The day before my appointment, they asked if I could accommodate a time change from the original 8:30-9:30am arrival window to 10:00-11:00am. I understand that schedules can shift, so I rearranged multiple work meetings to be available during the new window. However, 11:00am came and went with no communication. By 11:20, I reached out via text, and over the next hour I sent additional messages and called twice, even leaving a voicemail. I received no response until 12:02pm, when they texted saying they were on their way and running behind. By that point, all the meetings I had pushed earlier in the morning had already been rescheduled and could not be moved again. When they finally arrived, there was not a single apology. Instead, they repeatedly said, "we have other clients and this is why we give you a window." That explanation doesn't hold up. A service window only works if the business shows up within it or at least communicates proactively if they're going to be late. There was zero communication during the scheduled window and no accountability afterward. My wife and I both work and adjusted our entire morning to accommodate their requested change. To then be treated as if our time didn't matter was incredibly frustrating. At one point, Tayler even asked, "so do you want to do this or reschedule," which felt dismissive given the inconvenience we had already endured. If you have nothing else to do and can wait around indefinitely, maybe this service would work for you. But as a new customer, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend them.

He now requires daily medication, a special diet and a soft fluffy bed. This is not a problem here at all! Just need to fill out all the required forms providing instructions so they can better care for my dog. I just picked up Bear the other day from boarding here. He looked very happy to see me! And was very well cared for. It's easy to book a reservation with Club Pet online. Just create a profile, the more detail you put in about your pet the better. Then sign in and select the dates you need and the type of care for your pet. Then they either call you or email you to confirm. Super nice, friendly, animal loving people work here!

Club Pet had all our dog's information, including her breed, vaccinations, etc, and discussed the social package and group play in detail with us when we toured the facility. She is a 3 year old shepherd mix and has had extensive group play at Snug Pet Resort, as well as other venues. She has never been in an altercation with another dog or human in her life. In fact, she had group trainings at Helen Woodward with Rob Kuty. We brought her in the next day (the afternoon before our travels) so Rob could do a temperament confirmation, since he hadn't trained her in a year. He took her in the back and brought her back to us about 10 minutes later, stating she was not aggressive even when other dogs barked at her; she just backed away. During their absence, we confirmed our intention to purchase 4 social packages so she would have group play while kenneled there. As we were leaving, the receptionist informed us Club Pet would not be offering group play to her. We were puzzled and asked what we needed to do beyond passing the temperament test. We were told to ask Rob. We immediately emailed Rob with our question and were informed it is a NEW POLICY of Club Pet to deny group play to ANY Shepherd. We were told to ask Club Pet what we could do to prove her worthy. I called Club Pet and the same receptionist apologized and stated it was a NEW POLICY of a month or so, and there is no system in place to overcome the prejudice to Shepherds. Since we were leaving the following morning, we had no choice but to leave her in their kennel for 4 days. We did sign up for the 2 one-on-one exercise package per day. There is no mention of this NEW POLICY in their brochure they gave us, on the laminated rate sheet they went over with us at the receptionist counter, on their website, or anywhere else. In fact, the brochure states: "GROUP PLAY REQUIREMENTS: Pass temperament test; Spayed/neutered; Up to date on flea preventative." Nothing about breed prejudice. And, of course, they charged us $30 for the temperament test (which I successfully contested). Shame on Club Pet!

I felt like a pet hotel would be a little stressful for our cats... I got them an automatic food dispenser before the trip, so all I really needed was someone reliable to check on them once a day, empty their litter box and refresh their water. I considered asking our neighbors or a friend to help out with that, but I also didn't want to give them a chore during Thanksgiving week... I found Pet Sitter Carmel Valley here on Yelp and thought they would be perfect for my needs. And indeed they were perfect! Edie and Jen are super friendly and very professional. They stopped by before our trip to meet me and see the cats, they asked all the questions, took the house key and we were all set and ready to go! Jen would text me everyday after her visits to let me know how the cats were doing and she always sent me a few pictures - what was really nice to see when we were missing our fur balls! She even managed to bond with one of our cats I thought would never come out of under the couch when we were away!!! :) I'm so glad I found these ladies! We have Angus, who eats the senior kibble and our puppies , Apollo (4 months) and Artemis, ( 4 months) eat the puppy blend. We have noticed positive changes in their coats and their BMs.And, they seem to smell better, too. We have told all our friends who are pet parents about Pet Wants and to give them a try! Apollo and Artemis (our fur babies) are super spoiled when they step into Pet Wants. Cindy just loves on them which is so nice because it gives me the chance to look around the store. I also haven't been able to find beef tendon sticks anywhere, so I was really happy to see them here. Their selection of treats is definitely worth checking out. Chowder has a sensitive stomach and needs natural treats, so I'm really glad I found this place!
