin crust, perfect blend of sweet and tangy marinara, and perfectly balanced cheese. If this weren't great enough, the house-made pasta exceeded expectations. The chef makes the pasta daily and then creates the different types to order right before your very eyes-- in the window of the restaurant. With care and precision, he measures and cuts creating pappardelle, agnolotti, and tortello. Stand-out dishes at the table included the ricotta-filled agnolotti served with a decadent mushroom cream sauce. The pappardelle Bolognese was incredible with the perfect bite to the pasta and a flavorful and balanced meat sauce. The gnocchi with pesto creme is also another dish not to be missed. If you are fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with the chef, you will learn amazing insights into how he thinks about pasta and its preparation as well as his journey to Wellesley. It's a great story! We will certainly be coming back and hope to celebrate more great dinners at La Toscana's.

"I've never taken the high road home The old low road seems…read moreto get me there fast" (John Mellancamp) Alta Strada translates into English as "High Road", and as I enjoyed a dinner there with our party of six, I'm very thankful that our road led us there. It's located on Wellesley's bustling Central Avenue, where you'll need to be lucky to grab a parking spot. You'll find a big parking lot behind Central Street to be much more convenient. It's an elegant higher end Italian restaurant with locations also in Fairfax, VA, Washington D.C., Logan Airport, and in Connecticut at Foxwoods Casino. Service was impeccable with numerous checkbacks and beverage refills. Our table started off with an excellent Garlic Bread appetizer with Spicy Tomato Basil Dipping Sauce ($12) and Nonna's Meatballs with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Ricotta, and Parmesan ($16). I really loved the meatballs! My wife and I split an Arugula Salad with Shaved Mushrooms, Truffles, and Parmesan cheese ($15). It was a large lightly dressed portion that was refreshing and very tasty. Believe me when I say that half a portion was plenty. I ordered an Allagash White and was surprised when it came out as a 16-ounce can and one of the coldest frosted Pilsner glasses I ever ran into ! My wife's entrée was Mama Zecca's Eggplant with San Marzano Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, and a ton of Broccoli Aglio Olio ($29). I ordered the Fedelini Vongole with Manilla Clams, Cherry Tomatoes, Lemon and Parsley over pasta ($29), but a few minutes after I ordered it our server told us it has been sold out. That was the only demerit I saw with the service, I wish I'd have been told when I ordered. Instead, I pivoted to the Rigatoni alla Buttera with Italian Fennel Sausage, Fresh Peas, and Creamy Tomato Sauce over pasta ($29). Fantastic! The two children in our party went with an Individual 6 Slice 12" Cheese Pizza 12" ($17) and side orders of Grilled Chicken Breast ($12) and Grilled Shrimp ($13). When we walked in for our early dinner, Alta Strada wasn't too crowded. By the time we left, it was pretty much jam packed. We had an excellent experience.
