Drywall Envy is a very reasonable and professional contractor. I was initially skeptical about the owners bid; until I had an in-depth conversation about her experience. The short of it ... the owner started a new business after working for her father's 30 year old Drywall business. She has a lot of experience and knowledge about insulation and types of Drywall. The owner came out to my Pasadena property and actually measured my project vs. other contractors who gave me a bid after I sent photos and a guesstimate of my square footage. Also.. unlike other companies that sub-contract after making sure the price includes a hefty fee for you calling them to reach their sub-contractors. The owner was on site working with her team everyday. Don't be fooled by the limited reviews on Yelp and other sites. Response was fast, estimate quick and exact, work was done quickly, MUCH more affordably than other businesses quoted, and the job was done well and included clean up. The business owner was amazing, the guy who came to do the work was amazing, and they never forgot to close my front door so the cats wouldn't get out. I've already recommended them to many people and am so happy I found this business! I live in a condo on the bottom floor and my unit has had 11 leaks so I really need affordable service. A pipe burst in my attic, which led to a water damaged ceiling. I had an insulation company come out, and they were nervous about replacing insulation in the water damaged area. A relative checked the area out and said I should call a professional. I called Drywall Envy and got an immediate response from Marisa. I sent pictures and a video, and within an hour she supplied an estimate and day/time the work could start. Marisa is friendly and easy to talk with. This is so rare in the world of home repair. Marisa and two workers showed up as expected and immediately inspected the ceiling. I appreciated that she gave me two options after the initial inspection, one of which was to salvage most of the sheet rock since the damage wasn't too bad. We opted to salvage and use a stain blocker, and there was texturing to our ceiling. Her team got to work covering the area with drop cloths before starting the ceiling work. I had to turn the A/C off while the work was done, which meant the two workers had to work in hot temperatures. They dealt with everything professionally despite things taking a little longer to dry and being so warm. They cleaned up very well upon completion. Marisa kept me informed the whole way and invoiced me promptly. She even gave me a recommendation for an HVAC company when I asked the next day. This is one of the best experiences I've had since being a home owner. I highly recommend Drywall Envy. read more

I guess she doesn't care for money or clients. Lowes hired a horrible subcontractor who severely damaged our kitchen drywalls when installing new countertops/removing old backsplash. We needed to have them replaced and Drywall envy was one of the few who was willing to do a virtual quote over facetime (which was super helpful given my wife and I both work). Communication was amazing throughout the process and the work was outstanding! Jose did a wonderful job with our drywall and it looks great even though he knew we'll be covering it with a new backsplash.
