This place has been in Columbia for a while, and the food is pretty consistently good. Wings are their specialty, but they have a Ton of things to chose from on their menu. We got there right after the USC game, so it was getting pretty crowded. They told us it would be at least 15 minutes to get a table, but we were actually seated in 5 minutes. As usual I had trouble deciding what to get and what flavor wings I wanted. We had a great waitress and she brought me out 4 sauces to try. She was very sweet and attentive. This was my 2nd or 3rd time going to D's Wings and I was not pleased with my food. Our server (customer service) was great, but unfortunately the meal was not the best. The wings weren't fresh and tasted as if we received the wings under a warming light tossed in the selected wing flavors. Not fresh. The raw fries weren't cooked all the way. They were still soggy with grease. I noticed others meals around us looked fresh and the raw fries were crispy. It was busy and I'm not sure if they rushed out food, but it was not up to par. Anyone who brought that plate would have known that wasn't up to standard, based on how the other plates were prepared. I would have preferred to wait in order to receive fresh food. Also, I still left the server a great tip, because that wasn't their fault. Unfortunately, I do not know if I will return due to this experience. I would have let the server know, however, I've had poor experiences with these situations. And, people often get offended, which leaves the customer getting the short end of the stick. So let's get the bad out of the way. Garlic parmesan wings are absolutely disgusting. White sauce with garlic powder, has to be the worst garlic parmesan wing I have ever seen or tasted. Try ordering a Grand Margarita that's on their table menus but told they didn't have the things needed to make the drink. Would've stay and ate another 12 wings if they had the drink I wanted. It arrived with raw fries. That was corrected. The blame was placed on the kitchen. The steak on my sandwich was very fatty. Extremely fatty! The waitress did bring us refills for our drinks. I cant begin to say how disappointed we were with the all you can eat crab legs, not to mention they are now charging $47 per person. The crab legs were not freshly cooked and we told our waitress they were like warm at best. She informed her manager and the kitchen then started sending out hot crab legs that were simply reboiled and over cooked. You could tell the crab legs were not being freshly cooked, but precooked and sitting in warm water. The legs were bendable and rubbery the meat was mushy and hard to get out of their shell. We came here for my girlfriend's birthday and I've honestly never had a better experience at a restaurant. Everyone, from the hosts, Bar backs, to our lovely waitress Charity made us all feel like we were at home. We all commented on the fact that the work environment seemed like a healthy one because the entire staff had a good attitude and no one seemed stressed despite the building being full of people. The smell is a little weird which I think is from the oil that they fry their wing chips in. We frequent this place and 80% of the time our service is great, but the other 20% it's just okay or slow.
