I also tried a Ginger cookie which was a good size and very soft and fresh. The surrounding grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. I will almost always pick black coffee over lattes, cappuccinos, and other classic combinations that would potentially mask the flavor notes of good quality coffee. But even then, I admit I'm a bit wary of having tried many cafes where these specialty drinks end up being too sweet. On this particular day, which happened to be Father's Day, I was in the area and looking for something caffeinated in the afternoon. I happened to glance at Cherry & Coffee Cafe's menu on google and saw something called "Black Forest Coffee", which was described as being made with chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries. This sounded intriguing enough that I ventured over to give it a shot. It somehow didn't click in my mind that this wasn't black coffee (I had interpreted/misread the description as having notes of chocolate and cherry).
