I can't say enough good things about this place. So I'll hit the main points that most people look for in a mechanic. Price: This place is incredibly fair in pricing, I'm a recent college grad with an old car and I'm always concerned about how much it will cost to fix anything. I'm always assured that not only am I getting a fair price, but I was also explained what exactly was being done to my car (despite my limited knowledge of cars). Service: This is where this place shines. I know very little about cars and while other mechanics are sometimes annoyed, dismissive, or even down right rude, you will find none of that here. My genuine concern for my car was met with a courteous and patient attitude. Also they go above and beyond simply good customer service; for example the owner Dan offered me a ride back to my house after I dropped my car off. Speed: These guys are crazy fast, I've brought my car in twice and both times I've my keys back in my hand in less than 48 hours. I think Dan (the owner) is one of those rare mechanics who you can trust to do a great job, give you a fair price, and have you walk away feeling confident your money was put to good use. I have been taking my 2 vehicles (a Saab and a Ford) to DSC for the past few years and couldn't be happier with the service I received. Dan (the owner) is a very knowledgeable mechanic who has worked for several major luxury brand dealerships. That training and experience shows. Dan has been able to quickly diagnose and fix any issue I have ever thrown at him. Dan is not only very knowledgeable, he is also very honest and his prices are very fair. If something does not need fixing or Dan thinks there is a cheaper solution, he will let you know. On top of that, he is very personable and will go out of his way to explain exactly what was wrong or what needs fixing, and what the different options are. One additional advantage of DSC Auto: Dan has extensive experience working on Saabs. Saabs can be a bit quirky and not every mechanic can work on them. With the brand no longer in existence and dealerships disappearing, it is great to have a local expert available! I was in the market for a new neighborhood mechanic when a buddy of mine referred me to DSC. Dan (the owner) has thorough knowledge of every issue that is thrown at him. Not only that - but he is very fair and honest. His pricing is very reasonable. I'm not sure if he does this out of habit or on purpose - but every time I have asked to see the part or parts that have had issues - he always has them on hand to show me what went wrong - THAT is not always seen at a mechanic shop. DSC does excellent work, has a friendly and courteous staff, and is extremely price competitive and honest. I bring all of our vehicles there (Audi's Q7 & A6, Volvo, and Range Rover) Never a question that your repair will be done quickly and right the first time! I met Dan when we lived in Westborough. My wife really enjoyed working with Dan because he's unlike some of the jerks we have met along the way. He quickly became a local friend and that small town vibe is appealing. Offering loaners, a ride home in the rain, and to fit us in when we needed help. He also had a way with doing some extras cause he was there and could no charge. You would not expect that, he just treats us like family. I moved out of town and miss walking over to say hello on my dog walks. I recall one night I picked up my van late and I needed to go on a roadtrip. I recently had a large brake job done at DSC Auto (front calipers, front and rear rotors, pads, inner and outer tire rods, and some other miscellaneous maintenance/repairs) for my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. Dan did a phenomenal job and the car brakes better than ever. He was very responsive through phone calls, texts, and e-mails and kept me updated with the repairs. Most importantly, his top-notch work came at a very reasonable price (the dealership quoted me almost double the amount Dan did).
