On the day of tree cutting, a six-man crew came to my yard and the entire cutting and trimming job is done in 3.5 hours, very productive, professional and safety work! The crew cleaned the area very thoroughly and next day a different crew came for the root removal, done in half an hour. Five stars and two thumbs up for the team work, professional, safety and the price. Definitely will come back to Diaz for the next job.

It was easy to work with them via phone, and the team showed up promptly on time. They "thought outside the box" and worked with our backyard neighbor to plan a route that would have the least impact to our landscape and our home during the cut. They loved conversing with my father in law, and traded stories and equipment with him. They did everything so efficiently and cleaned up afterward, always checking in and being very communicative on what to expect during the process. In only a few hours, a huge tree was removed safely, with only a stump (and a few tree slices we requested as souvineirs) left behind. The stump grinder team came the next day and provided the same level of professionalism and efficiency to get the job done. They provided some tips on how to get the grass to grow over the dirt pile, but otherwise, you would have never known a tree to be there. There was some issues with my payment (apparently the bank doesn't accept checks written in purple pen), but they were very patient about it all and never pressured about it, so it never felt like "business". I would definitely recommend Diaz tree removal for any job in the area!

I finally decided to give his business a try by doing basic lawn maintenance once. The guys showed up, cut only a part of the lawn and then were about to leave before finishing the job properly. The guy cutting the lawn said he was concerned about the new grass even though the grass had been growing for almost 6 weeks by then. Then he recommended I fertilize the lawn to deal with weeds which didnt make sense. Weed killer or over seeding would have been a better solution. After I canceled the service he sends me a bill for higher than his original estimate for weekly service.

Jonathan has done basic landscaping for me, built walkways, built retaining walls/playground platforms, painted my house, repaired my gutters, repaired sidewalks, paved driveways, etc. He can handle or knows someone who can handle any job. His work is top notch, aesthetically pleasing, and his pricing is really competitive. Jonathan stands by his work, he transplanted some trees for me in the past and when one died, he replaced it on his own. Jonathan has also grown into a trusted family friend. When my father was sick with cancer and his furnace gave out, Jonathan drove over at night to fix it and get the heat back on. He does the same for me. It snowed one winter and I needed to get out of my garage for work, Jonathan was there to plow me out! I would highly recommend Jonathan without hesitation for any outdoor landscaping or construction needs

Nice guy, the work he actually did was nice, just issue with price and honesty. He moved the trees successfully, the branches he did trim he did alot, and he killed off the grass on area well, and he cleaned up all the leaves well and removed a tree nicely too. overall easily a four star guy but he lacks attn to detail and honesty. Update - March 2018 Hostile response and still service was done done correctly. Lawn still has no grass and paid $1k for literally half the job complete and a hostile response. It has been over 55 degrees and still no grass. Avoid this contractor he is done before he starts and over promises

Unprofessional Part 2 So I get a call from this moron (guess he read my review). Didn't want to talk to him after listening to the usual "my step uncle on my mother's side got eaten by a leaf mulcher...) All it would have taken was a phone call. Left work early to meet him. So I hung up. Got a 2nd call where he called me a "Son of a Bitch!" Steer clear of this jerk. Unprofessional Part 3 So that's Harold's response. He had a tummy thing. Hey Harold...pick up your cell phone (or have someone do it for you if it's too complicated" All you had to do was call. Would have gladly rescheduled. Is that so hard to understand? And yes...Harold did call...26 hours after the appt. Hey Harold...when the little hand is on the 2 and the longer hand is on the 12...that's when you call... Unprofessional Part 4 I'll type slow so you can understand Harold. The appt was for 2 PM. You called a day later to try to reschedule. The service industry is filled with people like you who make appts thenl fail to show up. Anyone reading this...go somewhere else. PS: Noticed you changed your original unprofessional response.

He had very smart ideas on how to best develop our space and he guided his team in expertly fulfilling our vision. Joe promised, and Joe delivered…read more When my wife and I moved out of Brooklyn and bought our home in East Brunswick, we fell in love with all the landscaping the previous owners meticulously put in. Our property felt like a botanical garden, far exceeding the standard run-of-the-mill landscaping jobs you see in most neighborhoods. What I didn't realize at the time was how completely unprepared I was to maintain this level of landscaping. Even after renewing the previous owners' contract with Broehl's (the local gold standard for lawn care and maintenance) there was still too much to do. Unfortunately, I have a black thumb for this kind of thing, and there's only so many checks I can afford to write to try and keep things looking good. So for the past few years my wife and I have actually invested money in scaling *back* some of the landscaping; essentially ripping out and replacing some of the more complicated beds that have steadily been beat on over the last few brutal winters and didn't look good any more. When we met with Joe, we were clear that we wanted nice-looking beds, but nothing that would be over-the-top difficult to care for and maintain. And we wanted clear sight lines down our front yard so we could see our kids playing in the street. The overall amount of work we need to do to get our property where we really want it is pretty staggering, so Joe discussed a phased plan that would allow us to get started without breaking the bank. Long story short, he and his crew ripped out the mess of bushes and plants and undergrowth that marked the front and center portion of our lawn. He designed a simple, but elegant bed that he said would look great but wouldn't be impossible to maintain. He took photos of our property in advance, and then simulated his recommended design over the photos via computer, allowing us to "see" what it would look like before we'd have to commit. As you can see from the photos, Joe and his crew did a great job. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work. We get a ton of compliments on the before and after. (Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the before, but trust me -- this was a huge leap forward.) Truth be told, you're really at a disadvantage if you cannot do at least some of your own landscaping. Professional landscaping is expensive -- plain and simple. And frankly, I hate paying for it. But as I said in my previous review, Joe is a no-nonsense, honest businessman. If, as the saying goes, a man is only as good as his word, Joe is a good man. He and his crew are completely professional and do great work at a very competitive price. Just look at the photos and see the work for yourself. And feel free to message me if you have any questions or want to learn more.
