Fido knocked out after a fun filled day at doggie day camp (:
Beverly E.

I heard about Camp Run a Muck through a coworker and thought doggie day camp would be perfect for little munchkin since I'm always working. The check in process is questionable at first (at least when I saw the sign on the door I was questioning it), but it makes sense. You leave your dog in the car while you go inside to check them in. Once they're checked in you hop back in your car and drive to the back of camp where you can drop him off. The staff will radio one another so they know when someone's coming. I was a little sad dropping him off, but he was so excited he started to piddle and cry with excitement that it made me happy. You can also bring food/treats to leave with them as well. Day camp is $32 with the drop off time as soon as 7 am and the latest pick up at 6pm. Although there is grass - they play area is mostly dirt so expect a dirty dog when you pick them up. They brush them down before pick up though so they're not entirely dirty - but be prepared to give them a bath once they get home. My white westie came home a little 'tan' I guess you could say :) They also have a pool here as well. On a side note, I felt like I was entering the country side when driving into this place.. dirt roads, tiny one-way bridges to cross over, a small river.. I did not feel like I was in San Diego! The girls are perky and friendly. There are lots of quality toys and treats at reasonable prices. The toys here are way better & more durable than most toys at chains like Petco/Petsmart.

I bought our pup Trip a 5 day Camp Run a Muck day camp pass for my brother in law to use while we were on vacation. I thought it be the perfect way to get his energy out, keep him occupied and supervised instead of being home alone during working hours. (I usually take him on adventures but I was on vacay!) Anyways, he passed his temperament test and was good to go! I was nervous in a sense it was like taking my child to his first day of kindergarten. I'm usually always by his side and mama knows him best so letting him go to camp was a big step! All seemed to be going well I got no calls from camp or brother in law any of the days, so I was happy that meant he probably had an amazing time! When we got home Tuesday morning my brother in law said he picked Trip up from camp Monday afternoon and the staff said, "Trip got a little scratch on his ear from another dog playing with a ball" and since they made it seem like no big deal he didn't think twice of it, but when he was home and petting Trip he noticed the "little scratch" was actually pretty gnarly!!! And he wasn't lying when we checked, there was 3 different deep bloody cuts on his ear and head...ouch!!! Luckily no vet visit was needed because he's a healthy boy. No infections just left with scars. My only wish is that staff would of called when the incident happened and NOT sugar coated it. They do not have cameras so no one will ever know, How long did he have the open wound? Did a staff even witness what happened? Were the dogs involved in a fight? Nothing of that sort was said and I like honesty and truth. And for those reasons we will not be back. I'm going to assume they have to many dogs and not enough staff.

Walter is our new English Bulldog pupperoni (11 months) who loves to be around other dogs, though still learning Ps and Qs. We wanted to find a new daycare for them and came across this lovely place on yelp. I emailed them to set up a visit and they were very nice and accommodating. Everyone is sweet, you can tell they love our animals and they are professional. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were able to check out the play area from the window in the lobby (also watched the video on their website) and they let us into the suites area since there were no dogs in there. When Ruth stays for the day, she stays in their suite and probably loves the break from Walter. Walter goes into the playgroup with the other pups. They asked for all the vaccinations and will ask for updated vaccines as well, which we love and feel very comfortable with. We know we stay up to date with everything and we want to be sure our pups are around other pups that have everything updated as well. We love the report cards. Especially since Walter is so young, we like to see how he is doing with the other dogs. I added some of the pics from their recent visit. Just look how happy he is and Ruth loves the big suite and comfy bed. We are very happy with this wonderful daycare.

Our fur baby is now going back for his second Master Class, and Barb was incredibly helpful in getting everything set up for that as well. She went above and beyond to answer our questions and even helped us secure the same trainer from our original 28-day training program, which we truly appreciated. Barb's customer service, knowledge, and kindness made the entire process easy and stress-free. We highly recommend SNUG to anyone looking for quality training, boarding, and grooming services for their furry family members!

Before being accepted as a new daycare/boarding client, a vet exam and proof of vaccinations/fecal test were required, so we we made an appointment and went in for a basic exam. Dr. Nicolle was kind, friendly, and honest which I truly appreciated. She assessed that Snug would not be a good environment for my dog due to her senior age and heart condition, which is under maintenance (she's otherwise a healthy and happy, albeit lazy, 14 year old gal). I'm a little bummed that they don't have something like a separate area for quiet play and lounging, because the facilities from what I could see were so impressive and the staff was friendly. I think my dog would have enjoyed day care there if she was in her younger years or if they had a separate "low key" space. But I truly appreciate Dr. Nicolle's time and honesty with us and her care and attention to my dog, and for that I am happy to leave a positive review :)

Hard NO on boarding at this place…read more Their online boarding accommodations do not reflect reality. The photos on their app make the rooms look comfortable and inviting. Based on my experience, that was not what I found. See the photos and decide for yourself. I booked an expensive "Daystay Deluxe Suite" for my sweet Aussie well in advance and received a confirmation. When I arrived around 5 a.m. before my trip, the employee checking us in told me I was assigned a medium room. I explained that I had specifically booked a suite. He initially insisted I was booked in a medium room, but after I prepared to show him my confirmation, he suddenly changed his tune and said, "Wait a minute." At that point, I was told all the suites were taken. I explained that I specifically chose the suite because it included camera access. The employee was not helpful in resolving the issue. Fortunately, his lead arrived for her shift and was able to find a suite that had become available because another dog was participating in all-day play. My dog ended up taking that room. When I asked how a confirmed reservation could be assigned incorrectly, no one could give me an answer. This was my dog's boarding experience here, and the last thing I wanted was a problem at check-in right before leaving town. I also brought a blanket from home so he would have something familiar and comforting with him. I was told personal items are not allowed due to laundry and lost-and-found concerns, which seemed unreasonable. I provided three pre-portioned meals. He was given the first meal and didn't eat it. Staff then gave him a second meal. After seeing this on the camera, I requested that they not give him the third meal if he still wasn't eating. That third meal bag was never returned, even though he didn't finish the first two. As for the "suite," it looked like a kennel w/walks and a raised platform to lie on. Premium bed is what is advertised. There was also an opening where my dog could see other boarded dogs across from him, which caused him to bark much of the day whenever I checked the camera feed. When I picked him up, he was exhausted and stressed. It did not appear to be a peaceful environment. The entire setup felt more like a rescue facility than the premium boarding experience their marketing suggests. The most disappointing part was spending my trip worried about my dog's well-being instead of feeling confident he was being cared for. Thankfully, this was only a day stay. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Chris and Barbara took our dog on a nice, long walk in the morning and evening. They were very flexible when our schedule changed and we needed to adjust the pick up time. We were so appreciative and touched (especially my daughter)!
