I love the report cards they provide so when you leave your puppy overnight, you always know how they are doing. Tosca loves loves loves it here! Everyone that works at Dog Days is amazing. Tosca is as excited to see the humans as she is the dogs. She will go say hi to all the humans first. The photos say it all. Most are of her at the daycare and a few are after being picked up from Dog Days. Tosca is a rescue from Ensenada. We started fostering her in April. She was a shop dog and I took her home each night and well, I eventually adopted her because c'mon just look at her ~ she's friggin adorable ~ She was almost a perfect dog ~ she just needed socializing. She loves everyone and is such a happy dog but she used to get over excited when she saw other dogs ~ so walks weren't a lot of fun. Our dog loves Dog Days! He has been going for daycare consistently for 6+ months now and he is typically exhausted afterwards. Dog Days offers full and half day daycare options along with overnight boarding. They also offer pack hikes and grooming options to add on as well. While they have daily rates, they also have monthly packages and even an unlimited option. We typically purchase a package that expires within 31 days after first use. For boarding, the package expires within 365 days. Our dog has done great at daycare and boarding. We like the fact that for boarding, the dogs can sleep either in the open or in a kennel. Our dog would play nonstop if he could, so we appreciate when the staff helps him take a nap when he needs it! The staff is very friendly and they really care for the dogs. On occasion, we'll add on a bath and they make sure that he is bathed close to pick up time. Tips: -Purchase a package to save money. -Reservations can be made online; however, they are not confirmed until they accept it (you will get an email confirmation). It typically does not take long for the reservation to be confirmed. -If you need to cancel a reservation, be sure to do so 24 hours in advance, or you will be charged a fee. -Currently there is only one customer allowed in the lobby at a time. First- the standard daycare experience. The staff is well trained and they helped my young, enthusiastic but somewhat nervous dog with his social skills. 10/10 for straight daycare. But the add ons- they're so under rated and used! For $75 you can add on a private hour long training session for your dog. We happen to work with Lindsey for private training and started coming to Dog Days when she said they were starting this. So for about the cost of a private training session with me, my dog gets a day of play at camp AND a private training session to reinforce his manners. Amazing deal. PLUS they have other adds like lick mats and outings that are such amazing add ons for your dog. I want to be the source of fun for him, but I have to work so it's so amazing knowing the incredible staff will work his body and mind while I'm at work. He's always thrilled to go there and he's a drama queen so that must mean it's a great time! This place makes me so sad... because I don't live in San Diego and my little Psyche does not get to visit often. I had planned a weekend in San Diego with my partner and on the day we were leaving, we realized that we had to bring our dog too. So we all had a beautiful weekend but on Sunday, we were visiting the zoo, and obviously she couldn't come with us. I found this place on Google and gave them a call. Filled some forms and 2 days later, I left my little girl there. It was my first time leaving her in any day care. I've only left her at the groomers before and even that only happens rarely. But I felt beyond comfortable. Taylor was there to receive us, and she's super sweet. A few hours later I got a report card which I will probably end up framing and 8 hours later, I picked up a very very happy puppy who went straight to sleep, passing out from all the fun she clearly had. Love dog days! My puppy was 4 months old when a trainer recommended I send him here a couple days a week to allow him to socialize with other dogs in a safe environment. I was really nervous at first but the staff put me completely at ease! They do an initial temperament test to make sure the pups will do well in the environment. They send you a detailed report on the first day (including info about the friends your pup makes:) !). The workers are always so kind and clearly care about the dogs and pay attention to each one. I truly don't know how they do it with so many dogs! They also offer an extensive list of add ons - training sessions, treat times, pack walks, etc., while your dog is there. I hadn't planned on boarding my puppy but he loves DD so much I brought him here the first time I went away for the weekend and he did great! They upload cute photos and videos on Instagram stories, as well as high quality photos of the pups on Facebook everyday so us humans could stay connected while away. Most recently, Seb needed medications administered and they were able to do that without an issue. We've also done the pack walk add-on which he seemed to enjoy going out to the trails for a change of pace during his boarding stay. One last comment is they do a REALLY good job with grooming nails. I don't know who is performing their grooming services, but his nails are perfectly dremeled every time he comes home from a full bath there. I love my pup and I feel especially safe leaving him here. It's very clean and organized. Pretty affordable if you ask me and a great place for him to be when I'm busy or need a break. My dachshund has social anxiety and they are very supportive about getting him out of his shell. He eventually did! My dogs love this place, and I love it too! The staff is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about all things dogs. Due to my schedule my two dogs had to stay there for days at time (overnight) and at one point longer, the facility is not only super clean, it's always organized. The staff know each dog by name and their owners too, which means so much when you are leaving your treasures behind for long periods of time. The staff always check in when they have questions (people do not assume there). They also provide feedback with ways to make your dog happier. Our dogs have participated in hikes, beach outings, and also personal pick-up. All of these services we rate at 100% and worth every penny. We have been members for over two years, and it's always consistent, which is what has kept us there. One last thing! My pit pull mix is 100% deaf, and they are clearly observant about her needs. To start- THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Bunch of damn saints across the board and great people. They are half of the reason we were able to make it through the toughest 6 months of dog ownership ever and were able to keep our dog. We adopted a rescue that was picked up from the streets of Rosarito last year....she gave us the puppy dog eyes and my wife and I turned to mush and took her home. Turns out when the rescue said "she's just a little timid, don't worry she'll get over it within a few days", what they meant was she's one of the worst possible combinations of difficult breed genetics and fear reactivity our multiple professional trainers had ever seen. And we live smack dab in the middle of downtown with loud noises, terrifying men all over the place, and a large homeless population...all of her main triggers. Poor pups nails never grew past nubs during the first 4-5 months because she was constantly fear pulling and wearing them down . The only thing our little stress case wasn't scared of or felt comfortable around were other dogs, so daycare ended up being a great "escape" for her in the beginning. Dog days was the ONLY daycare that our dog felt comfortable/ok with the staff on the first day(even the men!) and their initial observation process is top notch and conducted with professionalism and care. I am so thankful that they set her up for success and handled my multiple annoying check in phone calls that first week. 10 months of bi-weekly daycare, a boatload of $$$$ on professional training and 100's of training sessions later, our pup is living a happy life walking around downtown with her tail wagging and without the fear. We had rescued a Frenchie and were looking for a place to send her for daycare and overnight boarding. First place we went to said she was too excited and didn't pass the temperament check after 5 minutes. So we scheduled her for her first day at Dog Days. After 15 minutes they told us her excitedness was not uncommon for Frenchies and they can certainly work with her to play better. Now she loves going there and the staff have nothing but good things to say about her. I am grateful they have the patience and passion to work with dogs. My two dogs had a blast here yesterday. My fiance and I were in San Diego for the weekend for wedding tastings and a country concert. We weren't able to check into our airbnb until the evening, so during the day we had to find a daycare ahead of time that the dogs could spend the day at. I found Dog Days on Yelp and contacted them to make a reservation for them. The process was easy and we got our free first day of daycare. They both passed the temperament test and got to play there until right before closing time. They looked so happy playing and when we picked them up after 7 hours, they were tired and ready to sleep. Best day ever! This place has very experienced employees and they can answer any questions/concerns you may have. The facility is well maintained and clean.
